I just saw the google add to the right here advertising Joetheheckler.com. LOL! Are these people serious? How many people here were offended by that? I sure wasn't. I wish he wouldn't have apologized. Obama was lying by stating half truths. The democrats will not allow language in the bill that specifically deny illegals coverage. But Obama said they will not be covered? I think it's a joke how big of a deal the back lash was over this guy shouting out. He should have held is stance and ran with it. Now he's ruined his credibilty with both sides instead of trying to hang on to supporters that agreed with him. People want to argue that this was 'the first time someone had ever shouted out calling the president a liar during one of these speeches.' I like Rush Limbaugh's take on it. "There's a first time for everything." LOL! I predict he'll be re-elected.
Unfortunatly he will have been pressured to apologise for his outburst by the party leaders (Yes even Republicans toe the party line when told) It was hardly what one would call a heckle or a outburst was it! And in all fairness to the man he later apologised for his lack of civility which to me was what a gentleman would do Was he wrong to shout out, I do not think so if his believs were that strong then he had the right to speak up. I dont know if any of you have ever seen the British house of commons in session LOL makes his little outburst sound like a damp squib going off
It was an affront to protocol and tradition. In the house of commons in London this type of thing is acceptable but we have different traditions. Personally it does not bug me, it was a major win for the Dems.
the calling by some for censure etc comes over as been vindictive, President Obama accepted his apology and the outburst was aimed at him, from my point of view the best thing the Dems could do would be to forget all about it and get on with the seriouse buisness of running the country. If they were to persue a course of seeking retribution they would loose whatever they might have gained in this incident and a whole lot more to boot.
You can asail our military, spend us into 10 generations of unmanageable debt, take over buisnesses, etc but you can't call a liar a liar? Is this where the radical, fanatical libs are taking us?
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't I see him on TV saying he will not apologize a second time. IMO, if he apologizes after having said he won't, it would be worse than defying the party leaders.

I remember Trent Lott calling Clinton a scumbag. Scumbag! In the area I am from thats refers to a used condom. Nice guy that Lott. And he never apologized. Its just stuff you dont do. i'm sure alot of folks here would like to say more to Obama. But wait till he's out. Its respect for the office, not the man.
You're probably right. I just don't think the guy imagined his statement would get this much attention when he decided to say it. It seemed like there was a pretty good background of booing at the time anyway. To any extent, a lot of attention and time has been wasted talking about it. I would not call that a win for the health care bill which was the whole point of being there.
