BO is one of the largest, if not the largest recipient of money from BP and Goldman Sachs...unemployment is up....foreclosures are up...the market is tanking...Gitmo is still open...our troops are still in the Middle East...the Patriot Act has been renewed...legitimate US industries are being controlled by the WH (but you can't call it socialism)...middle class tax cuts are soon to expire...czars are running hte country while cabinet members pose for photo-ops.....countries across Europe that practice BO's vision of a collective socialist systems are beginning to fall like dominoes...

How's the change working for you?

UPPER class Bush tax cuts are about to expire. How's it working? I'd say oodles better than his predecessor. If Georgey was still in there,
the market would have long since tanked, martial law woulda already been declared by now, and Bush would have made several flyovers of the gulf, from his window seat. We'd have invaded 2 or 3 more countries by now, and Iranians would have thrown more shoes at him by now...so..I'd say, compared to that...we're doing pretty good.

Here's the difference in our posts:
Everything I mentioned is TRUE, everything you mentioned is speculation.
Now that I have responded in a calm, sincere manner I would like for you to do the same.

I know what you would like. Believe me...LOL....I know..Calm?...perhaps..Sincere?? Extremely doubtful.

What amazes me about you David, is your complete and utter belief in your own infallibility in the face of evidence to the contrary. You seem to only look for opinions that already agree with your long-held beliefs. I, myself, would never say that everything I say is TRUE. Truth is relative at best. If you don't understand that the absolute truth isn't on your side nor does it even exist, you can't possibly recognize a lie being told to you by someone smiling right at you and deceiving you. You are simply ripe for the picking. I'm sure you have bought into the half truth regarding Obama and BP but you never bothered to consider the whole story. The sound bite was all you needed. Let's look at your truth as it relates to reality and you can decide how truthful your statement is.

Washington (CNN) -- As petroleum giant BP comes under congressional scrutiny as its ruptured oil rig pumps thousands of barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, its political contributions are being scrutinized, too.
The top recipient of BP-related donations during the 2008 presidential election was Barack Obama, who collected $71,000, according to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics.
When questioned about the donations Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs made a point of noting that the money came from employees and not the company itself.
White House spokesman Ben LaBolt added that Obama wasn't tied to big oil companies.

"This claim lacks one thing: credibility," LaBolt said in a statement. President Obama didn't accept a dime from corporate PACs or federal lobbyists during his presidential campaign. He raised $750 million from nearly 4 million Americans. And since he became President, he rolled back tax breaks and giveaways for the oil and gas industry, spearheaded a G20 agreement to phase out fossil fuel subsidies, and made the largest investment in American history in clean energy incentives."

BP employees gave more than $3 million in campaign contributions during the past decade and almost $110,000 in 2010.
Fifty-seven percent of BP's contributions went to Republicans, while 43 percent went to Democrats.
BP America President Lamar McKay has been asked to appear next week to discuss the oil spill before the House Energy and Commerce Committee, whose members received the largest share of BP's campaign contributions over the last two election cycles, the Center for Responsive Politics notes.
"In 2009, individuals and political action committees associated with BP donated $16,000 to members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee," the center found.
The center says five of the top 10 recipients of BP dollars in the House sit on that committee: John Dingell, D-Michigan; Joe Barton, R-Texas; Ralph Hall, R-Texas; Roy Blunt, R-Missouri; and Fred Upton, R-Michigan.

"All have received upward of $13,000 from BP-related individuals and political action committees during the past two decades," according to the Center for Responsive Politics. "Dingell, the second most favored recipient of BP money in the House, has received $31,000."
Congress is demanding answers in its investigation of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, and the BP executives likely to be grilled in the weeks ahead are no strangers to the ways of Washington.
"If BP faces heavy federal scrutiny, it's well-positioned to fight back: The London-based company has consistently spent top dollar to influence legislative and regulatory activity in Washington, D.C.," according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Oh, so the tens of thousands of dollard BO rec'd from BP came from employees? Yeah, that makes a huge difference! So we're supposed to believe WH Press Sec Robert Gibbs & WH spokesman Ben LaBolt why? Wouldn't you consider them a bit biased? Because you believe them to be credible? Isn't this the same bunch who created fictitious jobs in fictitious Congressional districts to prop up BO's stimulus spending?
Anywho....so I posted several items in the OP & the only issue you take is in terms of semantics on where all of BO's (and apparently John Dingell's) BP money came from. Are you listening to yourself?

Campaign contributions are a matter of public record. They wouldn't say it if it was easy to disprove. At least I listed a source that is verifiable by anyone that simply looks through the public records database. Where did your BP claim come from? I noticed that you didn't bother listing any sources. Are we simply dealing with your right wing talking points again?

I'm not disputing you...so it wasn't the "company" that gave him so much money it was the "employees"...I'll accept that. Wonder what those employees positions were within the company, hmmmm.
So, I'll ask again...is the source of BO's BP money the only piece of the OP that you take exception to?

What was your source for the BP info David? I assume that it can be checked as simply as Moen's source can I would also like to check out the "Goldman Sachs" claim as well now as for unemployment is up....foreclosures are up...the market is tanking that is not Socialism that my friend is a prime example of how the Capitalist system works it is called Supply and Demand, the market place at work.
Gitmo remaining open is hardly Socialist either is it? after all it was introduced by a Republican President (You were fast enough to condem his original decision to close it, and now he does what you want you again decry it) and you knew full well that he intended to stay in Afghanistan I can also recall you attacking his decision to pull troops out of Iraq as been Socialist (you cant have it both ways) sure he has bailed a few companies out but I constantly dont see you mentioning when they begin to pay that cash back. Also whats with the Czar stuff again, it's not a new thing is it.
So it is possible that he might have recieved donations from people within a company that might have held management postions (Shock Horror) so what David they are as entitled as you are to donate there own money without your permission.
Check out the funding for yourself

    http://www.fec.gov/index.shtml

And on the Goldman Sachs again the donations came from employees to both parties

As far as your other comments...I really wasn't taking one side or the other, I was merely pointing out instances where he didn't keep his word and instances where he has acted as a hypocrite.

David please tell me the name of one single politician who has never broken a promise, changed there mind, done a U turn whatever you might want to call it. Just one please then you can call him a hypocrite

Sure they all lie but what he did to get elected was beyond campaignsmanship..he represented himself as something he was not & something he had no intentions of being.
Can you name a single politician who went the the extreme BO did to make you believe he was something he is not (or not something he actually is)?

To understand the hypercriticism towards the POTUS that emanates from the Right wing in this country, you have to understand how they regard his presidency first. They view him first and foremost as an illegitimately elected president. He stole the election by registering poor voters that the Right wingers have worked to disenfranchise for, well, like ever. He is also illegitimate in their eyes because he was born overseas. It doesn’t matter to them that the sea was the pacific and the place was Hawaii, he is still foreign born and thus illegitimate to them. Finally, he is a black man with a black wife and black kids. Heaven forbid racist old white people have to tolerate that type of kind of shenanigans. The Right wing ALWAYS tries to de-legitimize Democratic presidents and weaken their presidency by any means possible because they simply believe that the wealthy should be the only ones running this country. No matter how bad of a job they do, only they are the legitimate leaders of this country in their eyes anyway. Once you understand where they are coming from, their hypercriticism is easy to understand, not rational, but easy to understand.

I can't speak for anyone else (obviously you are so in tuned that you can speak for both the left and the right), only myself and you are off base as far as I am concerned.
I don't think he's foreign born, I don't care what race he is and more power to him if he was able to bring more people into the process. My opposition is based on my belief that BO perpetrated a fraud on the electorate & exploited the vulnerable.

In other words, he is an illegitimate president in your eyes? It’s the same song, different melody. The point of my post wasn’t that YOU were racist, or that YOU were white, or that YOU considered him foreign born. The point was that the Right usually finds some trumped up reason to frame a Democrat as illegitimate. The reasons they come up with are just altered to fit the particular time and candidate. At least the Democrats had an argument when they objected to the Supreme Court installing Bush in 2000.

Wow, is that Bush wound still festering after a decade? Time to move on.

My views on BO's presidency are as an American, not a right, lefty or any other label you like to throw around.

So it was just his particular brand of lying...what he lied about. "campaignsmanship". I guess he should have just had himself installed like his predecessor. Far as I can tell...he hasn't illegally invaded a sovereign country that hadn't attacked us for profit or personal vendetta.
He hasn't "fixed" intelligence to justify an invasion....etc...etc...etc...etc....etc.......oye vay...
