Hey, tomc, if Bush is to blame for all of this, why aren't you fighting for the release of KLM? Why isn't BO exposing Bush as the mastermind behind 9/11 (he's responsible for everything else, according to the two)?
Obama am bad. Bush am good. Why am left wing hate America? They am probably homesexuals. Fox am real news. He am disengage Bush worshipper because him make head spin.
While humorous, that cartoon doesn't do much to dispel the elitist and condescending reputation the left has (figuring that the person who drew it probably wasn't a registered Republican. ) Kind of like that new book talking about John Edwards being a 'man of the people' but not wanting to get his hands dirty actually being around them.
Yes, I got it. The left is bad. (well they did it too!) John Edwards is a scumbag. So is Newt Gengrich, and Ann Coulter is a man. But that was all in the past...we need to move on. Water under the bridge. Right? It only matters what happens now, because there is a lefty in there. Never you mind the past. That comic DOES closely resemble the right's stance, you gotta admit. I can picture Sean now.....calling the ficticious comic characters "great Americans". LOL. Anybody for donuts?
Who found the nano-thermite dust, Mark Furman? You think it is more likely that the government killed planes full of civilians and flew remote operated drone planes into buildings than a group of dedicated islamic terrorists highjacked some planes. Reading too many internet conspiracies has desensitized you to the ridiculousness of their content Tom.
You won't read it, or even acknowledge it (other than to possibly ridicule it), but since you asked who found the nano-thermite.....a team of 9 international scientists that says in an online interview (I'll post it if you like), that this kind of science "can't be fudged". I guess the terrorists sprinkled nano-thermite all over Manhattan too. http://www.bentham-open.org/pages/content.php?TOCPJ/2009/00000002/00000001/7TOCPJ.SGM
I guess the question is: is it better to be elitist and own it or be elitist and snow it. Both suck but that is the 2 party establishment we created. Elitists on both sides who know they are just going to trade power between themselves every so often. The cattle keep letting themselves be herded. Sometimes they are herded left and sometimes they are herded right. No one in power really cares about or can relate to the people (the so often talked about Common Man) who need it most...whether that is the undereducated and poor inner city dude or the undereducated and poor rural dude. All they do is patronize them in public and ridicule them in private.
Well...the answer is neither obviously. I submit that the republicans don't own anything. The main reason everybody knows the republicans are the party of the rich is because, besides it being obvious, is because they're really bad at representing the average Joe. They don't openly announce that they're "on the side" the corporate elite. They hide behind catch phrases like "we believe in letting the free market decide", or, "we want government out of your life so you can succeed!" (translation..never mind what we rich do to get richer...and...we want as little light on how we do it as possible. They don't own up to a damn thing. They just quietly institute pro corporate, pro wealthy, pro GREED, policies while quietly hacking up America and screwing anybody they can in order to get there. You know...greed...like not knowing how many homes you own. I say when you start with a party that is all about the rich, you're already screwed. It gets so old hearing the right wingnuts defend their party's criminal behavior (or avoid it by encouraging folks to "move on"). You'll notice that those who defend their party are usually wealthy (but of course they never think they're wealthy). Bend over America. The party of "no" will strike again, coming soon to a Walmart near you. Republicans am good. Yeah right. How's your stock portfolio right wing elitists?
Let's see.....do we want a country where private enterprise is encouraged to grow, pay higher wages, employ more people- at least giving the "common man" an opportunity to participate? Or do we want never-ending government hand outs & entitlements that are designed to keep the poor poor and start eroding the middle class from the bottom up until everyone (except the liberal elite who make the decisions, of course) is standing in line to suck from the government teet?
I've been to NYC many times & I can assure you you'll find some awfully strange stuff in the streets there (stuff kind of like what a certain member here posts). There's no telling what you're apt to find in the rubble of a collapsed skyscraper in the middle of NYC after a multi-ton aircraft, loaded with fuel, barrels into it at a tremendous rate of speed?
Just one thing Tom...I think I remember you saying something positive about Libertarians and Ron Paul too, IIRC. My advice...don't ever vote that way. Based upon your posts, I think you could not be further from that ideology if you tried.
When the libertarians are a viable third party option, I'll consider voting for their candidate. Until then, I'll have to settle for trying to keep the republicans out by voting against them. I didn't make the system, don't really like it, but I do have to play in it on occasion. Such is life.
Free markets, small government, no legislating morality. I am not sure where you would agree with a Libertarian platform.
They repubics are closer to the behavior of dictatorial corporate slimeball elitist thieves than any other collection of spoiled misfits calling themselves Americans. Psst...911 was an inside job.
Should KSM therefore be released? Why hasn't BO called for an investigation or exposed the conspiracy?
