I find it interesting that Fox is playing the victim here. Kind of like Sarah Palin. I'd like to see the video of someone "assaulting" one of their reporters. You're in a sea of protesters and people are all too familar with your biases and lies and they are upset about your news organization making the protesters out to be the bad guys when they are the ones losing pay in this situation and you get bumped around in the crowd of protesters and call it "assault". What a bunch of BS! Show me the tape Fox! I seriously doubt anything bordering on assault took place nor should it but if you have the reputation Fox has built for itself, how far down the road is an actual assault by people sick of their lies? Fox Views - False and Biased
So what you are saying is that if someone disagrees with your opinion, you have the right to "bump" him around all you want. Is that what you are saying?
I'm saying that you are going to get bumped around in a sea of protesters no matter who you are but "assault"??? I don't think so unless you are just eager to play the victim. Obviously, these people do not like Fox covering this story or they wouldn't be putting their hands in front of the cameras and chanting "Fox lies!" during their taping. I certainly believe 100% that Fox has a right to cover the story and in no way should anyone ever actually assault their staff but Fox is sort of the reaping what it sews due to the lack of any kind of journalistic integrity. I don’t believe that the protesters have assaulted them but I do believe that they are angry with Fox. Do you believe this guy was "assaulted"? Have seen any videos of him being "assaulted"?
Reporter Mike Tobin Harassed, Attacked - Fox News Video - FoxNews.com The reporter may have been assaulted (or been a victim of battery). During the taping, the reported stated, "That guy just hit me". The viewers didn't see the the incident because there was a cutaway back to the State Capitol shortly before the reporter said it. The reporter, the accused and any witnesses only know what really happened. Video evidence is unnecessary, but might help to prove his case. I have to ask, "Was the reporter assaulted?" Well, he did say that he was "hit" so I tend to agree that he was assaulted since I don't have evidence to the contrary and I have no reason to disbelieve him. Was the reporter describing a "hit" as a full-on, closed-fist punch? Was he describing a rap on his knee by someone with a picket sign? Was he describing a push by a protester walking by? At this point, we can't say. Without further knowledge of the incident, however I don't think it would be fair to diminish the reporter's account.

I was at the Taste of Chicago one year with about a million other folks and I was assaulted too. Many times! Sorry, I don't have the film either.
Well by the Fox News definition I was assaulted. I couldn't even begin to count the number of people that bumped into me. There were 100,000 in the crowd in Madison on Saturday. If you've ever been to Wisconsin, you'd wonder if there are even 100,000 people in the state. The reporter must have been bumped by an outside agitator.
Not enough information to determine if those are bumps or assaults. We need to know the party affiliations of the people involved first.
No. You said you were assaulted "by the FOX News definition", but you've failed to explain what that definition is. It's rather senseless to compare one thing to another thing, but not provide a comparison model. As it stands now, I believe the FOX News reporter was assaulted just as I believe you when you say that you were assaulted.
