We all know how much the Right wingers hate it when you bring up George Bush. "George Bush isn't president anymore" they cry. "Don't look backwards, Obama is president now". "Nothing happened in history prior to January 20th, 2009." OK, the last one they just pretend to believe.

So why at every turn do the Righties take the opportunity to declare, "This is Obama's Katrina" or "This Obama's Harriet Miers" or "This is Obama's 9/11" or "This is Obama's Iraq War"???? Every blunder Bush was ever associated with has to be compared to some event over the last year and half of Obama's presidency no matter how silly the connection is. If they are so quick to dismiss any criticism of Bush, why are they so eager to make sure Obama is compared to Bush at every turn?

This may be comedy but listen to the Right wing pundits in their own words.

Republicans hate when you bring up Bush because just like the democrats, they know what a terrible President he was. It becomes hard to criticize the democrats when your guy was that bad. My question is why do the democrats have a problem with their guy being compared to Bush? Considering how bad Bush was, every comparison should make Obama look fantastic.

I have no problem admitting that Bush was not a good President and that he hurt the Republican party. However, knowing what I know now, if you turned back time and asked me to vote again (Bush vs Gore), I will still vote for Bush.

Conversely, I was not all that impressed with Gore but we'll never know and must leave to total speculation what his presidency would have been like. Bush on the other hand.... It would have been hard to out do all the mistakes he made. Even Gore would have had to really work hard to be that bad.

I think that Republicans are so eager to compare Obama to any of the mistakes Bush made simply to throw enough mud around that everyone looks dirty. Its a cynical ploy but not out of character for them.

In all seriousness..what else can the republicans do except throw mud? They got nuthin! No resolutions.
No plans. No decent representitive. No fixes. No nuthin'. Just the same old tired right wing cliches. That's what really p***es me off the most I think. Their last guy was so incredibly horrible, I don't see how in the holy hell any of them can open their mouths with a straight face. Yet they do. Boldly and arrogantly, without conscience. I think Obama was spot on saying "They drove the car into a ditch..wouldn't help us get it out, and now want the keys back". You'd think they'd at least come up with some new idea sometime. Nope! Much like the oil execs blaming anyone other than themselves. Same pompous, self righteous, attitudes. Throw mud indeed. I really do believe that's all they are capable of.
