Here's what he has to say: Post subject: Sacrifice "As the country moves toward a brighter future we are all going to be called upon to make sacrifices so that those who come after us can live in the kind of world we all want them to. Violence is plague not only in our cities but across the nation. Guns are a major part of that. The Australian solution was pretty severe. It did work though. I do not think something that drastic, no matter how attractive, would work in this country. What restrictions and sensible gun laws will work to keep our children safer and military style assault weapons out of the hands of terrorists? We want to hear from you, the gun owners, before we craft the legislation. Without your input the laws would be rather one sided. I own several rifles and recently purchased a handgun for protection so I am right there with you guys when it comes to the 2nd Amendment. I just want sensible gun control that we can all live with." Does anybody else find this a little creepy? The guy hasn't even taken office yet! He says in another post that the government will "ALLOW" us to keep certain types of weapons for hunting use out of respect for our heritage. But that the 2nd amendment is outdated, just as the third is. I told him that I guess the whole thing is outdated and asked if he and Obama planned on burning it and coming up with a new one. There's your change folks. Obama supporters worrying about the relevance of Constitutional amendments already. Hopefully this guy's just a nutjob looking to stir up a forum but by the way he talks, it sounds like somebody a little more prominent than that. I thought I'd share this with you all while I can. With the fairness doctrine coming down the pike, who knows if we'll be able to freely express these views in a couple years. Internet forums may be completely shut down or at least heavily monitored. Oh I stand corrected. There is no proof that guy is even associated with Obama. He could be you for all we know.
