I never said you were wrong, I said it was brainless. Rudeness begets rudeness. Nitpicking is rude and you do it all the time. How does pointing out that his post is hypocritical in any way address the subject matter of the discussion?

The answer is "it doesn't". You just want to nitpick.

Just chiming in with that sharp wit of mine! What's the matter? I can't comment on a post?

Cant you answer a question? Where do you see the intonation of suprise in that statement? The meaning of it shows he isnt suprised at all. So again, where do you see suprise? And by the way, your wit needs a bit of honing.

MMMMM. This coming from someone who made the comment. ''What can you expect from someone named Darth Vader?''. Yes I see how your statement adreesed the subject. Wasnt it you that called the oil rig explosion a natural disaster? I said it was man made, only to correct the fact so you wouldnt look like a moron, and so you accuse me of nitpicking. And what does ''rudeness begets rudeness''? have to do with anything. I see that you are rude to everyone but your compatriots. Without provacation. I never said his post was hypocritical. You said that. You are the one calling the guy a hypocrite.

If anyone is a moron, trust me it is you. Okay clown, exactly when did RLM attack you in his post? My comment about Darth Vader was in direct response to a personal attack. I know you are really slow so I will explain it for you. That would be an example of rudeness begets rudeness. He was rude to me, so I was rude to him. Do you understand? If not, perhaps we can get a kindergarten teacher to come here an explain it to you.

Now on to more important things, like you being a damn liar. That's right, LIAR! I never called the oil rig explosion a natural disaster. I compared it to a natural disaster (Katrina). In that thread, you made this same stupid claim that I called it a natural disaster. I explained that the cause of the disaster was irrelevant. Guess what. Nothing has changed, it is still irrelevant. Only now you are lying to about what I said to make an even more ridiculous point than you did in that thread.

And in case you are not aware, every post you make is provoking. You are a typical forum troll who likes to bait people, nothing more. Whenever you do actually try to debate issues instead of nitpicking, you get your ass kicked. Then you simply return to your nitpicking little ways.

Was that rude enough for you?

Yea that was perfectly rude. It must come so naturally for you. Did I call you a moron? Show me where I said that. Not only rude, but vulgar as well. Awesome traits So you ''compared'' the man made disaster to a natural one. Who's the liar now? Didnt you also say in that thread, ''whats the difference?'', or something like that. There is a difference whether you like to believe it or not. Thats like saying Lincoln was shot in the stomach, and then somebody says to you..the head..and you get all baby like and say, ''Whats the difference, he was shot.''. You cant be bothered by crap like that , huh? You said it was a natural disaster no matter how much you want to deny you did. Oh and also that deep thought provoking, ''At least Louisiana has the Saints to get them through.'' Yea, youre deep. How can one debate with such insight? So now go ahead play tit for tat. See if you can top your own tastelessness. By the way, I love the capitalized liar. Ha. You must really mean it.

You really are dense. I mean more dense than the average moron. "What is the difference" applied to how the administration was handling the disaster. The oil spill is to Obama what Katrina was to Bush. Both were disasters that have severely affected Louisiana. And yes one was natural and the other was man made, but both were disasters so WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE how they were caused.

It is not my fault that you are a wimp who doesn't like football. Take a trip to New Orleans and you will find out exactly how much that city loves the Saints. It is a fact, the same as you are a moron, that the Saints will get those people through.

And BTW clown, it is customary on an online forum to use all caps when you want to infer that you are yelling. But you already knew that, didn't you? You nitpicker.

You can twist it anyway you want if thats how you operate. But you didnt say ''Whats the difference'' in regards to the US Gov. and you know it. But ok. And in that thread you said everybody down there loves the Saints. Everybody. You said everybody. I bet there must be three or maybe even just one person who isnt. If thats true,(and we are counting students from Tulane who maybe from out of state, and perhaps Seahawks fans) then saying everybody would be a lie. Oh and you wrote 'but both were disasters'. The oil spill is still on-going; did you really want to use the word were? But ''WHATS THE DIFFERENCE'', you got your insults in and thats what really counts, huh?

Nitpicking is the act of removing nits (the eggs of lice, generally head lice) from the host's hair. As the nits are cemented to individual hairs, they cannot be removed with most lice combs and, before modern chemical methods were invented, the only options were to shave all the host's hair or to pick them free one by one.

    I'm just sayin' :)

He burden of proof is on you. You started this thread now prove your points. I say you cant. You’re the one that looks like the lazyass, yet this forum seems to be the only “job” you have. Maybe you would make it as a phychic since you think you know so much about others.

If ‘well-read” means siting by the pool enjoying Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals” or Algores “An Covenient Lie”…then I confess I’m not. What are you currently reading right now Mr. Elitist? Let me guess your sharpening up on “The Communist Manifesto” (for the sixteenth time) by your hero Karl Marx. Does anyone find it funny the the goofy professor gets upset over someone asking him to prove a point that HE started, but I have called him a socialist, a marxist, a communist on several occasions and he has never disputed those remarks???

Tell me this have you ever produced anything, Moen? Widgets, shelves, cars, services,
etc.? Or do you just sit on your ass all day and try to look smart?

You've heard the old saying that those who can - do. Those who can't – teach at a university.

Why is pointing out your inconsistencies "nitpicking"? I don't quite understand that criticism. It's like making a non-point. It doesn't address the inconsistency, it just attempts to belittle the point without ever being made to defend your own statement. It's not so much of a valid criticism as it is a subtle dodge. If it truely is just nitpicking, you'd think it would be easy to counter with a logical contrary point but it is the logical contrary point that never comes. Whatsup withdat?

More meaningless, nonsensical personal attacks - Typical Right winger! What was wrong with checking out Media Matters as I suggested? What was wrong with going to YouTube and typing in "BECK" and/or "Racism", "Homophobia", or "Misogyny" and watch Beck in his own words? When I point out the sources of my argument against Beck, you refuse to check them out. What would be the point of providing actual links that you wouldn't follow anyway?

I love this statement, "Maybe you would make it as a phychic since you think you know so much about others." since you followed it up with things you think you know about me, none of which are remotely true. I've worked in banking, nonprofit organizations, computer programming, manufacturing, education, sales, and many other areas in my life. It seems that your psychic (note the actual spelling) powers a bit rusty while I have not even attempted to guess at your “profession”.

So now insults and spelling errors aside. Mr. Moen, do you consider yourself or have sympathetic tendencies of one or all of the following....A socialist,a marxist, or a communist? Or you could dodge again!

  17. Moen1305

    Moen1305 Not Republican!

I have no idea what you mean by "sympathetic tendencies". I'm more of a center/Left type of guy. I consider communists, fascists, Marxists, neo-Nazi’s, socialists, religious zealots, born-again Christians, tree hugging hippies, etc., all a bunch of whack jobs. Why don't you go all McCarthy on me and just ask me directly, "Are you now, or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party?" -- No Joe, I am not nor have I ever been. Another psychic failure on your part eh?

Born again Christians aside........Moen you sound like a Republican (tree hugging hippies....thats good stuff).
I like the way you capitalized Christian.

Adjectives derived from proper nouns are always capitalized. Believe me, it wasn't out of respect for the group.

My response was predicated on the assumption that your post was a joke intended to poke fun at both Craig and myself. I played along with my response which was also intended as a joke.

Since your post was actually serious, here is my response. Everybody knows there is an alternative definition to nitpicking than the one you provided. Here it is:

    nit·pick·ing (ntpkng)
    n.
Minute, trivial, unnecessary, and unjustified criticism or faultfinding.

Your post was at best nitpicking and may even qualify as spinning. Uh oh, watch out Moen. Spinning has more than one definition as well. Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with pointing out inconsistencies as long as they are not minute/trivial which would then make the person pointing them out guilty of NITPICKING.

PS. In case Craig wants to nitpick about the same topic twice, all caps in an online forum signifies yelling!
