....and you, of course, will try anything & everything to find the bad in her. You have simply bought into the SNL caricature-type image as painted by the left wingers. You are no different than the people on the other side that you chastise for taking marching orders & reciting talking points. Somewhere in Liberalland there is a puppet master pulling your strings.
I know that it is impossible for you to ever concede a point but prefer to change your attack rather that face your critics. I base my criticism of Palin on her own words, her actions, her political positions and then laugh at the SNL caricatures of her. I never mix the two venues but at the same time her caricatures often mirror her real-world behavior. Happy citizen of Liberaland.
LOL oh David that realy made me laugh, I suppose that you on the other hand treat everything President Obama does or says with true impartiality
She wasn't supposed to be "using" her power for anything that didn't pertain to her duties as Governor. But she did...and then she quit. Good thing she never made it to the White House. She'd quit.
I guess she bought into the caricature too. Didn't she appear on SNL? I guess it's possible too that she was just cashing in on the moment. I guess that's why she quit when she saw her fame staring back at her in the mirror.
I believe your true resentment of her lies in the statement that I underlined above. Her record as a governor is impeccable...she ran a state that every other governor in the country envied, her popularity was through the roof. Contrast this to BO who was a part-time senator, for a brief period, at best with his only real claim to fame was his propensity to vote "present" and the rare occasion he actually even showed up to conduct Senate business. Palin came from humble beginnings- blue collar, school teacher parents and made herself into a successful leader. BO, on the other hand, accomplished what? Did he ever make an executive decison? Create a job? Make a payroll? Ayers introduced him to politics & he caught Ted Kennedy's eye when he made that speech at the dem convention. Big deal. BO quit the Senate to campaign, write books & make speeches..how is that so much different than what Palin has done? You call my comments "rationalization"? Your defense of BO's actions is no different. He just temporarily abandoned his elected position and hedged his bet just in case he didn't become prez.
To be perfectly blunt...I think that she is an idiot's idiot. Only the Right wing could see a multiple college dropout and beauty queen contestant as qualified to be president. Most Republicans don't even think she is qualified and yet you worship her every wink. Obama could not have come from more humble beginnings. Yet you choose to say a white woman raised in a culture that worships beautiful white women had it tough. Try growing up in a broken home as a mixed race child and tell me about how rough it can be. You see what you want to see in either Palin’s or Obama’s case. Your bias is crystal clear to the rest of us; it’s just a shame that you are oblivious to it.
Humble beginnings for BO? Raised on the island paradise of Hawaii by a wealthy, supportive family? Educated in the most elite prep school on the island? Sent off to the states to study at Ivy League schools? You call that humble beginnings? You sound like Palin is the only beautiful, white women in America. If that is what qualifies one for success why isn't the entire country lead by beautiful white women? Maybe what you classify as an inherent advantage tends to work against her as well? You automatically assume she isn't qualified because of this so-called "advantage", right?
Well, let's see.....the trooper who beat the child was an employee of the state and she was the governor of the state, charged with mananging the affairs of the state, right? It really isn't a stretch therefore to say her involvement in the matter was probably justified, right? Criminal misconduct of a state employee? The boss of said employee getting involved? Heck, she would probably be derelict in her duties if she hadn't gotten involved. C'mon, you have to put a little thought into these silly little comments you make. tomc, you're so predicatble, let me guess your response....you can't disagree with my post so you'll ignore that & comment on her resigning the office, right?
I told you Sparky..I disagree with everything you say and think. Chain of command...subordinates...etc...mean nothing to you or Miss Eskimo I take it. The female version of George Bush is a fraud...If I ever hear of a child being abused though I'll be sure and go straight to the Governor of my state first and foremost. You love Sarah Palin. You love the republican party. You love Fox propaganda. You despise the left and you hate Barack OBama. Got it Sparky.
I think you miss the point (what else is new, huh?) If the trooper is tasked to uphold the law & he is accused of breaking it wouldn't it kind of make sense that the governor of that state would at some point become involved? Why is that such a stretch? Heck, BO involved himself in a local matter when that cop in Boston was accused of overstepping his authority...even to the point of calling the poor cop names before the incident had even been investigated...remember that one? At least Palin involved herself in a state matter & called for the investigation. What are you thinking?
OK David what names did he call the poor Cop? lets see if you can answer this one honestly. Now just to help you along here is the actual vidio http://wbztv.com/video/?id=79238@wbz.dayport.com So now what names???
Has it really come to this? Really? You're now going to claim that BO didn't really mean the police were stupid by saying they "acted stupidly"? And by "police" he wasn't specifically speaking about the officer involved? Now that's a stretch.
David You stated That President Obama had called the Poor Cop names!! Now I never said that you did and once again I prove you wrong, so what do you do you try to attack (well more of a pathetic squak to be honest) Now why dont you actualy try honesty for once (you might find it works better than lying) President Obama DID NOT CALL THE OFFICER NAMES he said that the Dept might have acted Stupidly and no it is not a stretch as I never claim to know what someone is thinking unlike you who do it constantly. Also lets say he did accuse them of acting stupidly, that David is not name calling but a assesment of there performance and as the President he is entitled to do that (Again your argument concerning Gov Palin and the state Trooper) as that is what he is paid for.
