Eye for an eye

I just read an article about a man having acid poured into his eyes after he was convicted of blinding his wife's lover the same way. Do you agree with this sentencing? Or was it right on? This happened in Iran.

Why do you not agree with the sentencing? I think that the man got what he deserved. Why be mad at that man? Maybe he did not know that the lady he was having an affair with was married. He should be mad at his wife first.

 

Too bad some wealthy corporate type didn't acquire the rights to that story. Huge profit not realized on that story.

 

Yes, if it was proven in a court of law by evidence and eye witness testimony (no pun intended) and punishment decided by the jury.

 

Sorry folks you want to execute someone then do it as humanly as possible but do not torture someone. if you want to behave in a barbaric manner then I am sorry for you

 

Yeah! Kill 'em....humanely. It's ok to kill, just do it in a nice way, friendly way. Wouldn't want to hurt 'em. Take their life but do it politically correct. Give em a hug before you drop 'em underground.

 

I am for being as human as possible, but he did it first so apparently he thought it was ok to do to someone else. Did you never get preached to about do to others as you want done to you?

No. Which shouldn't be surprising given my thoughts on the death penalty. In a free society, I do not think it is wise to give the state the power to exact vengeance and wrath in the name of punishment.

Of course, since Iran is no where near what I would consider a free society...that may explain the system of justice they tolerate.

 

So Angie if someone sticks there head in a gas oven then it is ok to emulate them? 2 wrongs do not make a right and Tom you would then prefer to torture people to death I take it! If you must have a death penalty then do it fast
