Oh so sometimes its ok for the feds to intercede. Like on the issues you think they should, huh? And slavery was a social issue back in its day. So then what about inter-racial marriage. Was it ok for the feds to block its ban?
David Help me out here and let me here your spin. For the sake of example only, lets say, Texas outlawd appeals of a minor courts decision. A civilian is found guilty of murder. Texas makes a law that the judge must kill him. Wrap him with a body bag and pull the trigger on the .45, twice, to the head You dont think that a Federal court should step in and change a state law that goes againt everything that the Constitution says? The Constitution provides that EVERY American is guaranteed equal protection......and it does not mention your sexual orientation,...why whould SOME be allowed to marry while others cannot? That is not equal bro, that is descrimination....cal me a traitor, I dont care, I call them as I see them Now, this is against every prinicple we " Republicans " have, and the court system designed by our founders will work. Personal opinion has no place in law.......... Dude, courts in this nation have a role. There is local, federal, appeals and supreme....... In my opinion, the courst system is working perfectly.......as it was designed by our founders......Do we like who is appointed? Maybe not, does it work? Yes it does.... chill brother conservative David. Open your horizons.......dont be so " bookmarked " dont be so shallow and " right "........look for the truth, where ever it may lead. The law is the law bro, and our personal morals should not be part of it, that leads to tyranny
Saw a bumper sticker the other day that said: <Paraphrasing here> "Contrary to the Faith-based Popular Opinion, I DON'T Hate Gays" ~God
Jack, I hate to say this but I think the "pouncers" have sucked you in one this one. First of all, let's clear the air here. I do not have a problem with gay marriage...live & let live is what I say. Nowhere in any of my posts have I said otherwise nowhere. What I have said & will continue to believe is that decisions should be made on as local a basis as possible, some at the local level, some at the state level & some at the national level...it depends on who is affected. None of the idiots (not talking about you, Jack) here took the time to read or understand what I posted. A social issue such as gay marriage should be decided on a state by state basis. Nowhere did I say, or imply, that there was no role at all for the federal government. Of the 3 clowns who jumped on this, one assumed my motive was simply an opposition to gay marriage. Wrong! The other two presented extreme examples that really shouldn't have merited a response.
How come you didnt answer this question, David? Was it right for a federal judge to tell certain states that banning inter-racial marriage was unconstitional?
Yeah...answer the question...answer the question...you dodger....you fraud...(trying to sound like Spooky and Sparky...)
There will be no impact on my 'traditional marriage' or anyone else's. 'Gay marriage' is just one of many wedge issues that the 2 main political parties use to control their minions.
Who exactly are you calling a Clown David? before you start with the insults you might want to actualy read what you wrote. but of course that would be too much like the truth for you woudnt it.
If a town or a state wants to pass a measure that is discriminatory, let 'em do it. I don't have to go there Now those are your words David not mine, you wrote them therfore dont try making out that others are stupid for pulling you up on them. it simply shows your own stupidity. If you do not mean something then dont write it, that statement says quite clearly that you have no objection to a town or state passing any law that they might wish regardless of how constitutional or leagal it is.
