Just to set the record straight on the Bush clan. I found this paragraph interesting.

There has been a steady internet chatter about the "Bush/Nazi" connection, much of it inaccurate and unfair. Face it. The Bush family fortune and political power was at least in some part due to their ancestor's involvement with the Nazis.

 

Having been lied to directly to our faces by Bill Clinton, I'd believe the word of a dead dog before I'd ever believe Clinton.

 

If you're going to attack Prescott Bush, don't you think you should also attack Joseph P. Kennedy?

 

I wasn't attacking Bush as much as I was setting the record straight. It is what it is. As far as Kennedy goes, if he was also involved with the Nazis and it comes up in a thread, I would have no problem setting the record straight on him as well. That just how I roll baby!

 

Bootlegger Joseph Kennedy, Sr. was a Nazi sympathizer who admired the Nazis. Kennedy was Anti-communist and anti-semitic and looked to Hitler as a "solution to both those problems".

 

Wasn't it made public that Slick Willie used a particular AR State Police Officer to procure his women (even after he made it to the White House)?

 

I never heard that he did that AFTER he went to the White House, only before....

By the mid 1920’s the Volstead Act was being reviewed by his allies in the American Government with a view to repealing it, but Kennedy was making so much money while prohibition was in existence, that he secretly aligned himself with Temperance Movement supporters in an effort to keep prohibition in place.

With a certain degree of control at that point and insider information during the prohibition period, he positioned himself as the sole import agent of several brands of alcohol, purchasing millions of dollars worth of stock. The day prohibition ended in 1933 his company re-sold the stock legally making tens of millions of dollars of profit.

While subversively controlling the distribution of illegal alcohol during prohibition, Kennedy disguised his activities as the legitimate owner of an investment firm, trading in the largely unregulated stock market.

Of course, that doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of his sympathetic views toward the Nazis nor his hatred of the Jews and his wish for Hitler to "find a solution" to them.

And really.. did you have to "source" the Guardian, the left-leaning political rag in the UK? Their own editor says they're left of center. Come on, don't you think they might be biased?

 

I don't feel like beating my head against the wall to another lost lemming right now, most especially, a republican lemming. Not enough room in that bubble either.

Here is the even funnier part; Just about the same time the 13-year old 18th Amendment was about to be repealed, Joe was selling rum illegally while Prescott was cozying up the Nazi Party financially. One guy made a Butt load of money selling illegal alcohol while the other guy made a butt load of money helping Adolph Hitler rise to power. I doubt either of them liked Jews very much. And I bet both men ran around on their wives. I'm guessing much of what both men were in their time would be completely unacceptable today. So what?

We are talking about three generations of Bush/Kennedy history not the rise of the Third Reich. Did what grandpa Bush or grandpa Kennedy do over 70 years ago really define much of what their current descendants are today? I'm not a big fan of either the Kennedy's or the Bush's but it has nothing to do with their grandparents I can assure you. So again, so what!
A Munich-like event could happen every week and without the benefit of hindsight, no one would recognize it until it was too late. No one!

 

Really? It was certainly clear to a few people. Or dont you recall many Jews exiting Germany in the 1930s? And you dont think world leaders knew what was happening? They had no idea what lay ahead? And for the record; nearly every industrialist in America cozied up to Nazi Germany. It meant money. And Facist Italy. The Rockefellers and Duponts of the 20's kissed Mussolini's ass. But they didnt know what they were dealing with right?
