They simply want to obstruct so they can blame the results on Obama, blur the lines, and further confuse the idiot public so they can claim it was "all Obama's fault" in 2012. It'll probably work too! The American people aren't too bright. They gotta get that bar lowered so Palin (or the like) will look like a slightly better option, after they present their agenda of nothing.

You do realize that Palin is infinitely smarter than you, don't you?

Yeah, a real novel idea- Blame BO for what happens on his watch? I guess BO flipped that "The buck stops here" sign over when he waltzed into the Oval Office, huh?

Erm, anyone actually want to take a crack at explaining to me why Republicans are opposing START? Or, should I just step away and let you continue to taunt each other like school children?

There was a subject to this thread? Wow Peter. All I know for certain is that you are a schoolyard bully and really didn't make my hockey team because of that.
Wow! I'm name calling! Feel free to edit.

As for YOU mister. How come you don't always pick on me? I feel left out and it's unfair.

I choose Option B...because it doesn't really matter which option is chosen, B is what is going to happen. ;)

Actually I thought I presented the core answer, which is, that a left winger is in the White House, and that means the right does their best to obstruct no matter what, in order to blame him for "whatever" in 2012. By obstructing START, it effectively (as far as the brain dead public is anyway) ensures that the same brain dead public will indeed blame him for anything they might actually be "for". Nobody digs very hard for truth and the right will undoubtedly take advantage of that fact in 2012. Nobody will look too close and the right will be able to plant whatever falsehoods they choose because of it. In essence, they (the right), CAN'T be for START, because Obama could conceivably claim credit for it, and it's probably something THEY wanted to run on as well. They can't claim credit for something that's already "on track", and going smoothly. That's the whole right wing's whole game plan in a nutshell. Obstruct. Blame the results of the obstruction on Obama. Offer a solution, and run on it in 2012, claiming it's all Obama's fault, and they'll fix it. This is their plan with START, as well as everything else. As you point out, they see it as "their" issue, and they have to prevent anything positive happening on it until they're in the White House. It's really as simple as that.
