Nancy Pelosi is giving up her gavel

Nancy Pelosi is giving up her giant gavel today to John Boehner. I'm glad to see it happen since she wielded her gavel like an axe. Let's wait to see if she learned anything from last November's election.

 

Why is it that I keep hearing "Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead" in my head?

I think the big gavel was just too heavy for her. So was the position of Speaker.

Do you think he shouldn't show emotion?

 

He absolutely should show emotion. He can cry all he wants. Just like any other pansy.

 

Just like Bill Clinton when he cried...? Or for that matter Hillary Clinton when she cried? I don't think showing emotion is indicative of being a "pansy". In fact, when Bill and Hillary cried it made them seem more human.

 

I think showing emotions in appropriate situations is admirable. Crying during an interview because "he cares about kids so much" is either just an act for the cameras or a sign of an unstable personality. Apparently he cries a lot. Maybe the man needs a vacation rather than a new job. Just sayin'.

 

You know, I sort of felt the same way when I saw Bill Clinton crying when his wife was winning all her crap. But, then I thought that maybe he really did have emotion for her and I thought that was just fine.

Then when I saw Hillary Clinton crying when she was saying, "It's about our country. It's about our kids' future". Well, at first I thought maybe it was just an act, but then I realized that maybe deep down inside her she probably felt that way at the moment and let loose some tears. I see no problem with that.

Do you think that just because John Boehner, Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton cry it could be a sign of an unstable personality? I don't... they're just being human.

He ought to be careful crying on demand like that. Tears could ruin his artificial tan.

I will have to admit that I am a bit troubled about Boehner's propensity to tear up. If it's fake, then he's a turd for doing it...if it's real, he needs to man up, get some help & keep the waterworks behind closed doors.

 

I don't think it's fake. I think he's just emotional when it comes to American ideals. But, I think some people see it as weakness so he should try to quell it.

 

I think tanning oil just gets in his eyes and makes them water real bad.

 

That's possible. They've painted over the graffiti on the bathroom stall walls a few times already, and don't be embarrassed, just reach under the stall and whisper that you're a republican and you were just reaching for the marker you dropped, and don't forget to wipe your boogers on the wall too.
