My error. Didn't mean to generalize when it comes to characterizing the non 3 percenters.

I think Chris Dodd has this picture hanging up in his office, right next to a similar picture featuring Countrywide.

Everyone should watch the new movie, "The Fall of the Republic" on you tube. These presidents are iconic media hores. The minds of those influencing the president is what matters. Zbignea Bryzinski, David Rockefeller, Henry Kissenger, and all those who sit on the CFR, Trilateral Commision and the Bilderberg group. These people run the US and the world. Considering how easy it is to fool the American people, it's hard to say how intelligent he is. He just smiles and says the same lies over and over til the sheeples believe. Just watched a video on Fox showing how about 20 times or so Obama said that Congress would do all these Healthcare debates live on CSPAN/CNN so all the world could see. As you all know nothing of the sort has occurred. Nothing but backdoor bribes and secret unethical deals. The question is just how dumb are the people to follow this fool right off the cliff he is intentionally leading so. Remember he said he was going to "Fundamentally Change America"

    Tom,

I have never asked you this. Of which labor union are you a member?

Not a labor union member. Never have been. I'd like to be though. I'm suspicious of your question too.

I think Karl Marx is dead. And doesnt everyone live according to thier needs? That is to say, if you think you need to earn more, go ahead and earn more. If you dont, then dont. But if you are jealous of the next door nieghbor because he makes 100,000 and you only make 99,000 then thats being greedy. Is there really a place for that anywhere?

    No, that's envy, not greed.

OK, Craig read carefully: If you applied yourself by studying hard through 8 years of medical school work that side job, took out $350K in student loans and make lets say $300K/yr.
Or you could chose to party through high school flunk out, get arrested for Dui, theft and now are upset because that new manufactoring plant wont hire you so you have to settle for that crumb job that pays $25K/yr.
    Either way its your choice.

The Marxist way: From eachThe government emploees everyone 0% unemployement. The government decides that as a Doctor it can only pay you $60K/yr because of your ability.
To eachThe flunkie cant make it on his $25K/yr. he has 4 kids to raise and a ex-wife to support. He cant even pay for health care. So the government decides he needs to be paid $40K/yr to make ends meet.

So you can see how many of the downtroden will be supported by the achiever. This is the marxist way.

And now we are staring straight into the face of marxism in our own oval office. All the signs are there.

That sounds pretty good. Might upset the corporate applecart.

The problem with that scenario...like a lot of things that people want for free in this country (and I am sure others)...is that it is not sustainable. People won't spend 350K, and years of their life in school becoming a doctor/lawyer, etc so someone else can make 40K while they make 60K.

Call it greed. Call it motivation. Call it working hard to get ahead. Call it the evil corporate mindset. It is called reality. And that is why communist countries have overpowering governments. You have to force people to do that in the long run. Take away their liberty...their ability to choose what they can do. Control them.

As a kid growing up, I asked my Dad (who never made more than $35K per year) if we were rich. He answered, "No...there will always be someone who makes a $1 more than I do and I will always make a $1 more than somebody else too!"

He also told me that if I wanted to make more money than somebody else, there is nothing stopping me.

I am just glad he didn't raise me to wait for the government to take care of me...which is a crying shame for those that look to the goverment as a GIANT breast to suck on...as long as they don't have to pay for it.

Good response Stu. Few points. The world is what it is. One can choose to become better than the corporate crime around them, and engage in a more honest living, or jump in and take everything they can get. I can tell you that if I were excessivly rich (excessively meaning that after I provide for my family's needs, the millions that are left over from raping and pilfering), I'd give it to the homeless, cause, despite the popular to corporate republican beliefs, many homeless don't choose thei circumstances. Many are like the homeless veterans that were good enough to kill and rick their lives for us, but aren't worthy of a decent home in lieu of imported yachts and cigars, or bonuses CEO's get for slitting someone elses throat, or other excesses of wealth. That's sick. Excess breeds greed, which breeds evil. To me, corporations are evil. Somehow I don't think Jesus will look very kindly on that type of humanity. Blood, Sweat and Tears (the group..not the corporate victims) had a song that had a line in it that was something like "Help yourself to whatever you need, but don't take too much". Coporatists take way to much. The very wealthy take too much (and that's one of the primary reasons most of them DON'T believe in God because GREED and God are incompatible..therefore the easy choice is to take for yourself and screw the other guy). That's corporate America. That's why we're despised more and more around the world. That's why our society is so screwed up today. GREED. It may be the reality but it ain't the "right thing to do", hence God intervening soon to press reset because ain't no way the greedsters will ever change or give up their self serving methods of rape.

I am certainly not excessively rich. I can;t even see un-excessively rich from where I am at. lol I could be richer but chose a different path. But, I am not impoverished. I try to help people when I can...not all help has to be monetary so one can do a lot even if you don't have a lot. There is actually a lot of that kind of help here and that is part of the reason I chose the path I did.

It does not bother me that there are people who make more money than I. It really doesn't. Maybe if I was in a big city surrounded by ultra-rich people, it would. I don't know as I have been lucky to be able to choose not to live that life and all it entails.

There is a concept I try to go by that I think a lot of people in this country don't believe in. That includes high income people and middle income and, yes, even many lower income people. I call it the Good Enough concept. I don't have to have the best cars, the best house or the best things or the best food or whatever as long as what I have is good enough.

Obviously, being homeless or malnourished, etc is not good enough. But, much of the things that people base their lives on and what they complain about not having just shouldn't be all that important to a happy life. But, we have all been brainwashed to think it is.

What you described isnt someone who is downtroddened. And dont tell me there arent people out there with college degrees who cannot get a well paying job. But I am sure you are right that out of 400 million people in the U.S. 200 million are irresponsible drunk driving flunkies. But hey they cant be all bad; they have four kids. At least they didnt abort any. And I'm not suprised that you would equate being a doctor to making lots of monry. That may be why you'd get into medicine. I thought it would be for healing the the sick. Which is supposed to be rewarding in of itself. Thanks for correcting me.

Maybe if enough of us would, like you, realize its because of brainwashing, we can correct the problem. But there will always those who want more than they need.

Can you say "hypothectical scenario" Craig?

To make it more to your understanding instead of doctor lets say rocket scientist or a sanitation engineer. Instead of downtrodden lets say lesser achiever.
Oh yeah he paid for 2 abortions.......wait......remember.....hypothectical scenario. Don't get bent out of shape. Now all better..huh.

Your welcome, correcting you I can do.

Now to the point. Will you please respond to the theme of the "hypothectical scenario" by giving me your view on marxism and if you think yhat this president and the people he surronds himself with has marxist tendencies?

Hey you said downtroddened. I didnt. Why not say happy? That would be the wrong word too. Its your scenario pal. And you cant change the scenario to include abortions. You'll have to start over. Uh, why not make it a guy who maybe isnt smart enough to get into college. Is he not also intitled to the American dream? Are you and everyone you know a doctor? Do you only associate with those with degrees? No. I dont think its Marxism. It may have some socialist overtones. But thats been the case for a long time now. Are you going to refuse your social security check when its time to collect? Youre a real man of principles if you do
