It would be great to hear Obama say Blago needs to be impeached right before Obama is implicated in this corruption. Then Obama can be impeached soon after. This new change is fun to watch.

Why would I defend him? I know some think everything he does from inhaling to exhaling is evil. And some think he can do know wrong. Both sides are the crazy fringe in my book. Most look and see what is actually going on and if comes out bad or good, judge him accordingly. Condemn or praise.

Not enough info in this one for me to say one way or the other. I haven't had time to look into the reports to see what is actually being said. DO I think it is plausible that some in his group talked to Blaggy or his people about who Obama would like to see take his seat? I would not doubt it at all. That would seem pretty standard.

 

Then by this statement, you're joining the crowd and giving him a free pass! He never heard Wright say anything outrageous over a 20 year span either. He never thought Blago was a bad guy over 6 years either and actually campaigned for him. He never knew Ayer's history. He told the press that he never let race play a role in his campaign yet admitted it at a debate that they had. He's flip flopped many many times already on statements that have been made.

One day his chief of staff comes out and says that Obama did speak to Blago about the senate seat. And sure, maybe nothing illegal was done in that meeting. But out of fear to cover their a$$es, now even that's got to be covered up and guess what...........LIED about again!! Now the story changed. Now he never talked to him at all and no member of his staff has ever looked at, touched, or spoke with Blago before either!! Just like magic.

My problem is that regardless of what happened, he feels the need to lie about it and say nobody spoke with Blago when in fact it appears they did and even you say it was 'very likely'.
Hey, as long as the retard majority eats that up as the truth.... mission accomplished.

 

I already said I haven't looked into the reports to see what was actually said. All I have read about it is what you and David had posted and, I'm sorry, but I don't consider either of you to be any kind of unbiased source.

I remember reading that Obama said none of his staff talked to Blaggy but that he was going to check it out and make sure. Personally, being someone who has had people who work for me, I would have left that first part out because you don't always know what your people may have said or done. I would have said "I am unaware of anyone in my staff talking to him but I will investigate it and make sure."

Now, if it turns out Obama did talk to Blaggy about it, then that is directly contrary to what Obama said and I would definitly say call him on it.

And if Obama knew what Blaggy was doing and didn't report it to anyone, then that is a huge issue.

But, truthfully, I doubt that either you or David would care one way or the other about what was actually said or done. Obama is guilty either way.

 

All this talk of linking Obama to Blagoyevich reminds me of 5 years ago when Saddam Hussein was being linked to Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden. And WMD's were all over the place.

 

I wonder if there was ever any objectivity in politics in the past or has wearing blinders always been a part of being a member of a political party.

As stated before, I don't know how anybody can trust a word coming out of his mouth. That statement is meaningless to me. His credibility is already shot. After Emanuel already stated that Obama had discussed his seat with Blago, now the story is reversed and Emanuel must not have known what he was talking about. He probably felt that there was no need to hide anything because there was no wrong doing, but maybe Obama got nervous about it? How foolish of Emanuel to come out and state truths before consulting the mesiah!

What did you really expect them to say? That several people were involved and we're looking into it? Would you really expect honesty at this point?

Well, I would expect the federal prosecutor to be coming out about it if Obama or his people were involved in any wrongdoing. And frankly I believe they have said there was no implications there. There are plenty of people who they do have evidence on, like JJ jr and other Dems, and those people are known and it is known that they are involved in various ways.

If there is something similar that they come out with about Obama, I will certainly condemn him but I just haven't seen it yet.

I am sure the Republican blogs are all aflutter just like the Democrat blogs have been constantly the last 8 years. But that just doesn't mean much to me. Most of them are just the loony fringes and talking heads who make their money by stirring up half baked conspiracy theories.

 

Why is it that those who do not like Obama have no problem not believing anything he says? I bet if he said he knew that the Governor was auctioning the senate seat and even wanted some of the money, they would believe that. Even though they dont believe anything he says, they would think that was the truth. Bush was a coke head in college. Thats ok. McCain wasnt qualified to be an admiral but to run a country, yea. Clinton cheated on his wife. Oh how horrible. Impeach him. Obama supported a democrat governor. He should have known the guy was an ass. Kill him. All those who voted for Nixon, twice or supported him shoudlve known he was an ass. Jeez you dont like the guy, we get it.

 

What I find a bit amusing is that it seems if you don't think Obama is the Anti-Christ, you must think he is the Messiah.

I didn't vote for the guy and I am unlikely to vote for him next time. But, I am perfectly willing to see what he does first before I call for his impeachment. I know, I am giving him too much of a pass on that.

 

Contrary to popular belief, I agree. As I have stated here previously, Obama has to do a good job...we can't afford for him to do otherwise. I simply resent the fact that we have to tolerate him as President at all. His campaign was a fraud & I fear the entire country will pay the price for his egotistical folly. I also find the silence from our lefties here to be deafening. It's pretty obvious Obama was dirty hands in this Blagojevich scandal and several others.

 

What others? You cannot make a scandal of something that isnt. How about the ''Scooter'' Libby thing. It was obvious Bush knew the guy. So he mustve been guilty too. See. Its a non-scandal. How about a fair job. Can he do that? Many Presidents were medicore. Some were even a waste. And looky here; we are still going strong.

I would have voted for any candidate that I thought was good for this country...dem, repub or anything else.
