http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110122/ap_on_en_ot/us_tv_olbermann I'm glad to see this hypocritical sack-of-wind leave. How does that song go again? "Na-na-na-na, goodbye!" View attachment 129 Good riddance and don't let the door hit you on the way out...
Well, this will make the Fox watchers happy. Comcast had everything to do with his exit (they bought out..literally...MSNBC..and that takeover, coincidentally, goes into effect next week). The right has effectively shut down a thorn in their side, albeit temporarily I'm sure. MSNBC will now take a more "center" slant and become more towards the right, since the big whig behind Comcast is a right wing supporter. The right has muted a dissenting voice. CASH and the right. What a shocker. Couple safe predictions. Olbermann will NEVER go to Fox. Never happen. He could go to CNN (and they'd be smart to do it if they plan to get back into the ratings game). We'll see. Say what you like about Keith, but I like somebody who shakes things up and says what he thinks. I'm pretty sure MSNBC has screwed themselves on this deal. Comcast blows. Corporate rich thugs take another chunk of lemming land I hope their stocks options suffer immensely. Can't wait for the other upcoming conservative purchases to unfold via Comcast. Oh well. Fox should be ecstatic. Anybody that says Comcast had nothing to do with it is a liar. Boycott Comcast. They blow.
You probably don't know what you're talking about. Olbermann's show was the highest rated on the network and there are others on there just as liberal as he (Schultz, O'Donnell) so I doubt it was a matter of getting rid of a thorn in their side based on his liberal views. Olbermann is a prima donna and thinks he's God's gift to the pundit world. It was just a personality conflict with the boss and Olbermann didn't want to obey the rules. Plus I think a lot of viewers were turned off by his hypocrisy last November and the network was getting tired of it. I will say that I'll miss his smug, insipid smile and his blathering idotic rantings which made me laugh. But, overall I'm glad he's gone; let's just hope he stays gone.
Probably? Yeah Comcast and it's right wing support had nothing to do with it. He'll be back though. CNN's probably frothing at the mouth about now. O'Donnell and Schultz haven't proven to me yet, that they aren't simply corporate installed lemmings.
Yeah they probably are, but I'm not sure what corporation you're referring to. Whatever nebulous corporation it is, you can probably add Maddow and Matthews to the list, too. Lemmings all, but now with one less idiot voice in their liberal fugue.
I agree on Matthews...I gave up on him awhile ago. Olbermann pissed off people because he couldn't be completely controlled (an unpopular thing in the corporate world). His rants against Fox also pissed off corporate types. The rest of the crew aren't too far "out of line". Schultz has the potential. O'Donnell belongs at Fox.
C'mon folks, get the story straight. GE is at the top of this merger, you know, the company thats part of the O administration......????? Queef Doberman was given a $14 mil buyout and a 2 year non compete, he wil be going nowhere fast. Beck predicted this in November.
Really? They basically hired him for 2 years to not do a show if that is the case. lol I am surprised that anyone at his ego level would take a 2 year no compete clause.
Sounds like MSNBC paid him big money to just go away, hardly what you would expect a network to do to their "star attraction".
That's because you're an Olberhead and believe that the mush that emits from between his lips passes for objective commentary. You'll be OK though since there are still a few mush-heads left on MSNBC who are excreting the type of rancor you enjoy.
