Right not Trump is last on my right(ish) candidates list, but that puts him ahead of most every lefty and about teh only thing that I would vote for BO ahead of would be Pelosi and Reid - and I would even include moen in my preferences over BO.

Don't assume! Regulated Capitalism is just fine. Laissez-faire Capitalism where the country is sacrificed for the benefit of the few is just crazy. We approach ever closer to Fascism when we turn this country over to the robber barons and those that believe that the free market will solve all of our problems. Believing in the nanny corporation and trusting that private industry will take care of everything is even dumber than believing that the state will take care of everything. After all, we have already seen them ship our jobs overseas, pollute our environment, crash our economy, the S & L crisis, Bernie Madoff, Enron, Arthur Anderson, Jack Abramoff, the tobacco industry lies, all because they care about you and I so much. They have a lot of power to do a lot of damage and have shown a willingness to use that power. If you can put blinders on and ignore all of that, good for you. May you and your families ground water be polluted, your air be filthy, your jobs be in Indonesia, and your children's lives be far worse than yours. Your short-sightedness will have a price.

Trump would be way down my list as well (but well ahead of any of the Dim doofus' out there) but it would be tough using the handling of one's own finances as a litmus test. If you'll remember, during the campaign, BO told several stories of how he struggled with debt, not having enough money to rent a car, etc and all of this was well after he & his wife were both lawyers and had written books. Heck, Michelle may have already had one of her cushy jobs by then. If I had to pick between a guy who had never tasted success vs one who has rebounded & achieved it several times, give me the one who has had some success.

If you asked TomCorona to provide a poster child for his anti-capitalist and anti-republican rants, Donald Trump would be the guy. He has no chance to become President. His only redeeming quality is that he is not a politician. However, that in combination with his huge ego will sink his candidacy very quickly. If the 2012 ballot is Trump vs Obama, then I will be voting for Jimmy McMillan (not kidding).

He may be successful but that does not mean that he can run a whole country.

I thought he was a liberal, anyway. What are the Republicans all in love with him about?

He isnt a liberal. He is a sideshow attraction. And now he is a birther(one who believes Obama wasnt born on American soil). I think he is a Tea party member also. But he really is just a publicity monger.

I could of sworn he was all for government medicine before. And was pro choice? I will have to look up where most of his donations have gone over the years.

No doubt he is a publicity *****, though. Bet his show gets a bump every time he is on a political move.

So how many of you buy into this birther nonsense Trump is pushing and the fact that it resonates with so many wing nuts on the Right that he is polling number one within the Republican ranks? That is 2 different questions I realize. First there is the Trump part and then there is the nutty birther crowd. I think most of you will be afraid to answer this/these question(s).

    No!
And there you go making assumptions again.
    And then more assumptions

The only thing I assumed was that few would answer. I haven't been proven wrong yet.

And he is polling number one because "it resonates with so many wing nuts on the Right".
And that the "birther crowd" is nutty.
And that the reason someone because might not answer would be because they are afraid. BTW, afraid of what?

So you tell us why he is polling number one with Republicans! It’s not an assumption on my part, it is the truth apart from my opinion.
Almost half of the Republicans polled in Iowa believe Obama was born outside of the United States. That is the definition of the nutty birther crowd not an assumption. Every independent fact check organization has confirmed this already even many non-birthers in the GOP.
I think people have been afraid to admit that they are birthers on this forum. Are you?

So the definition of a nutty birther is "Republicans polled in Iowa"? Interesting! Therefore a republican in Illinois cannot be a nutty birther.

Am I? Asked and answered. Learn how to read, moen.

No I do not buy into the birther stuff.

And I think Trump is polling so well mostly because he is a celebrity. And because the news is focused on him since the elections are a long ways away and not much else is going on there. So Trump is their story and he eats it up. Which, along with the celebrity, makes him high profile in the polls.

So what does it say that you are making posts at 3PM on a Tuesday afternoon, and proclaiming that everybody is scared to respond to your post after only 3 hours. It says UNEMPLOYED to me. Getting a life (or job) clown.
The birther stuff is ridiculous. Trump talks about it because he knows that it will get him publicity. The hardcore Republicans don't really believe in the birther stuff no matter what they say. But saying they believe gives them one more reason to openly hate the current Democratic President, Obama. I really think the Republicans would do anything as long as it gave them a reason to take a shot at Obama.

I proclaimed nothing of the kind vulgar boy. You always head straight for the gutter in every post. That is why I mostly ignore you no matter what you tell yourself. Why crawl into the sewer with people like you? No point.
Oh, Oh, "the hardcore Republicans don't really believe in the birther stuff no matter what they say"? Are you really saying that? They are the only ones that actually believe it. That is as dumb a thing to say as saying that it is liberals pushing the birther issue and there are people on the right that have said exactly that. How do you not find yourself cover with stretch marks after doing that much twisting? I think that you underestimate the stupidity of the Republican base.

You make absolutely no sense. You flit off on tangent after tangent and then chastise others for not following. The problem with you is closer to home.
