Steve HELP !!!! Where is my I predict Hillary in 2012 thread?

Help me out here Steve. A while back I posted an " I predict " thread about Hillary in 2012...it is starting to happen.......

I stick to my comment there too. I think he is looking very much like a 1 term-er and that it is still possible that Congress will totally flip too.

It may be the House this time and the Senate in 2012 but I still think it is possible for a totally Republican government by 2012.

And I am tending to think you are right on the Hillary thing too. But I am not sure she would win.

 

Who is going to beat her?

 

Unless this economy turns around a lot, Nixon could beat her from the grave. Without a healthy economy, it is going to be anything but a Dem - at least that is what I am hoping and praying for.

 

I want a name of a Republican who is going to beat her. Just throwing anybody out there ain't gonna do it! Don't make the exact same mistake that the Democrats always make, underestimating your competition.

To name a Repo that could beat her is to early. Pence, Jindal, Pawlenty, etc etc will be testing the waters. Just watch Iowa and who goes there alot........ Personally, I think she will be formidable.

 

Jindal or Pawlenty. But one I tend to like is Gingrich.

 

If Gingrich runs, and I hope he does, the left will attack him for cheating on his wife. But, when Clinton did it, it was " just sex" lol.....ahh, gotta love the left, lol.

 

Hard telling who is going to run between now and then. My guess is Gingrich could beat her. Probably others too. The thing I think is that if she beats out Obama...it won't take all that much to beat her because there will be a huge split in the Dem party and a lot of the lock step voters in 08 for Obama would not vote at all if he wasn't on the ticket.

In other words, after a primary, if Obama won...all the primary voters would vote for him in the general election. If Hillary wins, many primary voters would not vote at all.

 

I dont think that will happen, Stu.
BO has enough advisers and pollsters with their finger in the wind already. If it looks too bleak, his ego will tell him to bow out gracefully rather then lose a primary as an incumbent. Also, the party as a whole would not like to see them shred each other publicly. I do not predict a primary, but rather he calls it quits after one term.

 

I still think a lot of people who voted for him in 2008 will not vote at all in 2012 if Obama is not on the ticket..regardless of it he calls it quits or fights it out and loses. And I am not just talking about minorities but also the youth vote and the other voters who turned out in record numbers. The 'Rock Star' effect is not going to follow on the Hillary. lol

 

After BO health, cap and trade, the bail outs, the stimuli, etc., I cannot see BO bowing out of anything - especially with his ego.

 

Both my 20 something kids voted for him and are pissed because he has not delivered any promises, they wont vote for him again. My 30 something did not vote for him, she is older and smarter ;-)
