Kanye is a Bad ASS I love Kanye for his music. He is a very talanted dude and supper smart. HIs mother was a phd. She wanted him to get a doctoret so he would have a "real career" instead he followed his dream and now is multi-millionare. Got to respect that. If that's the best he's got, I'm not impressed. I'm not really into that sound but I do like most of Eminem's stuff. More than the casual listener. I (and many others) have never thought Kanye was all that. I don't know how he ever made it. I guess there's simply so many people in existence now that just about anybody can become famous if they try hard enough. I've often said if everybody thought like me, Oprah would be lucky to have a job bagging groceries for example. But, there's so many people willing to listen to somebody speak their opinion that a show can actually thrive based on it. Same goes for Kanye having a successful career. Is he a racist? No doubt about it. Foolish question.
Just not my genre of music. I have no basis to judge good or bad in that genre. It all sort of sounds the same to me, but then again my brother says the same about the music I like (jazz).
Name one that has become as successful for doing the exact same thing? Fortunately, there's only enough time for one I guess.

I have a better question..... Does anybody care if Kanye West is a racist? I certainly do not. I have John Lee Hooker, BB King, Little Richard, Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker, The Platters, Chuck Berry, Jimmy Hendrix, etc etc ad infinutum black artist records. They all could be racists, I dont care I love the music. Kanye is just a plain ass, lets leave the race thingy out of it. I'll even quote the big guy, he is a jackass.

When I was in 7th grade and his first album droped it was too great. Not as big a fan as some of his middle work where he got more political. Rap styles are very regional. As an example I love southern rap. It is offten hated on for being "dumb" all about drugs exct, but the beats and lyrics speak more to the experiances of southern people of collor and really southrn poor people in genral. I grew up in the burbs, but went to highschool that was very deveirse. It was 60/ 40 white/ non white when I went. Yeah In alabama people still care about stuff like that really sad, but none the less I got intruduced to a lot of differnt music and styles. Daner: Jazz is awsome. I love Acid Jazz in perticuler. Dr. John, MMW an amazing band I got to see them this summer. Check out the "The Word". There music is kinda hard to find. I thought they where on Archive.org, but sadly they are not. They take gosspile songs and improv. It is very very cool. Kanye is a jack ass. I don't think he is racist though. He is just a crazy meglomaniac, but like I said that is what makes him so great. He might also be a gay fish... anyone watch south park. They showed that eppisode the other night. Also like I said he made "threw the wire" with his jaw wierd shut. How many people could sing/ rap 2 weeks after being in a major car accident with there jaw wired shut. The whole Colledge Drop out album is freaking great. music is one of those things that is very subjective. No real right or wrong, but still I don't think one can hate on the man.
