Because I don't watch FOX news (or any news channel), I can't really dispute the claims that have been made about them. My question is this, why is it that every person on this forum who is an expert on FOX news is a democrat?
You have a point. I can't dispute Blah, blah, blah as an argument of yours. Yes "WE ALL KNOW" lots of things don't we? Why are you bothering to defend FOX. What is your stake in their obvious bad reputation anyway? Why protect them as you do?
Because we follow the organizations (bi-partisan for the most part) that watch media groups like Fox and they seem to be shocked day after day by what is presented. Knowing the power the media has, I find that it makes sense to keep an eye on those abusing the air waves for purely partisan reasons while claiming to be "fair and balanced".
Show me where I have defended FOX. I will challenege you when you make hypocritical statements but I don't recall ever defending FOX.
So let me see if I have this right, you don't watch FOX but you will rely on what a biased 3rd party claims FOX is reporting? Hmmmm.
Does one need to actually say, ''I defend Fox!'? To attack someone who ridicules Fox News surely shows you have an interest in its protection. On the other hand, I cant believe you guys are still smacking each other around .
You can argue with me Sparky. Just throw out one of your brilliant distortions of reality through the distorted view of a liquid filled glass of mind altering poision and I'd be glad to respond.
Hitler was absolutely correct. The vast majority of the population are not thinkers. They are child citizens without the wherewithal to actually figure out that they are being exploited. Germans were the top of the intellectual charts in their day and yet enough of their population bought into the Nazi propaganda to destroy Europe and beyond. It wasn't the intellectuals of Germany that gave rise to the Nazis, it was a populist movement and populist movements always begin with the common folk. Common folk like yourself spend time pissing in the wind trying to understand the bigger picture but cling to simple ideals in the end because through individual circumstances or lack of any God-given capacities, it is your lot in life. I don't actively harbor any ill will towards your cast but at the same time I recognize your potential for rampant destruction and chaos when the right word falls on the wrong ears. I view your kind with caution not animosity at least until the time merits such an approach. I suspect that these words anger and frustrate you and harden your resolve. I think you should know that I spend a considerable time and effort to dumb-down the conversation when addressing you and in return find little in the way of rewarding responses on your part. Mostly I just ignore you. Inevitably you erroneously interpret this as an inability on my part to defend my posts but in reality, it is more a lack of interest in your half thought out opinions. You know precious little about the world you live in and are therefore subject to the winds of misfortune and consequence. I'd be frustrated too if I had to live like that.
I got it! Davey (and perhaps Lehigh) are disinformation specialists?! The kronies throw out something, then say they didn't say it., and then after the fact, depending on what actually occurs out of multiple possibilities, the disinfo experts can jump on any angle and point to the fact that it was "out there" without claiming responsibility for the original comment if it goes bad, or to claim they were behind the "good" side an incident should it be positive. Disinformation specialists! Both of you try and "steer" the topic in the direction you want it to go, and then ridicule the responses when they go in the designated direction. Very good boys! You should be proud of doing your jobs very well. Couple things though. Is Davey the far right rep or is it really Lehigh? Which one of you is in charge of what disinformation gets distributed? (I would guess Lehigh). Who's on first?
Like I asked, show me where I have ever defended FOX. In the posts you quoted I didn't defend FOX, I simply asked you to clarify your obviously contradictory statements. I'll ask you again, maybe you'll answer this time rather than shift the discussion to my supposed defense of FOX: moen, How can you dismiss FOX as mere entertainment in one post while trying to hold them to your standard of what a news chennel should be in another post? Makes you sound hypocritical, doesn't it?
My, don't we have a high opinion of ourself? What you believe is intelligent, high-minded or enlightened commentary many of us simply see it as pompous, psuedo-intellectual, self-indulgent blather. What you fail to accept is that you are not surrounded by naive and impressionable young college students who dare not disagree with you. Unlike you, many of us live in the real world as opposed to the protection of the vacuum in which you reside. I view any opinion you hold of me in the same reagrd as I view any opinion tomc has of me...simply the fact that you disagree is all the validation I need. The fact that you are selectively "uninterested" in supporting, defending or expanding your posts speaks way more about you than it does me. If it's any consolation, your words do not anger me, in fact I find them humorous...as I look back on them during the day I have reason to chuckle (and that's not a case of laughing with you, it's laughing at you).
You have that funny notion of higher education that always comes from lack of exposure to such institutions. Why do you feel the need to use words like "we", "us", and "everyone"? Are your views so weak that you have to pull in imagined support for them by including others that don’t exist? It says a lot about your own personal insecurities. Try speaking for yourself for a change. I also find it interesting that you validate your views by stating, "simply the fact that you disagree is all the validation I need". It’s exactly like you have no opinions of your own until you find someone else to be against. It does explain a lot about your adversarial approach to all topics. I’m glad that you find humor in these posts. I certainly have trouble taking you seriously so we are good.
By my lack of exposure to higher education, are you referring to the 4 years I spent at a public institution earning my undergrad degree or the time I spent at a private university earning my MBA? Or perhaps the countless hours I spent involved in alumni, PR or fundraising functions? I can talk the talk because I've walked the walk. Heck, my next door neighbor is a department chair at one of our local universities...we've spent many, many hours discussing issues. And the "us" "we" references? There is more discussion among members than is actually posted on the forum. We, meaning fellow members, have had a few good laughs at your expense. What else? Speaking for myself? You & your parrot (or are you the parrot & he's the "brains"?) go right to the FOX News this..., talking points that... argument every time someone expresses an opinion contrary to yours- heaven forbid one doesn't take your opinions as gospel, after all you do work at a college.
If these fictitious members you speak of actually exist, tell them to join the conversation or have they appointed you their official mouthpiece? Pretty lame attempt at justifying your inability to speak for yourself. Oh did I tell you, there are 4,556, 442 other members out there laughing at you and everything you write? You believe me don't you? I'm sure that you do.
The members I speak to outside of this forum are free to post as they wish. But what's the matter, is hearing that others share my opinion & find your ramblings to be self-important and self- serving drivel a blow to your ego? Go bully some co-ed or hold some classroom hostage while you deliver some meaningless dissertation...that should pump you back up. I'll bet you're one of those people that insists upon being addressed as "Dr" aren't you?
