dr moen, if I had to take a job at the sanitation dept to pay the bills & feed my kids, I would do it proudly. I still don't get why you would have such distain for this or any other blue collar job.
Look whos talking? What changes in your political stance have you made that you learned from Republicans in here?
No nonsense. I stand by my statement. The inability of your brain to connect synapses may cause it to misinterpret words which is no concern of mine. You can take my statement any way you desire. Now, back to Van Jones and his admission to being a communist... no comments?
Sorry, but that's not going to fly. From his own lips, he's a "self-described" communist. Had he described himself as a cocaine-user, don't you think the Administration would want to know if he's still using cocaine before they hired him? It's true that someone could have dabbled in communism when they were young and then have seen the error of their ways. However, Van Jones has not come out and said that he's no longer a communist. I should think that's enough to have kept him out of the Administration. I'm not really keen on communists bending the ear of the President inside the White House. Are you?
I noticed you said "he's" as in a contraction for "he is" knowing that Politifact has already debunked that based on many other things he has said far more recently than the 90's. If you are still maintaining that he has to actually say, "I am not a Communist" or he is a Communist as you seem to be, then I will continue to say that the McCarthy comparison is completely apt here. You've done nothing to change that except say that it isn't going to fly but you never say why. That isn't a counter argument. Last time I checked, our political system had no laws against Communists, Socialists, or any number of other political parties. No one has had to stand up and say that they are not Communists in this country since McCarthy, another Republican. And last time I checked, Jones doesn't work for the Obama Administration. So all in all, your arguments are pretty lame.
The question is what have I learned not how has my political stance changed. I have learned a lot. As a matter of fact I've learned that the people that have polar opposite views from myself value ideology over truth, narratives over substance, and labels over reality. My political stance has been reaffirmed by what I have learned here. I didn't use to care much about politics. Now I'm very involved locally and nationally. Thank you Righties!
''I told him the next time he was alone that he could feel free to copulate with everyone in the room.'' This isnt up to interpertation. Perhaps you can shed light on what this statement is to mean. Without being dodgy. As for Van Jones. Well that article only reads..''He said he is a communist.'' It wasnt a quote.
Good God, man! Are you that thick-skulled? When the man says, "I am a communist", how much clearer can it be?
You spin like a top, Moen. You already knew about Van Jones before he was even brought up in this forum. I'm sure you were hoping that no one would bring him up, but they did. Now, you're spinning it like crazy in an attempt to downplay that a communist was in the Administration. You're right about one thing, however... there's no law against being a communist. I asked if you wanted them in the White House and you're deftly avoiding answering that. If you asked me if I wanted communists in the White House, my answer would be "Hell no"!
You certainly are a persistent little _______ (fill in the blank), I'll give you that. What I said: "The next time you're alone, please feel free to copulate with everyone in the room." Now, I'm not going to explain any further; my words speak for themselves. If you read and you have a brain, you can interpret that quote any way your little heart desires. I'm beginning to think that maybe, just maybe, you enjoy seeing the word "copulate" over and over again...
Where is THE RENT IS TOO DAMN HIGH PARTY? McMillan for President in 1012 So, he didn't get the millenium correct, but the song is pretty damn good. He has my vote! The Rent Is Too Damn High Party
