Just so you know Angie. Had the man splashed acid into his wife's eyes, nothing wouldve happen to him. Because thats ok in Iran. Is that ok with you as well?

Maybe we ought to just mind our own business instead of invading countries over oil ventures or personal vendettas. Who gives a s*it what they do in Iran. Oh...that's right...oil.

I know 2 wrongs do not make a right, but if you kill someone, then you should expect your life to be ended as well. Was it really fair that he took someone elses life? I think not!

No he should not be splashing acid into anyone eyes. That is just absurd. If he was mad about the cheating, get even some other way besides splashing acid in the eyes. Kind of childish if you ask me.

I am not saying kill the guy. I am referring to doing the same thing back. So since he splashed acid into the guys eyes, he deserves the same thing done to him.

LOL ok so someone runs another person over should they in turn be run over? and while we are about it what exactly do you think doing something like that does to the person who has to carry out such a sentence? Also once sentence has been cartried out is the offender then allowed to go home as after all justice has in your view been done or do we punish them again by keeping them in prison? Then shall we look at the health care costs of carring for someone who has been blinded by the state! Sorry Angie if you wish to support state sponserd Maiming that is of course your perogative me I am against it.

Not That I want to be paying for someone in prison because no I do not. But I am just saying that they should get what they have coming to them. I do not care if they go to prison. I do not want to be paying for them. I am just trying to be fair. Do onto others as you want done to you. So if he did this, then he should expect it back.

How do you then punish someone for Tax evasion or fraud?

NOt really too sure on this one. I know you really can not do back to them what they did. Good question!

Take away everything they got and throw them in the bucket is my opinion, but then again, we don't really have to pay any taxes if you have researched it before.

Do I agree with it? Not really, but I'm biased for many reasons I won't go into. I will say some (Islamic/Muslim) laws are way more brutal than the U.S.'s for minor crimes; steal something once, chop off a finger - 2nd offense, hand -3rd offense, didn't get the memo? other various parts. Some seam a lot like the old witch trials too. I saw a video on a woman who had been accused of something (can't remember if it was possible adultery. swearing, or uttering the wrong words in public), she was tested by having to put boiling oil into her mouth (or maybe just on the tongue?), after a few moments she stuck out her tongue so all could see it was not burned ...and everyone began to ululate (laughs)... I forget what the punishment for being "guilty" would have been, it may have been cutting the tongue out. My point is ...to me, their laws are rather brutal and primitive ...but I'm sure they are more effective...
