For those that would make excuses for this guy...anyone ever think that perhaps Obama wouldn't have looked so good to the larger amount of voters if the guy that the smaller amount of voters chose was so terribly bad? The democrats could of run practically anyone and won. Then the next presentation might be Sarah Palin? Are the right wingers so far out there that they can't even recognize their own candidates are "so far out there"?

I don't think Sarah Palin is fit to be President. Yeah, she was Governor of Alaska (which is kind of like a community organizer/state politician, I guess) and she has now written a book. But, she still needs to give a rousing speech at a convention and I'd like to see her spend a year or two in the Senate.

Then she will still be unqualified but no one will apparently care. ;)

Fact is, you are right about the current President. The only reason he was able to get elected, while being quite unqualified for the job, was because the previous President was hated and his main opponent in the election was hated and old and his main opponent in the primaries was hated and a woman.

Well, that's your take I suppose. Mine is that pacemaker Joe was too old, but more hated because he was "fake", arrogant and clueless. But then when Sarah arrived on the scene, it was all sewed up. Nothing to do with being a woman. Hell, they can't do any worse than the men did. No the woman thing had nothing to do with it. In fact, I'm sure that was pacemaker Joe's logic was in picking her. She WAS a woman, and an answer to Hillary. Again, her arrogance trumped everything, including her cluelessness. All she did when introduced at the RNC's convention, was sarcastic dig after scarcastic dig. She was to be the attack dog, which she actually did quite well, if all you look at is the ability to call people names and ridicule (which the right loves more than tax writeoffs when talking about the left). Unfortunately for them, and fortunately for the country, Corporations Incorporated was declined by most of the American people, and insured Obama's victory. That's the way it works when one side is so bad...we're left with the only other choice, which is mostly why the railing of the Obama administration has begun almost from the outset...to make it easier for the right to slip in some other schmuck and then they win by default.

Who didn't even get out of the Primary. ;)

I am no Palin fan, BTW. I was serious about that. Certainly not for President or VP.

She'd might make a good talk show host, though. And she'd certainly fit in as a Representative...that's not saying much, though, because the standards are pretty low in the House obviously. She'd probably make an ok Senator too. The standards seem to be slipping there too. Heck, if Al Franken can be a Senator...

And, truth be told, I did not vote for Obama or McCain. I 'threw my vote away' as people like to say. But, I am just not able to keep choosing the lesser of 2 evils over and over again every 4 years.

What does Palin have to do with Bush? Or vice versa? Everyone knows that the Dems won inspite of its ineptness. Thats how Carter won. But who really is qualified to be Prez? Truman was a sock salesman. But he didnt muck things up too badly. And today someone like Lincoln would never have a chance. A self taught lawyer? C'mon.

So then the answer is Sarah Palin?? Surely you gest. I always loved how the right beat on Clinton day after day. He was the worst....blah, blah, blah...but they couldn't find anyone to beat him. If he was so bad he should have been very easy to beat via the noble and self righteous right, but it didn't happen. Same now with Obama. Gee...as horrible and awful as those presidents are., we just don't have anybody better to offer up. Must be because WE'RE right and they're wrong. That's the mentality that will keep the republicans out of the white house for years to come. That's why they're "eating their own" right now. Their only chance is to keep the democrats home on voting day, having their representitive "appointed" president, or make sure "Diebold", excuse me, "Premiere Election Systems", is around to rig the elections.

You say these things and then say Bush was terrible, yet he won twice also. So I guess the only person who is really qualified to be President is someone who has been President.

I know the right doesn't like to talk about it, but there was MAJOR election fraud in both elections favoring Bush. Multiple counties in various states with more votes for Bush then were registered voters. That's called fraud. That's criminal activity, which would be his theme throughout his assault on America. Doesn't hurt either to have a couple of Federal judges in daddy's hip pocket insuring your appointed position. He was "appointed". Remember that? Far as I know "appointing" isn't same thing as being elected or winning.

    ACORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WHAT DID ACORN DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????

You act as if we'll ever have a fair election again! LOL! The system has been broken and it goes well beyond election fraud. You just keep railing on the right though while the real criminals behind the scenes are the ones controlling this mess.
Someone decided Obama was the right puppet for the job. A well spoken black man that would surely receive the sympathy vote, the black vote, the soccer mom votes and solidify all the liberals and leftwing extremists. He is the base for sure. I guarantee you there was no real logical thought process that installed Obama for 4 years. More like a cult like following of desperate people.
If you really want to pop a f--king champagne cork over that, be my guest. I think it's pathetic. Complete ignorance and madness.

    Read my sig lines.

I never apologize for Bush. Every one of us realizes the dems could have ran anybody and won last November because of the party. (Not saying much BTW) OLD NEWS.

I don't know many people who thought Palin was qualified to be president. I never said she was. I said it many times. The only reason a few latched onto her was because she had more balls than anybody else left in the party!!!

If Regan came back from the dead and ran against Obama in 2012, it would be an embarrasing landslide. The republicans can't come up with anybody because it actually takes guts, conviction, strong will and a back bone to be an excellent candidate that excites the base. For the dems, it only takes a warm body that panders to polling data and masters the art of fooling the mouth breathers. Much easier. They're much more bountiful.

I will never be a GWB apologist, he was far from a great POTUS, and I feel tricked by him.

What strikes me here is the lack of intellectual honesty among many.

Bush was in the pocket of the corporations.....bad
    Obama same......acceptable

    Bush tied in with Wallstreet......bad
    Obama even more......acceptable

    Bush lied.......bad'
Obama has been caught is so many freakin lies.....acceptable

    it goes on and on.

    Corruption in W's election......bad
    Acorn? again acceptable

    Cmon folks

Tom Corona, you have proven yourself an excellent investigator and show very intelligent. I would suggest you keep up your track record of exposing corruption, but, please take a look at the left as well.

They are all corrupt gang. We in the real world need to band together to end the corruption, regardless of party affiliation.

Palin in 2012? Get serious

Well you've answered one question anyway. The republicans have no backbone, so they have no representitive. Yeah and if Kennedy could run against Reagan, Ronny would be sub meat. Don't know what that has to do with anything but..Fars as the dems responding to polling data...aren't our elected supposed to represent the people? How does following polling data conflict with trying to find out what the people want? If the majority voted every time, every election, the republicans would NEVER get in. Simple mathematics. But instead, all you hear are the mouthpieces of the minority railing against the dems, regardless of their ideas or positions on anything..because of course, it is in their own self best interest to do that, otherwise thet'd never win anything. They would never have the numbers. So people get disgusted and don't vote. Understandable. But if everybody does that..I assure you the elite would keep on buying their way in forever. The more they can confuse and otherwise deter the masses, the better their chances of reigning supreme. IMHO the elected should work for the masses....not the other way around.

You make some good points. I agree Obama was "installed", more or less. A cult following for desperate people? Well..."desperate people" is what society is turning into. Last time I checked, the rich weren't calling themselves "desperate people". Complete ignorance and madness? I'd agree there too. It is an ignorant and mad society that never questions things like 911, JFK's corporate assination, Pearl Harbour being allowed to happen, disappearing trillions from the pentagon, pallets of cash gone "missing" in Iraq., and of course, their complete ignorance of the whole Iraq issue from day one. I'd submit that if George Bush were a member of the democratic party during his reign of terror, you'd have heard the "just say no" crowd on the right bashing him every single day.
Finally, there's one more thing that republicans ALWAYS do when their own screwups are pointed out. The "they did it too!!!" mentality, like the little spoiled rich children that most of them are..blaming someone else for their mess. I thought "personal responsibility" was part of the rights ongoing theme. Apparently that only applies when there is a democrat in the white house. Pathetic?? Damn straight!

    McCain $333M

I agree Jack. Mostly I'm trying to point out the hypocrisy, largely because the right is so voicetrous in their opposition to ANYTHING that's done by the left, but were forever silent during the Bush years. You're correct. Obama so far, appears to be no different than the criminal he replaced. I am hoping that it somehow Obama will "change" his direction. I'm hoping that this administration will actually, at some point, listen to someone other than corporate lobbyists. I do also believe he was our last, best hope. I'm not yet ready to admit that he and his administration are of entirely the same caliber of what they replaced. I keep hoping because I know what the alternative choice is, and I've watched the alternative choice run things off and on my whole life, most especially these past eight years. I thought the same thing of Clinton when he ran against daddy criminal as I do now of Obama. Thought he may be "Kennedy like". I was wrong. He's no Kennedy. Clinton may as well change his name to Bush. Sad but true. I'm hoping Jack...I'm hoping because I know what the alternative is and I like that choice even less.
