I'll answer that very simply Sparky. 100%. If I am required to be a certain place at certain times, and I can't do whatever I want to do at my own discretion, at any time, because an employer is requiring my presence at said certain place at said certain times, I am therefore "working" 100% of the time that I am required, and therefore not able, to do my own thing at my leisure. Conversely....when I am released from the work program, I am then on my own time, and since I am no longer being paid, do not need to be available to anyone except me. That good enough for you there Sparky or did I not go in the direction you were trying to steer me into?
Mask my utter contempt for the corporate style of exploiting individuals, and then legally calling themselves individuals? Absolutely I can. I keep my mouth shut and do my job. I don't discuss politics. Simple. When in Rome, do as the Romans. It's that or starve...not like I have a big choice. If any of the stuff "happens" to have a net effect of being "good" for me...it is only an unintended by product. I can assure you that there isn't anything done that begins with the welfare of the employee, or because of the corporate concern FOR the employee. Quite the opposite. I've been over this once or twice.
Is that your idea of an honest answer? Your only qualification for working is actually being there. A job involves showing up and then performing tasks assigned to you for an agreed amount of monetary compensation. What % of your time at work do you estimate your are performing said tasks? Are circus professionals allowed to answer follow up questions or do they just play dodge-ball and and tell the interested party to have another drink?
You don't listen very well, do you? You have a choice, you hold the cards- IF YOU AREN'T SATISFIED...LEAVE!! Find another job! The only obstacle you could possibly face, in light of all these new jobs BO has supposedly created, would be if you have rendered yourself unemployable based on attitude & past performance. I can't imagine why companies wouldn't be lining up to hire an employee like you? I know, Bush, the Republicans, big business and some space aliens have started a conspiracy, yeah that's it.
Work somewhere other than Walmart..ever consider that? I'm sure there's a Costco, Target, etc that you might be qualified to work for.
No need to apologize, I just want you to accept the fact that where you work and the decisions you make are YOUR CHOICE. You can't live your life by blaming everyone else for the course you have chosen to take...that journey is what has gotten you to where you are today. It wasn't Bush, it wasn't big business, it wasn't the elite on the left or the right- it was you. The good news is that you are relatively young so you still have time to do something with your life. You can still change your family tree for the better! I know you have virtually given up but at least try to do something, if not for yourself do it for your family.
uhhh, no....not with your attitude & work ethic. I don't know what Walmarts standards & expectations are but I'm sure your superiors know exactly what you are.
Tom, You are way too young to have that illness. I called the hospital and they agreed to operate immediately. Please be advised that your Oprectomy operation is scheduled for 5/11/10, at 10AM The purpose of this extremely delicate operation is to sever the cord that connects your eyes to your rectum and hopefully get rid of your ****ty outlook on life.
Damn...and I thought I was a shoe in for the recent midnight to 6am part time greeters opening. You sure do know how to bum a feller out.
Awww man. I can't do 10am on the 11th. Got a "go team", anti union rally then. Maybe I can reschedule though. Is that similar to your celebralotomy?
Anti-union? When you tell a lie it has to be believable Tom. If you said union organization rally, we would have believed you in a heartbeat.
' I'm sorry. You're right. I was just trying on the corporate, suck the world dry hat on for size. It doesn't fit. You got me.
