Obama makes a case against Gov't control?

This was buried a bit but I think it is rather important. Earlier in the week, Obama made a statement to the effect look at Fedex & UPS they are doing it right, it's the US Postal Service that is screwed up. Now if that isn't confirmation that gov't bureaucracy is a mess, I don't know what is.
Add to that craigs comment that he pays a lower tax rate because he "has a good accountant" (not a shot at you craig, just an example of how the redtape is intrepreted & implemented) and you will see why so many are spectical of Obama's scheme to force us to turn over our personal healthcare to the gov't.

One of 2 things had to happen...either Obama went off teleprompter for a moment and actually had a lucid thought of his own or one of the teleprompters went rogue and Obama didn't realize what it was telling him to say.

 

I watched that for a while and decided that it was the handpicked audience reading from the teleprompter. I decided to watch something more credible and believable so I switched over to Jerry Springer.

I heard today of another plant. Seems a lady claimed to be a doctor & proclaimed her support for Obamacare only to fess up a little later that she really wasn't a doctor but was representing a few firends who were doctors. She also admitted to being an Obama delegate at the DNC.

Gee, the silence on this thread is deafening, isn't it?

 

Honestly hadn't seen it David nor have I heard about it so there is a slight possiblity you're actually right - or should I say correct?

Can you possibly provide me with a bit more information on this? I'd really appreciate it.
I know you don't have the time to listen to talk radio or anything like that as you've said in the past so I can only figure you have some really good insight and contacts. Please share it. I have an Enquiring mind.

I saw that clip. And I thought he said those two companies were doing ''all right''. Not it right. He said it twice so I'm sure I'm right. And I dont think I put quotations when I posted I had a good accountant. Dont you? Or do you suggest that perhaps he's cheating. Through investments and charities and legal tax deductions, that how it winds up. Had the quotations notve been there; then the no shot at me wouldve applied. I must say some of you right wingers are really paranoid. Not you, David. But you guys see alot crap that isnt there. You want to see it, therefore you do. Maybe they pick speakers who are going to curse him out or stuff like that. How is it Obama's fault that the woman claimed she was an M.D.?

 

Obama also lied when he said he had the endoresemnt of the AARP.

So just to keep score here- plants? lies? teleprompter slips? Really instills confidence in me.

Just to put it in proper context clembo, that was a response to one of our lib friends accusing conservatives of having their beliefs formed by talk radio commentators. How can I be influenced by talk radio when I work all day and don't have the luxury of having a radio playing in my office? True, I'm in my car for about 5 minutes going to work & 5 minutes going home but that is about the extent of it.

 

Unless you really open up your sources of the news, you will only get the news they want you to get, and you'll miss the news they don't want you to know about. Thats the problem with alot of the USA, they are getting filtered news.

It is no wonder that FOX has skyrocketed in ratings since the election. Folks are waking up that they are not were getting all the news from Katie and Keith . PRAVDA is state run news, much like MSNBC.

Along with my righty sites, I also scroll many others as well, DailyK, Huffy, Politico, etc etc, there are many.

The second one I perused and it seems legit as well. Can't say for sure at this point although I did like the line about "Joe the plumber". Hey, what do you guys expect of me?

I say this because I seriously doubt Obama is the first to use these tactics IF he did but it does look that way doesn't it.
I'm not going to say it's right cuz it isn't. Never has been and never will be.

For those of you that think I back everything Obama says you're wrong. For those that just want to attack him on everything he does - you're wrong too.

He was voted in as President for many reasons whether or not everyone likes them. That says a lot and we've discussed it a lot.

Just remember.

I can understand why you don't care for her. She will tell you what you don;t want to hear, and she will back it up.

She is an entirely different league, and the left hates the fact that her research is so dead on, her facts are checked and I's dotted, T's crossed.

If she makes a statement, you can do your best to try to debunk it factually....good luck.

Unlike Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh and that gang, she does not attempt to get you emotinally invloved or entertain you. She is a " just the facts, mamm " type. She is what Ann Coulter is not.

Now I expect some in here to post links about her from the DailyK or Huffy, or wherever, all will attack her, BUT, try this, debunk any of her statements or expositions with researched and provable facts and prove your sources. That, folks will be a task. Attack her personally, that will be easy.

If you look back into some threads here, I railed on Hannity and Limbaugh for accepting GM ad money after they spent a week trashing them and the gov intervention. Beck is new to me. I have a fresh and bendable opinion on him. I like his angle, but am questioning many of his tactics.

GM bad when connected to Obama.
GM good when they buy ad space on my program.

Pay a tad closer attention Craig.

I really , really would like to be known as the guy who calls it as I see it. Bash all you want, but I have a steady track record of " the way it is " here.

Granted, my start may have been rough, but I have setteled in and found my nitche.

Tactics? You mean like being full of crap? Thats not a tactic. If you need/want a title, I'll call ya the guy who calls it as you see it. But heres a truth you may not like. The Fox news channel has a slant towards the right. That doesnt mean its on the money. It does mean you like them because of that. I looked as far back as february and could not find anything about GM and those pundits you mentioned. When did you post those comments?

 

Watched the clip on tv a short while ago and I do agree it looked like a plant, but I then have to ask why the suprise, has no American politician ever places there own people in a audience before? At times I am astounded by the shock expressed by member of this and other forums when there elected representatives are found to be lying or shall we say economical with the truth
