I know his benchmark for 8/28 was 100,000 people. Does anybody know if he acheived that?
Also, I heard that Dr. Alveda King, MLK's niece also spoke, pretty cool huh?

I hear between 300,000 and 500,000, but they were mostly white?!?!? I have no idea why that is newsworthy.

I'm sure the numbers game will be played for this event as it is always played for these Fox inspired, self-promotional, white-ins. Who cares how many people really showed up! A lot of old white people came to be part of Beck's day in the sun. How special.

It does strike me though, all the talk of insensitivity regarding building of an Islamic community center/mosque near ground zero, we now see the same people jawing about the sacred ground in NY that happen to be the same people standing in exactly the same spot on the 28th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s I Have A Dream Speech. If they were really so concerned about people being insensitive to other Americans, you'd think they would have had the sensitivity to either have their rally elsewhere or on another date. But I guess given the old white people that showed up, the concern for the feelings of the African American population of this country is irrelevant. Who could have predicted that?

Just curious, but why are you so fascinated there being "old white people"? Until we discover that we are all Americans, there is going to be race problems.

As for your numbers games, I believe there are more than a couple thousand people there and I will bet even more a couple thousand non-white Americans

    Mr Moen
First of all, this is a friendly reply, after all, I like you :)

It is perfectly obvious to me that you are repeating talking points and have not witnesed the event, either in person, or free on the internet. Neither have I , too keep it fair.

Calling it a " white in " is rather , actually, kinda dumb, dont ya think? I have seen pictures of it . Just got home from work, but a quick look at today pics tell me otherwise. Americans of all colors abound, but yes, mostly white.......

What I dont understand, and seriously dont understand, is the problem with certain people have with " Restoring Honor, Faith, Hope and Charity"....Is that not what our country was built on?

I dont get to watch or listen to Beck, I have a job and he is a daytime guy for both his radio and tv shows, but I have read 4 of his books. Last week I suscribed to his " Insider Extreme" but honestly have not had time to investigate.

So far, I like his message. Honor is a bad thing? Charity is bad? Faith is bad?
Why is faith ok for a mosque, but not ok for Christains?

If Beck was a racist, why would Dr Alveda King attend and support this " rally" ?

Why did the mainstream media call Becks rally " predomintly white " but spoke of Sharptons rally as " Americans "? Why was Beck called " Conservative talk show host " while Sharpton was called a " leader?

    Help me out here..............

Why is it that liberals have to inject race into everything?

    LA Times said...

"Set at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial on a sun-drenched afternoon, Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally was heavily religious and not overtly political. Speaker after speaker praised the nation's military, its Founding Fathers and Lincoln."

"The speaker list was diverse, including African Americans, Latinos and Native Americans; Jews and Christians; clergymen, military veterans and sports stars, including Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals. The crowd, however, was overwhelmingly white."

Doesn't sound like it was really a 'White In'. It just sounds like white people were the only ones who wanted to come and hear it. THis Whitey didn;t catch any of it.

So that everyone can see how tolerant they are. They think if they say crap like ''Dumb white guys", or ''Blacks dont get a break.'', that minorities will say, ''Hey, He's one of us. We like him.''.

Get it back on track here folks....

Did Beck get his 100,000 ? Only Rlm has attempted to answer this. Thanks Dick for sticking to topic.

I do know Sharpton vowed to put Beck in his place, so what are the totals?
Did Sharpton outnumber Beck? Did Beck hit his 100,000?

LOL. Black-in. Al Sharpton: The Mouth That Bored. I read that both ''Ins'' had trouble getting MLK first string relatives. Sharpton had to settle for Stephen King.

Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Jimmy Carter and the race-baiters of yesterday who have made a living out of hatred and division, just got marginalized into irrelevancy.

    Beck: 500,000+
    Sharpton: <3,000

I can't wait to see and hear the myopic portrayal from the radical left over this event. News rooms all over America are awaiting the official talking points from Axelrod, Emanuel and Gibbs to be handed down before they strike. Make no mistake, there is a very brutal DNC/MSM psy-ops attack coming over this.

Poor lonely Al…he has become nothing more than an old and bitter race hustler…a grim, shallow, sad and sorry has-been. He has betrayed his “ordination,” his country, and his race…a laughing stock to decent people, and an embarrassment to honorable people of color. He will be quickly forgotten as an “asterisk” in the history of this great country. Good riddance.
