Distanced himself?

I wonder how much "distance" the beloved media is referring to? Keep in mind, "He never heard Rev. Wright's hate filled speeches over 20 years". (Before it came out.) Then all of a sudden he admits that he DID listen to it and never denounced it.

November 2004: "I'm not interested in running for the presidency."

December 09, 2008: In a short statement Tuesday afternoon, Obama said he was "saddened and sobered" by the allegations, but added he had "no contact with the governor or his office. And so I was not aware of what was happening."

    Hmmmmmm......

Any context on when and where that photo was taken? I have little doubt they were together sometimes in Illinois. That is certainly not the first photo I have seen of them together.

Of coure they will have been seen together I would be realy suspiciouse if they had not, lets look at a few facts :D
He was the Senator for the state
He was in the State legislature
He is a member of the same party as the Governor

So to say he has a association with the man would be perfectly true but to say any more would be pure speculation :D

And I work with a lot of people. Some I like and communicate with regularly. Some I have no opinion on. Some I do not care for at all and I never communicate with them. Much less laugh with them over something.

I don't care about the context of the photo. I won't be caught having a good laugh with people I don't like.

I guess that train of thought is an odd concept??

As with everything else, we're left wondering about the true context of the relationship. Looks like the media's hard at work covering up everything again though. As expected. We wouldn't want the slimmest chance that an ounce of negative truth might escape and tarnish the chosen one.

Who knows. Maybe this time there REALLY is a chance that he didn't know what was going on.

If you're running for the position of the President of the United States of America then yes it is a VERY odd concept. It's gonna happen Vess, whether or not you like the guy you're pictured with. Maybe they were laughing about George Bush?

Let me ask you this Vess. Is your life in the public spotlight 24/7? Can you pick and choose who takes a pic from a few hundred yards away?

Obviously I'd be reaching considering this photo but you are REALLY reaching. This photo is already getting tired as you've used it twice now.

How about some pictures of normally sane people at the office Christmas party? Now THOSE could get interesting.

Not odd but possibly a career ending concept for a politician. lol

That picture, to me anyway, is a little different if it was when Obama was a state legislature and Blaggy was a US Congressman back in the 90'ies or if it was last week and they were on vacation together in the south of France.

Yes Vess, clembo is right, that picture is no good.
That's why you should have used this one that was taken last week instead.

That photo was at the Governors conference so it is not too surprising that he would greet the Governor of his home state.

But, yes, some of what is on those tapes and some of what was said by Obamas people earlier are very interesting. What is also interesting is to see the honeymoon with the press coming to an end. Now that there is no election news, the hounds are starting to be released. lol

The list of people and all the shady deals that Barry has apparently been oblivious to just seems to keep growing and growing.
"I didn't know", "I never heard", "I never had contact", "I never discussed".
Wether or not he was involved in any wrongdoing, can anyone honestly believe that he never spoke to the Governor once about who would take over his seat?

Connecting the dots isn't rocket science here. The Chicago political mob is a close-knit community where each one knows exactly what the other is doing. It's insanity to believe that Obama could get to where he is, as quickly as he did, without the unique kind of "help & support" this gang of criminals provides.
I used to think that George Soros & Ted Kennedy were calling the shots but they may very well have been duped as well which would explain Obama's abandoning of the far left agenda that garnered him so much support from the Dem party.

Have you contacted Patrick Fitzgerald yet?

So I guess anyone who supported or knew or even glanced at Richard Nixon is a crook by association too. Hmm; I recall a picture of Rumsfeld shaking the hand of Saddam Hussien. He should have been tried for treason, huh?

Nope. Not at all. I think they should all be praised! As long as you and everyone here are satisfied and content with your new savior, despite the cess pool he comes from, I'm happy too.

There's no need to implicate or speculate on what he will bring to the Whitehouse or the corruption he will bring to us on a national level. Yes, that's AAAAAAAALLL behind him now. Wwwheew! I'm glad. Thanks for the help!

Sorry. I think I will stick with it. Sometimes it's fun to type out how people actually think about things and to see how foolish they look when it's actually spelled out for them.
