Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 600 employees and has the following employee statistics: 29 have been accused of spouse abuse, 7 have been arrested for fraud, 9 have been accused of writing bad cheques, 17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses, 3 have done time for assault, 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit, 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges, 8 have been arrested for shoplifting, 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits, and; 84 have been arrested for drink driving in the last year. Which organisation is this ? It's the 635 members of the House of Commons, the same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us inline. What a bunch of b ***** ds we have running our country - it says it all. And just to top all that they probably have the best 'corporate' pension scheme in the country!!
I would argue that all 635 are guilty of passing bad checks, but people continue to cash government checks, so I imagine you'd have a hard time getting convinctions And you didn't even mention the paragon of virtue that is Michael Martin.
LOL yep a living legend I think he claims the honour of not only been the most hated speaker in history of the house but also quite possibly the one who has lined his pockets the most. The man is a utter disgrace to his position.
wow...you have a bunch of degenerates I wonder how the Congress would stand up against these stats. The drinking and driving stats alone are sky high.
What's the big deal? So a few have had a few problems. They're only human right? I"m sure when it comes down to the best interests of your country and the policies they set forth the people are the main focus and what is good for them. Just like here (and everywhere else for that matter). Is anybody's screen dripping with sarcasm yet?
LOL at the moment we are going through a slight parlimentry scandal over expenses claimed by the members, you know such as intrest on a morgage that was allready paid off, getting your moat cleaned etc and guess which esteemed member of parliment has the job of overseeing these expense claims LOL yep you have it Mr Speaker Martin There are now calls afoot for his removal from office, a couple of Labour (Socialist) MP's have been suspended from there party and there is talk of a police investigation. All in all a very interesting couple of weeks in British political life
Michael Martin has announced that he is to step down as Speaker of the House of Commons over the MPs' expenses scandal http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/new...Michael-Martin-announces-his-resignation.html
