I challenege you identify a post I have made here that fits your accusations.

You don't like hearing terms such as socialism, government takeover, etc used because they expose exactly what is happening. The government is taking over healthcare, admit it....there are 2700 pages of legislation & 16,000 new bureacratic positions to prove it. Individuals & businesses are having mandates placed upon them- that's govn't takeover in my book.
You've got what you want, now just be honest & admit what it is?
Also, be honest with how it as accomplished & the reason behind it. BO had a debt to repay & an ego to satisfy, that's the impetus behind it. No reasonable person could believe that the biggest financial boondoggle in American history would be necessary to address the insurance needs of a small minority. It was accomplished by BO cutting hundreds of special deals with the fols in DC who were tasked to speak for us...obviously that didn't happen.
Sour grapes? Maybe, but if it is it is only because of the way the issues were handled & the lies coming from BO's mouth. I take it personal when BO resorts to these actions. This wasn't something he did for the people, this is something he did to the people.

You know, it's quite humorous when tomc & moen accuse others of merely reciting talking points. Can't someone be capable of forming their own opinion based on their own life experiences and research? Is the concept of free thought so foreign to you guys that you feel it is impossible?
moen, now I understand you have a vested interest in protecting your little world in the hallowed halls of higher education but wasn't it you who was outed for parrotting verbatim words coming out of Pelosi's mouth? Can you say "hypocrite"? And tomc? Well he just doesn't know any better but he's a hypocrite nonetheless, quoting Michael Moore & spewing the hatred of class envy/warfare that the "trickle uppers" advocate.

Challenge accepted. You're agreeing with all the nonsense in your very first paragraph. Then you continued to spew additional hyperbole as I pointed out you and your ilk are so prone to doing. You make this too easy. The extreme language your side is so fond of was also used when Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid were passed and for some reason the country is still here and all those predictions turned out to be nothing more than nonsense.

You seem convinced that our president is lying to you. Fine, believe what you want. No politician in this day and age is going to be 100% honest about any of their positions because they are attacked so viciously by their opponents in this divided society. You seem to be all over anything that our president says that is the slightest bit exaggerated or stated in the best possible light but you completely give a pass to the Republicans that have overstated, misconstrued, misrepresented, lied, and repeated those lies long after they were debunked. You just come off sounding like a partisan shill rather than a rational objective individual making you a one-sided political hack.

You seem to have ignored all but the last sentence of my post. Are the comments I made so accurate that you cannot refute them? Certainly you can read Pep's posts and agree or disagree with them. Your silence is going to be taken for acceptance of his words whether you like it or not. You may not be as vitriolic as he is but neither do you disagree with what he is saying. There are two ways to agree with someone. You can either verbally respond in the positive or you can agree with your silence. Like they say, evil only wins when lies are not challenged. You clean up your side and I’ll clean up my side. You have a lot of work ahead of you.

    Yeah! Let's do that...

    FROM CNN's Jack Cafferty:

At the NCAA tournament, the basketball team that loses shakes hands with the team that wins. It's called sportsmanship.

You see the same thing at NFL games, the World Series and boxing matches.

But where you don't see it much these days is in Washington, DC. We have become so bitterly divided that people on the losing side of a political debate - in the case of health care reform, Republicans and their supporters - have taken to hurling insults, using names like Baby Killer and using the most vile racial epithets to refer to African-American members of the United States Congress, as well as our President.

These recent examples follow the beginning of this descent into schoolyard behavior when during the President's State of the Union address - a Republican congressman yelled out: "You lie!"

That followed talk of death panels and the government killing your grandmother.

This kind of behavior by our leaders sends a subliminal message that this kind of behavior is acceptable, and eventually you get to death threats and perhaps worse.

What exactly are we becoming here? Do members of Congress start punching each other and throwing furniture the way they do in some legislative bodies elsewhere in the world?

In fighting health care reform at every step of the way, the Republicans may have made the political miscalculation of the century. When Republican Scott Brown won in Massachusetts, the GOP figured it had the health care debate in the bag and they didn't even have to be nice about it anymore.

But they lost, and now the residue of the bile they spewed during the debate has left a nasty taste in everyone's mouth.

Here’s my question to you: Are Republicans sore losers?

Hey Moen...your (socialist's) bill is going to pay for Viagara for sex offenders...nice, really NICE!

(AP)Democrats killed an amendment by Republican Sen. Tom Coburn to prevent the newly created insurance exchanges from using federal money to cover Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs for rapists, pedophiles and other sex offenders.

    The amendment failed 57-42

Guess the socialist democrats don't want to upset their base!

You need to get out behind that college desk and work in the real world for a while...you know, the private sector where we expect RESULTS

ALBANY, N.Y. - Scores of convicted rapists and other high-risk sex offenders in New York have been getting Viagra paid by Medicaid for the last five years, the state’s comptroller said Sunday.

Congratulations Midas! At least you'll you save some money as a result of this legislation... Or were you just hitting on me?

Can you really, really, really be this dumb? You and I both know that Colburn just inserted this amendment into the bill yesterday so that the Democrats would have to vote it down in order to pass the health care bill. Now they can walk around saying that Democrats are for paying for viagra for sex offenders not that it was ever in the bill of course.

You have to be the biggest (Uncalled for Moen, Please dont do it again)that I have ever met. This is the type of logic Republicans live for. It works on your uneducated relatives but the rest of us simply shake our heads and roll our eyes at nonsense like this. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

I think what Colburn did was is brilliant. He "made" democrats vote for Viagara for sex offenders. Can't wait for them to explain their actions.

BTW Meow...you (Same goes for you Midas) ...how much MORE of our tax dollars to you want? 50-60-70-80-90%...or do you simply want it all at 100%

Stop being a pussy and hiding behind your desk and depending on the private sector to pay for your ass.

The top 50% of all tax payers already pay over 98% of all taxes collected (Souce: IRS)...so stop being a pussy (liberal) and tell us all how much MORE money you want to pay for all of your sociialist entitlement programs??

Here is what is making the wealthy in this country whine so much:

The tax centerpiece of President Obama's $950 billion health care plan are (1) increasing the Medicare tax by 0.9% for those with incomes over $200,000 (single) and $250,000 (joint), and (2) extending the 2.9% Medicare tax on wages to investment income (interest, dividends, capital gains, etc.) on those "wealthy" taxpayers.

This certainly doesn't involve a heck of a lot of us on this forum nor in this country. These people are feaking out about less than a 1% tax increase on wages to investment income. My question is: How do they even notice the difference between their before and after income with less than a 1% decrease? They are calling this a 30% increase in taxes which of course it is but 30% of nothing. With all the money that was handed back to these people under Bush/Cheney not to mention Reagan, I think it is time to start taxing their arses a bit more than less than 1%. Thank you Barack Obama for recognizing the inequity created by greedy Republicans. I may actually get to that hero worshipping I am always being accused of by the Right wingers. :)

Show us ONE time where this country taxed themselves into prosperity, delivered better entitlement services, saved the taxpayer money, and been anything close to their budget.

    Idiot!

Way to misrepresent. Is it a less than 1% tax increase on the rich, or are they taxed less than 1%? Those are ENTIRELY different ideas and numbers. (Even if neither is correct.)

You shouldn't be quite so quick to call Midas idiotic. Specks and logs come to mind.
