Drug testing

Do you believe that in order to get any help from the government you should be tested for drugs? I am talking about food stamps and things along that line.

 

I really don't see any reason why not. If you don't want to be drug tested, don't take the assistance. Of course, I was also drug tested all the time in 20+ years of military service so I may have a different outlook on it. I also think all government employees should be drug tested. As well as Congressmen, Justices and the President and any staff that get government paychecks.

 

Yes I agree so much with you Stu. It is not fair that people get assistance but yet they still have the money for drugs. Come on. Get real.

 

That's ridiculous. The market should decide.

 

Kroger? Schnucks? HEB? Shop and Save? I have no idea if they drug test or not.

You absolutely should be drug tested if you want to receive public assistance. Parenting skills, continuing education, career counseling and volunteer assignments should also be considered.

 

We are tested at random in the aeropace industry.

 

I like the idea of random testing. That way you never know. So you will not hopefully do it.

No, I don't go to those rallies. Too many rednecks in pickup trucks wielding their daddy's shotguns still angry because they lost the war.

My rednecks were on the winning side. My rednecks are also heavily into God and unions and a lot of them vote for Dems. Just 7 miles down the road, Gore, Kerry and Obama all won in the Pres elections. You'd love it here....except we have gays. But, come to think of it, you'd probably find a lot of people for your rallies.

 

God, unions, AND they vote against the republicans?? Sounds like a pretty decent place with pretty decent folks! What happened? Everybody leave you or you left them?? Gays are cool too (long as they don't watch Fox cause, them Fox people are bred much too closely). I just ain't showering with a gay guy. (Just for the record, I wouldn't knowingly shower with a republican either).

 

Oh C'mon Tom, If I invited you to a barbeque, you'd show up for sure. We would drink, party and have a blast. Keep the in fighting to the boards, but I bet we all woukld get along in person

 

I have hung out ith quite a few folks here, we all get along, we just have political divides, no biggie
