lol I agree. And the points DeOrc keeps glossing over even though you stated it well is that these people were the key players in the foundation of his beliefs. He didn't just shake hands with Ayers, say hi, and go about his business. They were buddy buddy.

He didn't just say hi to Rev. Wright and move on as DeOrc is trying to imply. The guy was involved in his life for 20 years.

It's like there's a statute of limitations on how long we're allowed to remember the 'issues' and baggage that came along with Obama. After enough time passes, we're supposed to forget about history and gear up for the new issues, problems and jokers he chooses to surround himself with.

We're buds but at times we pretty much hate one another. Pretty darn sure we both know that by now.

I also happen to like Steve (De Orc) as we have a few things in common. We both love hockey for example.

As a friend I'll tell you this though dude. You get TOO wound up at times and you know it. I feel this is one such case and will show you why I think so.

Geez, Jack the moment I saw this thread I said Peter was "stirring the pot". He's not here often but he does "stir the pot" when he is here. One does not have to be a member of MENSA to realise this.

Here's what I see in you and Steve when it comes down to it Jack. Two well read individuals.
You both contribute and, yes, I tend to agree with Steve more and here's why. He is better at pulling out past facts than you are.
You are more based in "facts" that are still new and therefore not as solid.

So my question is, ESPECIALLY in the volatile world of PRWE, should he not be allowed to participate?

Jack I have to ask this what exactly have I instigated? I respond to posts by others now if you and those others wish to call me names then I will respond the alternative is that I ban anyone who attacks a mod. (Now that would be playing it by the rule book, is that what you want?) I start very few threads here Jack just check for yourself. I just tried a small experiment of asking a couple of civilised questions to a couple of people and what did I get in return a Tirade!! I have come to accept the fact that d'orc sits back & waits for a conservative to post (especially me,it seems) so he can jump in and present the Euro-socialist/liberal/anti-American "read it on the internet" side of every issue, but that's okay. Usually his posts are reaffirmations that the US needs to stay the course and continue doing what is right even if those abroad & some at home don't agree. There's a reason why the US is the country that it is. But when one assumes power & pushes "change", or takes queues from countries that have "tried it" and failed or "tried it" and drifted into meteocrity...we as Americans, have to speak out. Much to d'orc's chagrin, I don't need to read a link on the internet to form my opinion..my values & beliefs were formed way before now. I think this has been his biggest problem with me.

Being a moderator and a participant on a forum like this is a tough line to walk. I think it is a bit of an unfair comparison to use GD. I like Doug a lot but he doesn't have to moderate discussions like we have here over there on CT.

Speaking from a bit of experience (as I have done both), it is not near as difficult to be a participant moderator on a coin forum as it is on a debates type forum. You will always piss more people off on a forum like this than one like CT.

I am a Conservative have been for years but I am also willing to listen to other ideas, I also do not attack a political figure just for the hell of it nor do I go out of my way to distort the truth of statements made by politicans. I try very hard to be unbiased in my assesment of them and there policies, now can you honestly say the same?

What do I know about Politcs and Politicians well I have a degree in Political science and economics, my father in law was a election agent for many years, I have met and conversed with former Home secrtaries and a couple or three former Prime ministers + numerouse MP's from most parts of the commons. so I think I have a fair understanding of how these things work

Supporting Obamas AGENDA is to support the destruction of our Constitution as we know it. It is to support destroying Americas military might, it is to support penalizing the achievers to make things equal, etc et al.

The Bank bailouts began under President Bush Jack not President Obama, also as I have breviously posted a number of them have allready made inroads into paying back the money they recieved.
What would your reaction have been Jack if upon taking office President Obama had decided to stop any help to the banks, insurance industry, motor companies etc and let them all collectivly go to the wall?
Wall st was allready tumbling daily what do you think the reaction there would have been and how do you think the dollar would have faired.
What do you think the knock on effect of such a series of events would have been?
