It makes a nice catch phrase. But I don't think either of the two current parties are going to stop feeding at the federal trough long enough to make it anything else but a catch phrase.

I really just think the Dems don't want any part of a smaller/less powerful government whether they are in power or out of power. And the Pubs only want smaller/less powerful government when they are out of power. When they are in power, well, you get the Bush/Republican Congress years. Certainly not a states rights era. lol Truthfully, I think 'states rights' sounds ok but, really, individuals rights are more important. And the only way to twist their arms is probably to vote third party but that won't happen in large enough numbers unless one of the other partys fails. Pubs are closest to that, so I nominate them. Maybe they should disband for the good of the country.

Both a problem. Both sides know enough about the other that they can not be whistle blowers. What is the first thing out of the mouths of the Arnuld when things get bad. Let us see, cut school funding, fire, police, medical and what ever he can do to get you to rollover. Most of you work and have other duties or would like to read a good classic. Caleefornya is broke because of ????? Not being able to control spending. Not on what they threaten us with taking away, it is all the other parts of big government that they wish to control through a massive bureaucracy. We produce enough food to feed a big part of the nation,but our number one cash crop is smoking dope. Maybe all the legislators are stoned, is why we have to do every thing via proposition.
