He was busy bombing the hell out of the taliban in Afghanistan.
The Obama Adm. was told about this type of attack in November yet he ignored it but then claimed there was no "smoking gun".but what can you expect from a prez that cant even acknowledge we are at war.

Strange that here is a extract from a speach he made have a look at the date

“It is time to turn the page. It is time to write a new chapter in our response to 9/11. . . .
When I am president, we will wage the war that has to be won, with a comprehensive
strategy with five elements: getting out of Iraq and on to the right battlefield in
Afghanistan and Pakistan; developing the capabilities and partnerships we need to take
out the terrorists and the world’s most deadly weapons; engaging the world to dry up
support for terror and extremism; restoring our values; and securing a more resilient
    homeland.”
    [Speech in Washington, DC, 08/01/07]

The war in Afghanistan is "fundamental to the defense of our people," President Obama said Monday, addressing the Veterans of Foreign Wars conference in Phoenix, Ariz. -- but the fight will not be easy.

To address these important issues, it's important to recall why America and our allies were compelled to fight a war in Afghanistan in the first place. We did not ask for this fight. On September 11, 2001, 19 men hijacked four airplanes and used them to murder nearly 3,000 people. They struck at our military and economic nerve centers. They took the lives of innocent men, women, and children without regard to their faith or race or station. Were it not for the heroic actions of passengers onboard one of those flights, they could have also struck at one of the great symbols of our democracy in Washington, and killed many more. Dec 2nd 09 West Point

As you can plainly see he calls it a war!! care to deny what is in print for any one to see?

What I thought it was the American armed forces that were doing the bombing not President Bush personaly, but if you say he was then the same must hold true for President Obama must it not (Your logic not mine)

I guess you mean before darth and dunce pulled out (prematurely...yuk,yuk) sending everyone to Iraq to secure their oil fields and get started on building those giant PERMANENT bases while simultaneously allowing the Taliban to dig in deeper in Afghanistan. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED I'd say.

That was called "pandering". I'm sure that once he used those words, his radical left base pitched a fit & he went back to reciting the PC words David Axelrod, Ted Kennedy and George Soros put into the teleprompter.

Your the one defending BO so I thnk your the one that has "bought in" to the lies. When he was using those words he was in campaign mode you know to get elected. But I'm sure Rombo set him straight on the talking points.

So I am defending him!! what I am defending is the Truth, you guy's say he has never used the word War or Terrorist and proclaim it quite loudly. Now I have given evidence that he has on a number of occasions used both term.
How do you respond by admiting ok we were wrong he has used the terms NO what I get is Ah well He did not realy say it, It was Campaigning so Dont count, It's PANDERING!! Anything EXCEPT YES HE USED THE WORDS :D
Whats wrong with you are that you can not even admit that you were wrong??? Do you detest the man so much that you have to try and distort the truth to get your point over?
I have said from day one that I woudnt vote for him if I could have but what I do believe in is Honesty

Obama doesnt have the truth in him.example:Full transparentcy in my administration...we will debate the health care bill on c-span for everyone to see. Truth is the libs are meeting behind closed doors on Christmas eve to their eyes only to write this massive trillion dollar bill.
Obama:no more earmarks.....the bills are loaded with earmarks.
I agree with honesty but this president doesnt have it in him.

    Moen1305 Not Republican!

    Steve,

In this country we have a name for it. It’s called Republican Hypocrisy.

This "attempted attack" is a bigger outrage to them than 9/11 which, in their opinion, was Clinton's fault. Republican hypocrisy has no shame. They like to talk about individual personal responsibility and can't even begin to hold their own leaders responsible for what they do while in office but never fail to blame Democrats for anything and everything. That is the definition of Republican hypocrisy.

How come for instance did they not freak out when Richard Reed was tried as a criminal instead of a as a military combatant but now they are outraged that the underwear bomber will get the same type of legal trial? The difference, it was Bush not Obama in office.

You just have to get used to the hypocrisy of Republicans when you live in this country.

    Moen1305 Not Republican!

    Steve,

This is a lesson in Republican talking points which have no basis in reality but make good sound bites on Limbaugh and Beck and the rest of the Fox News Network or as we know it, the False News Network.

Whenever a Democrat is in office and doing what their supporters elected them to do, it's pandering. When a Republican is elected and handing out trillions to corporations whose lobbyist financed their campaigns, they aren’t pandering, they are creating jobs. They have two different sets of vocabulary depending on who is in office.

You can't get honesty from people who aren't even honest with themselves.
