Yep all the banks will collapse thousands more out of work, the money in your pocket will be (realy) worthless LOL what a great idea in theory but try to think through the consequences of such actions

Consider the source. When you have nothing to lose, what difference does it make?

Well the source is a rather eccentric ex French soccer star who while brilliant on the field of play I am not sure how much thought he put into it!

So take your money out of the bank and buy silver.
It's already happening folks. I see people with decent money doing this every week at work. They are pulling A LOT of cash out of the bank and buying silver because they fear the dollar becoming akin to a Zimbabwe dollar.

I buy what silver I can afford and it isn't much but I don't put every last cent in to it.

After all. How much silver can you eat?

What will you buy the silver with if the banks collapse and your $$ are worthless? you have to have something with a percieved value to be able to buy LOL So buy Silver now before everyone else tries to jump on the bandwaggon and prices rocket

I was referring to the member who brought us the idea. God knows he isn't capable of an original idea.

It already is/has been worthless for some time now. May as well knock down the house of cards and rebuild.

Well I allllllmost predicted your response. I pegged you for something like "but you don't have any money, remember?" Close enough I guess! Good thing you're not predictable. LOL

Well, let's see. What to invest in. Hmmmmm. Printed paper, born of a bunch imaginary magical numbers of created debt, with no intrinsic value, typed onto a keyboard, where nothing is actually transferred (or even existed in the first place).. a coupon to take to the grocery store (oh wait, a coupon could actually represent some value), or an internationally accepted semi precious metal. Hmmm. The near worthless dollar or intrinsic value?. Tough one.

Sure Tom but if that wothless paper is as you say worthless what are you going to purchase the internationally accepted semi precious metal with? that was my question and still is
At the moment that paper has a percieved value hence my saying buy your silver now cus come the collapse it is simply toilet paper

Whatever the next form of toilet paper turns out to be I guess. Maybe the Euro, the Amero, or something else. Who knows. My point is the whole system is based on smoke and mirrors, corrupt, and is "fuzzy math", as the right likes to say. Once it collapses, intrinsic value will only be with what exists already, and at that point, attaining silver will much more difficult, if not impossible for anybody except the very rich (who will now have to deal with the rejection of the very system that made them rich in the first place) to attain. Regardless, a better and more honest system of rebuilding from the ashes COULD be possible. Time to throw the baby out with the bathwater maybe. Maybe basing value and the new monetary system on what "actually exists", rather than the nonsense we call capitalism (rather corporatism) is the way to go.

Excellent idea if you want to collapse the US and thus the world economic system. That rings of anarchy to me, to the nth degree and even a drunken sailor will think that idea is bozo.

    Good question. Tomc, your answer?

You don't think the US economic system is already on the verge of collapse? I don't know that anything short of full collapse can possibly prevent it. Clearly the corporate masters think it's acceptable, and certainly they ain't gonna change it. Why should they? It works for them. In the meantime, we hear hypocrisy on both sides of the aisle, with the right wanting tax cuts (for people that hardly need it), no matter what it will do to the debt, while at the same time proclaiming they are against spending and adding to the deficit.
The world economic system has already collapsed brother...it just ain't been realized by the populations yet, especially here in the US. That's one reason why the wealthy are grabbin' every penny they can in bailouts, "tax cuts", etc.. Cash/wealth has become the priority above all else. Above humanity, morality, even our own laws.
Where else do you think it's headed seriously?? Up? For the elite few maybe...not for the population at large. Get real.

This is what happens when a conspiracy theorist turns economist. Pathetic!

Smoke and mirrors economy. Don't need to be an expert to figure that one out. Eventually the numbers are no longer sustainable. No economist but I'm pretty good with math (though one clearly doesn't need to be on this one). We went "poof" some time ago. The interest on the interest has already eaten itself, just a shell of what once was (and even the shell has big holes in it and will collapse very soon). You don't see that huh, oh credentialed one?
