Gay marriages~ are you really married in God's eyes?

What do you think about this? If you are gay and get married to your lover, are you really married in the eyes of the Lord? I say that yes you are, but I know that others disagree with me. They say marriage is sacred for only a man and a woman. Do you agree with me or do you agree with the others?

I have a gay cousin and a gay sister.....I believe it is inherited, neither of them chose this. But I am glad thay are happy with their partner. As for marriage, I think the government should butt the F out of our private lives.

I have to disagree with you on inheriting being gay. I do not think that this is the case but that is another subject. But I do agree with you that the government should not have a say in who we can marry.

I don't need the government's permission, I don't need any organized religion's permission, and I don't need God's permission to love and marry the person I choose. I only need their permission. It's worked for over thirty years and I think that it would also work for gay couples.

Yes you are so right. As long as you both agree then there is no reason to ask for permission from anyone.

Not sure but I think the Patriot act requires you to ask permission and to install a camera inside all orifices.

I don't think gay marriage is right. But, even with my opinion on this, people should back off. I am a religious person, and that has shaped my opinion on this. If people have found what they are looking for in a same sex partner, good for them. If everything I believe is true about religion and heaven, then let THEM pay the consequences. Treating them differently because of sexual orientation is like treating a black person differently because of their skin color. They are people, part of the human race, not dogs.

You sure you're a right winger?? That's not very atypical right wing thinking.

Then I guess that makes me an untypical right winger doesn't it?

On what terms do you disagree with him? From a religious aspect, or a scientific one?
What you like to believe, or what science has guided you to believe?

    Here is a question.

Is there enough scientific evidence, if any, that homosexuality is an inherited trait?

Not that I'm aware of, although let's say there isn't. How does that justify us forming a solid opinion on the matter?
Which is why I asked Angie if she was forming her opinion off of a belief that she tells herself is truth, or if she is basing her belief of something that can be logically and scientifically proven.

Right or wrong, I say they have a right to it. Who are we to say that marriage is only for a man and a woman. It should be for people who are truly in love with eachother.

Never said you couldn't do whatever. I just don't want to or be forced to.
