We heard it for years, the Bush economy, pain at the pump, Poor folks and taxbreaks for the rich....over and over for 8 years.

    Well, heres todays news:

THE lowest revenue for the USA since the depression. I'll even take this from the left friendly HuffiungtonPost: Oh, I'm sorry, they changed their headline and burried the story today. Go figure.

Heres a link from somewhere else:

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_plummeting_taxes

Now, I ask you to google the highest record tax period revenue collection in the history of the USA. Yep, it was in 2007. During the " Bush Recession "...,most $ EVER collected by the IRS in 1 year. EVER. EVER.

    Obama? LOWEST since 1932..

Debunk that. Give me a good arguement for raising taxes ( even talking about raising them) ( talking about it puts business into a spendiong freeze, I can illustrate this if asked ).

What I am not trying to do folks is prod and castigate. I am only trying to illustrate actual events. If you are angry with my threads, I ask that you dont kill the messanger. Ask yourselves when you are finally tired of the bullcarp that you are being fed. We all are Americans. Lets stand together and fight this freakin carp that they ( repos and dems ) are trying to force down our throats.

Fight back. Thats what our founding fathers did. They were also called radicals.

Yea, but unlike our founding fathers the idiots in Washington dont have sympathy for radicals and rebels. They are scared you might sink the gravy boat. Then again these guys were elected to speak for us. Its not tyranny yet. theres always election day to strike back.

If you are saying that it is a shame that Bush left us in such bad shape, I could not agree more.

You seem to have been tricked into thinking this is Bushes recession instead of the Dem's.

It was Barney Frank and that ilk that caused the failure of the Fanny/Freddy housing collapse with the feelgood loans and hish risk paper. It was the Dem's prearranged October suprise that went off the track that caused this recession.

I am saying is that when you give more people money to spend ( tax cuts), they spend it and revenue increases. Every single time in history. Fact.

    Example.

Cash for clunkers. What in essence happened, was car buyers were given a $4500 " tax cut /credit ( money from the feds) " to spend on cars. It worked so well that the plan ran out of money in 4 days. 4 days 1 Billion dollars. Thats a lot of money spent and tax paid isn't it. Local city and state sales tax is huge on a new car, and the Federal excise tax is nothing to sneez at.

Now, imagine if the " stimulus " plan that did nothing to stimulate , 100's of billions of dollars, was given back in a tax cut. The revenue would be rolling in now wouldn't it.

Bush cut taxes and the revenue to all governments, city state and fed increased to RECORD amounts.

I had hoped to stir it up a bit with my blame Obama only for the recession, I was only kidding and fishing. I canot leave that stand tho because I am leaving for LA and dont want you all to think I am that brain dead :p.

I do stand solidly on the tax/revenue things tho.

As I type, I have cancelled my tree trimmers and yard workers, and finally my pool crew ( yes, all had business licenses and paid taxes, I know because I asked for proof of business licenses and insurance ,for my own protection)...I do it now to save money. I changed my own oil this month as well. My wife has stopped going to the nail salon for manicures and pedicures, as well as her " girly botique " on weekends for facials and massages. We are now spending that money on the shiny stuff, 20 ounces of silver extra a month for us.

At the hotsauce convention, the sauce sellers were doing great ( I did miss the show due to an airline mistake tho ) but have heard that the botteling and filling equiptment makers and the 40 gallon steam kettle and cooking / brewing equiptment folks did not make one sale. With all this tax small business talk, tax the " rich " etc etc, many folks are in financial lockdown. Less revenue.

Have a great weekend. This time tommorow I will be at the Reagan Library, then on to the ANA show Friday.

    Jack,

I've been to your house remember? If you were spending the equivalent of THREE ounces of silver per month on yardwork, tree trimming and pool maintenance you were paying too much.
They sure weren't picking the lemons.

Now tell me your lovely wife needs to spend the equivalent of 17 ounces of silver on manicures and pedicures. Better yet tell HER that.;) She'll kick your butt as she should.

    Good one Jack.

Haven't been to my house recently Dan, no more lemon tree, a Cabana sits there now next to my outdoor kitchen and grill patio, all on top of the pavers and flagstone that was dirt when you saw it. We have upped the ante long since. Backyard Paradise now. As for the wife wasting money on girly crap, I have always been against that.

20 ounces of silver is only $300 a month...not too hard to tighten the belt that much each month between the 2 of us.

Now, aside from ragging on my yard, can you make my arguement on revenue wrong? That would be a much smarter tactic yannow?
