http://businesssheet.alleyinsider.com/2008/11/bailout-junkets-of-2008-a-scrapbook This bailout makes me want to puke.
What I've been seeing is American Business's wanting handouts, not the American people. Something's got to be done to get things back on track. Ribbit
That $700 billion is referred to as the B.O.M.B. (Bush Obama McCain Bailout) and it was a big turning point in why there was no way I was going to vote for either of the 2 main parties for president this year.
Exactly I did not vote for MCCain either, I knew he would carry the state. For the bailout? Not getting my vote. I voted the underticket only. My man won, Sheriff Joe Arpiao.
The hard right always hated McCain, I am pretty liberal and I have voted for Mccain for senate in the past.
Most conservative have not liked McCain much which is not surprising considering some on the extreme left have voted for him for senate in the past.
LMAO! Hahahahahaha! Aw my God. Stop it! Hahahahaha! Just stop it. Wheeew! Next you're going to tell me Obama's views are moderate, center-left?! Does your last sentence tell you ANYTHING? The republican party doesn't want John McCain but they don't have a choice! How would you like Newt Gingrich as say, Senator of New York with a (D) by his name, just F-ing with your party and then being your presidential nominee?
Hey Dan, I think our Governor is going to Washington soon as part of the cabinet. I am happy with his pick ( we think ) of Hillary as Sec of State tho, I do think she would be a good one, far better than Kerry. Obama is very street smart...keep your friends close, and your enemys closer.
Soon the whole gang from the democratic debates will be back together. Never mind all the mud slinging that went on and the dirt that was dug up to make several of them, including Obama, look very bad. They shouldn't even have debates anymore. What's the point? All the negatives are supposed to be left in the past and forgotten so we can come together. How could anyone take the debates seriously again? They have no credibility. Instead of being appalled, the American people simply laugh it off. About all he's got left to do now is find spots for Dennis Kusinich and Mike Gravel and they'll be all ready to "put partisan politics aside for the good of the country!"
Good point! Funny how all the "right wing attacks" and issues that were considered mud slinging were actually questions posed during the dem primaries by Obama's competition. Is there anyone he can appoint that hasn't raised legitimate concerns regarding his fitness to be President?
We are basically in agreement on this. McCain is definitely NOT a part of the hard right. That is why he was forced to pick that knucklehead from Alaska.
I'll be sad to see Janet leave, but it will be good for the nation. So far Obama has been pretty centrist in his choices. I'd say that all of that bs about him being a communist was total bunk.
If you think about it, Hillary helped Obama a lot. 1 she brought out all of the dirt early so the Pubs could not use it. 2 she fought a strong fight all of the way forcing Obama to construct strong operations in all 50 states.
WHAT HAS HE DONE!?!? One minute you're defending him by saying he hasn't had a chance to do anything yet. The next minute you're discrediting still valid arguments as if he had done something. Which is it? Obama is as far left as we have ever seen. There's nothing centrist about him. I'm basing this off of his own stated, twisted, views and associations. Chicago politicians are the definition of the hard left in this country. Every single one of them. Most people, like yourself, don't know what they voted for yet.
I be sad to see her leave only because that would open the door for Phil Gordon. She has not been a horrible gov, but not great either. Look at our deficit.
Vess1, do I detect by some of your postings, that the use of profanity by you would be greatly satisfying? Its an ignorant man's vocabulary. And I dont get that about you. Insanity, yes. But not ignorance.
