    Mr. Moen,
Please take this blank page and help educate us as to why you would like to see more Socialism in America. Please tell us why you endorse it. Why do you agree with 100% of everything that self proclaimed Socialist Bernie Sanders says ?

    Educate us here..........

    Thank you

I wouldn’t call myself an expert on Socialism by any stretch of the imagination Jack, but compared to the Right wingers on this forum, I am a friggin genius. You guys believe every misconception out there without question or exception or any real knowledge. You guys are sort of the trifecta of self-imposed pure ignorance on Socialism. Education is the best cure for that but I am by no means the best teacher. But I will tell you what I do know.

Socialism isn’t Communism. If you stand up for workers rights as unions have done for decades and the rights you are currently benefiting from, it doesn’t mean you are a Socialist. Do actual card carrying Socialists exist in this country – Oh yeah, and they have been around for decades. Here is a list of all political parties in the U.S. Look how many are Socialist or even Communist.

In short, their have been actual Socialists, Communists, Marxists, Pirates – yeah pirates, for many years in this country. And yet we are still dominated by the two-party system and headed for a corporate Oligarchy.

How about our allies? Let’s see, I think the UK currently has over 150 Socialists seated in Parliament, Germany has 23% of their seats that belong to the Socialist Party, Greece has over 160 seats that belong to the Socialist Party, Canada currently seats 97 Socialists in their Parliament, and France has 36 actual Communists seated in their assembly. Does that make our allies all a bunch of dirty Socialists in your opinion?

The only thing I have ever advocated for is a greater mix of political factions including a political party that looks out for the workers in this country. Right now, the wealthy control about 100% of the legislative process and we the workers are falling behind with no real representation in government. If left unchecked, Socialism taking over will be the least of your problems as large multinationals call all the shots and we the workers that built this country will have no voice, no rights, no representation in our own country. It is already moving that way at an accelerated pace thanks to the Tea Party Governors across the Midwest stripping hardworking people of their long-held rights and union representation. Why do I not have the same unrealistic fear of Socialism you guys suffer from, because I know the real danger is coming from the other side of the political divide and people like you are defending and helping to bring about your own demise. When the final hammer eventually comes down, it won't be in the hands of any Socialists but rather ther corporate overlords you have defended all these years. I wonder if that will make it hurt more or not?

Here is what your masters have done to make all of our lives easier, richer, and lined their own pockets at the same time. You can bow down to them and lick their feet because their daddy died and handed them a lot of money or you can work for a more equitable existence for your own social class.

    The Koch Brothers Activities

    • Oil spills: Koch Industries, Inc. was fined $30 million in 2000 to resolve claims related to 300 oil spills across America.
    • Anti-worker: The Kochs have spent more than $34 million to fund groups and individuals that work against workers rights, including WI Gov. Walker.
    • Anti-healthcare: The Kochs financed the Tea Party's fight against health care reform with over $5 million in funding to Americans for Prosperity.
    • Anti-immigration: The Kochs have given $468,000 to ALEC, a group responsible for anti-immigration bills such as SB1070.
    • Foreclosures: The Kochs fund The Reason Foundation and the Mercatus Center, think tanks that support continued foreclosures on working people's homes.

The Koch brothers dont affect me or my way of life. What they do with their money is up to them. They certainly seem to be the kind of people who would never have any one in this room over for a drink. I'm sure there are wealthy Dems that give a whole bunch of money to causes they believe in. And like the Koch's; not for the greater good, but for their own gain.

I just wanted to add that, at the time, Martin Luther King Jr. was labeled a Communist by the Right wing in this country. They did everything they could to align him with various Communists groups of that time but as history played out, no evidence has ever been produced that has proven he was even remotely related to any Communist group.
Today, with almost no Communists countries on the map, the accusation that someone of prominence in this country is a Communist, sounds even sillier than it did in the 1960's. I have regularly been labeled a Socialist or even a Communist in this forum by Right wingers because their tactics don’t change much over the years. To be honest, I’ve never even met one much less converted to one. I have come to understand that if you stand up for the worker’s rights in this country, you will sooner than later be labeled a Socialist. If standing up for worker’s rights makes me a Socialist in some people’s eyes, then I will simply consider the source as well as the anti-worker sentiment behind the comment. Besides, I am in good company if I MLK Jr. and me merit the same label.

Was this the same time the Dim's were ordering attacks on Civil Rights marchers with dogs & fire hoses? Blocking school desegregation? The same time Dim patriarch Robert Byrd was leading clan meetings? Is that the time you are referring to?
