I have to ask exactly what obligations those are that Europe has not complied with LOL now as for the Europeans not been able to field a army of any consiquences well that might boil down to there been absolutly no such animal as a european army (As yet)
Answer Europe , would be England, France, Germany , Spain And western Europe in general. We have taken care of most defense for them,for over sixty years. They thow in a little some times through NATO. Obligations are hard to meet with long paid vacations and all the money consuming perks in a socialized society. The heath care does not compare to what we have in America but we do not cover illegals. Some go to free clinics. We take care of food for Africa in a big way until they can get physically well to be able to work and defend themselves.America is in a mess because of corruption and greed . As they say the fish rots from the head.America has been a generous society. Oh no defense budget of size equals using nukes to make a point. I like Europe but they are now in a bucket like we are and are trying to deal with a global situation, immigration etc. They are many our ancestors ! Pep
Right 1st off England is part of Great Britain and not a entity on its own now you still have not answerd my question. If you call British involevment in Korea, two Gulf wars and Afghanistan a little something then you realy need to get out and about a bit more. France was out of Nato for many years and took care of it's own defences, Germany has a very competent army as do we Brits and as do the French. Britain by the way paid the USA back every dollar it recieved in war aid (WWII) with interest care to tell me which other country did that? So what commitment are you talking about? We have a very good health service over here as do most European countries, our Education is also excellant. Do you know how many countries in Europe have had troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan?
More? I will agree the Brits have done more then all others probably together. Europe is not about to spend money on more wars, and to prove it they keep resources down. They tax at devistating rates like we will be looking at . That breaks the spirt of small business and individual liberty. I would not be comfortable with a camera on every corner. Yet they spend untold monies on giving rights and laws to people who come from countries that will not adapt to your lifestyle. If you do not adapt, why would you be there ? As a whole there are about 270 million people in your area( Europe ) and 300 million in the United States. The last time the Brits got into a war was the Falklands and America helped you out of that in a hurry. The Brits are our closest allies. The rest depend on tourism and a total socialistic way of government. But it is your Europe and not Americas. We made our break long ago. Yes France was in Indochina . In 1954 the U.S paid them half a billion dollars U.S. to quell problems in Vietnam.They sat around while the locals came over the mountains to Dien Bien Phu where the populas wiped them out while sitting on their easy chairs. The aproxomate population of the European union (27 countries) alone is some 499,000,000 Million people and that is not all of Europe, most of those countries actualy are not socialist, all of them are Parlimentry Democracies 6 of them are Kingdoms and 1 a Dutchy then of those affiliated 1 is a Theocracy, 1 is a parliamentary co-principality, 1 is a parliamentary representative democratic monarchy, 1 is a constitutional monarchy and principality and finaly we have a parliamentary representative democratic republic with a Captain Regent as head of state The population of the USA is aprox 306,407,000 As for the Falklands the help renderd by the USA (Thanks to Regan) was behind the scenes and logistical there was no troops no ships no aircrafts in actual fact the American Navy said a seaborn invasion woudnt work LOL We also recieved a great deal of logistical and use of bases from Chile. make it this easy. per capita we just do a whole lot more to help human suffering and to help countries then any country in the world . It has been this way for quit a long time. The French did help us with ships to win our independence. We all depend on each other , a certain amout of giving is good for those who are sick and cannot work ( Africa ) .
