    Change!! Yes We can...

Although I am no fan of Obama...I love the way he just pisses off the type of people that rant on Free Republic!! Its almost worth it!! Its like Bush with the liberals...they hated him SOOOOO much.

Lets all say it once...PRESIDENT Barack HUSSEIN Obama...now when you say the middle name...its not a tactic to scare off voters from the Islam=terrorist guy...its the middle name of YOUR new president :)

    Hail to our new chief!!

Lets all get used to saying it now...repeat after me...

President Barack Hussein Obama...the next President of the United States of America

I thought it was funny, Ol Jesse Jackson crying in the audience...you know he wasn't crying because he was watching the victory speech of the first black president...he was crying that it wasn't him...he was thinking 'DAMNIT!! It should have been ME!!'

I was a little shocked no one tried to shoot him right then and there...I wonder how many nuts who think they are saving the US will try to kill him in the next 4 years.

I would like to wish our new President the best of luck in dealing with all the serious problems he is about to dive into...ANYONE who won was facing a serious uphill battle...

Might I add that I felt McCains speech to be classy...He wasnt the best man for the job by far...he isnt a maverick, he isnt the most honest politician by far...but he didnt have a lot to work with with the republicans in such a state...and the rightwing nutballs he had to try and please who seem to be moving more right, and more nut every year :) I think the right is more inline with the antics of Palin that the reserved and statesman like McCain these days...like the evangelicals praying on Free Republic for McCain to smite his enemies, Holy war, and all that jazz...

But I was a bit stirred by his speech and I gained a bit more respect for him that night.

Absolutely classless and juvenile. Lets see, you start this out as saying "you are no fan of Obama". Care to elaborate? No? You just want to come here and instagate?

Like most, you have zero clue of the actual gravity of the situation. This isn't a GD game of tag. This is the country people are so foolishly playing around with. Do you think it's funny that a man, very possibly born in Kenya, brought back to the US and then citizenship renounced to move back to Indonesia for several years to go to school and study Islam, then brought back here under admittedly uknown circumstances, deserves to have his portrait alongside the likes of true patriots such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson!?

Out of 63 million votes I would LOVE to know your opinion on approximately what percentage of those votes were actually cast by someone who could pass a civics test and were actually based on informed decisions voting the real issues, with full knowledge of what this guy wants to do or what Change really means. Throw out a number! My guess. Easily less than 20%.

Read my sig line again, if you haven't already and then maybe cork the champagne back up and at least give him a year before we start a celebration. Lets see how good this supposed Change will be (as in finally actual substance rather than rhetoric) or more likely, how much damage is done before we all get so giddy. This isn't a stupid game where now you get to point a finger and laugh.

The only reason Jesse Jackson was crying is that he's witnessing something he can't scream about and that is eroding away the whole point of his cause and existance.

President Obama. It is not too hard to say. Nor is it guarenteed to be the worst thing that has ever happened to this country. I am more than willing to see if he is really the man he campaigned as and not the highly liberal partisian he has served as.

If he turns out not to be what he campaigned as, I suspect there will be enough buyer's remorse to make a difficult run for a second term. The American people are sometimes gullible but they can also be quite fickle.

I thought we weren't allowed to say his middle name because if you did...you were a racist.

We are witnessing the beginning of Jimmy Carter II...but worse!

Go ahead & celebrate your Obama presidency all you want, but don't come crying when he reaches deeper into your pockets to subsidize failure and create a dependent class.
I have seen a lot of changes over the years- some are for the better, some for the worse. The changes that usually work are those that are well planned & thought out. Changes that fail are normally preceded by a call to change for change sake and the potential pitfalls & warning flags are ignored (sound familiar?).

    spot on fella!!

Thank god we have such bright people like you who see things SO clearly...gosh I wish I was as bright and saw things so clearly...I am very impressed I can tell you.

Well, if you knew what you were talking about and not just talking out your ass, a guy like that doesnt sound so great...but for those of us that live in that pesky old real world where actual verifiable facts are required...no, its not the end of the world to have Obama as president. And yes...he will look just fine on my presidental place mats next to all the varied presidents bad and good...at one time he would have been owned by some of those great patriots, now he stands with them...We will see if he deserves that place now that he has it.

That number is irrelevant, a US citizen can vote...and to be honest I would rather have a person who is not completely clear on things than someone who thinks he knows everything but in fact is just spouting off and doesnt know much at all.....A moron is bad...a moron that thinks he knows it all is far worse. Are you saying we should curtail freedoms and not allow some citizens to vote? Here I thought you guys were all about freedom? I heard the republicans as they sunk bemoaning how stupid people are (because our tactics arent working on them and they dont 'get it')...in other words, they arent falling in line behind us.... I have a high opinion of Americans though...I think most of them are pretty bright and the extremes like you and the extremes on the left are rare in the real world...like you they just yap on the loudest using scare tactics and sky is falling garbage so they get more attention...

Just like people like you, trying to tell people what they can and cant do or what something is or isnt...I certainly CAN point my figure at you and laugh...I am doing it RIIIIGHT now. Your irrational fear of the end of all that is good a decent is, to be honest...hilarious!!
Now say it...get used to saying 'My president is Barack Hussein Obama...I want to see the middle name...Your Presidents middle name is Hussein...You guys liked using it over and over again (and not McCains) as a tactic...now that the scare tactics failed...scuttle off to the free republic with the other upset losers and rant about how sure you are that this is the end of freedom and the US as we know it :)

I didnt vote him in...but I will give him a chance...and hope for the best...

Not racist but a blatant tactic of course, I never heard them use McCains middle name...thats alright, it was blatant so it didnt work...I think that is what you guys dont get...you are so obvious. I just wish I could have been in your hidey-hole and seen your face when you realized our next president would indeed be Barack HUSSEIN OBAMA...:) Now scuttle back and post some new hate mongering thing about those crazy muslims, you seem out of place not raging senselessly, posting images of evil doers and color coding to help us morons to understand the important parts. :)

Ok, just so we're clear on some type of point you're trying to make by posting here. Still didn't want to elaborate on what's wrong with Obama but willing to defend him? You're such a nice person.

Thank god we have such bright people like you who see things SO clearly...gosh I wish I was as bright and saw things so clearly...I am very impressed I can tell you.

Ok, step 2 as expected. Resorting to personal attacks once you know you're backed into a corner. Typical and expected.

Well, if you knew what you were talking about and not just talking out your ass, a guy like that doesnt sound so great...but for those of us that live in that pesky old real world where actual verifiable facts are required...

BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!! HAHAHAHA! AAAAHHHAHAHAHA! Whew! Ok. HAHAHAHA! You're a riot. verifiable facts. Whew, that's great. Let me catch my breath........ So I suppose Obama's campaign site provides you with your verifiable facts!?

That number is irrelevant, a US citizen can vote...and to be honest I would rather have a person who is not completely clear on things than someone who thinks he knows everything but in fact is just spouting off and doesnt know much at all.....A moron is bad...a moron that thinks he knows it all is far worse. Are you saying we should curtail freedoms and not allow some citizens to vote? Here I thought you guys were all about freedom?

Yes, you have to admire those freedom loving democrats trying to get all those poor people who aren't exactly clear on things to the polls! LOL! They care so much about freedom, they'll sign somebody up 75 times!!

You know, 5 year olds and the mentally retarded should be allowed to vote for the dems too! Because the current laws are just too restrictive. They should have the right to vote for a democrat too.

People who are "not exactly clear on things" are begging to be controlled and willing to have rights taken away for handouts because they don't know any better.

I heard the republicans as they sunk bemoaning how stupid people are (because our tactics arent working on them and they dont 'get it')...in other words, they arent falling in line behind us.... I have a high opinion of Americans though...I think most of them are pretty bright and the extremes like you and the extremes on the left are rare in the real world (not really, they just elected one president)...like you they just yap on the loudest using scare tactics and sky is falling garbage so they get more attention...

Really? I'd bet 80% couldn't name the 3 branches of our government, let alone what they do, or be able to pick out China on a map. THAT"S reality. I'm glad you're upbeat about it though.

Just like people like you, trying to tell people what they can and cant do or what something is or isnt...I certainly CAN point my figure at you and laugh...I am doing it RIIIIGHT now. Your irrational fear of the end of all that is good a decent is, to be honest...hilarious!!

I didnt vote him in...(Why not!? You're willing to fight for him and defend him?)but I will give him a chance...and hope for the best...

Seeing your mentality, especially at the end, laid out on display for everyone leaves me with no wonder why Obama was elected. Steps to bondage are slow and incremental. Isn't gonna happen over night. Let the good times roll for now though! Maybe we'll get lucky and the damage he causes will be limited. Have to stay positive. [/QUOTE]

where have I fought for him and defended him? I did not vote for him...I started this thread because I knew there were rabid Obama haters here and thought I would rub it in a bit...I have been doing it to all the people I know who have the "OMG!! The world will end!! we will all become socialists commie muslim, re-education camps, baby killer, take my freedom, sky is falling, save our nation from falling into the sea" people who despise Obama to the very core.

My wife is one of those people, tends towards the extreme in her views but she is, as Midas would call her, a "Muslim animal" (I dont agree with him) so she is a little hot blooded. She loved Bush and hates Obama to the core. She is sure that by next year (or sooner) we will all be in communist work farms.

My choice was Ron Paul and I almost wrote him in but then I thought...if he doesn't have the grapes to buck the system and run indy then why should he get my vote? Look at Nader, as much as I disagree with much of what he says, he never has a chance at winning but he doesn't compromise. I feel he compromised and fell back on the old -act to keep someone out of office instead of doing what would have been best- which was, IMO, run and show what a third party can do when the political arena is so devoid of serious fiscal conservatives that someone like Obama and McCain is the best they can give us...

So I voted McCain...not that it mattered, he was always going to win my state anyway...but I couldn't vote for Bob Barr or even less Chuck Baldwin...so I voted McCain as the most moderate conservative...

I do find it interesting that you have such a low opinion of Americans though...seems like you think the majority are all just drooling idiots, or maybe just all Americans that do not agree with you or those you perceive as not as brilliant as you which must be most? Every American I know is quite informed when it comes to the world and events, well educated...well traveled...but then again I am sure they are all just blind, uninformed fools like myself. I must say I find bashing the intellegence of Americans to be distastfull and elitist...I think we have produced or nurtured the greatest minds on Earth and Americans on average are pretty smart. Then again, no one thinks they are an idiot, they must be told they are by smarter people. :)

I honestly dont care why people go to the poll, it is their fundamental right in this society that ALL citizens (with the obvious exceptions) regardless of education levels be given one vote. From the guy in the hills of Georgia with very little schooling to the guy in the inner city with very little schooling, its still a right... I would want it no other way. I can only hope that in the end a good balance is struck. I know many young conservatives, my niece is one, bright young people who have not been pulled to the growing popular extremes.

Anyway, I dont see the sky falling because of this nor do I see the end of America, freedom, etc...etc...I see it as drastic hyperbole from some regarding the fate they are sure we will face. If you think I am some bright eyed optimist that thinks all is well, you are wrong...I will wait and see but I think the worst case is we have another bad president like so many others.

    Need sleep now.

Thank you. Finally a post I can gain something from. I should not be attacking a fellow Ron Paul supporter. You should be clearer with your opinions.

Very few even college educated people I know will not take the time to educate themselves when it comes to politics. Not even just a little bit. They don't 'have time'. For the most part, these people are very smart. They are out there.

I don't have much faith in the younger generation. Maybe it comes from experiences. I don't know. I just don't think there's much independent thinking going on. More like a lot of CNN, Oprah, MTV brainwashing going on, because that is easier.

Maybe its a good thing Ron Paul didn't run. If he would have ran against Obama and lost, I would have thought about flipping a car over and burning it myself. :D

All things will not come to an end Jan. 20th. I do think we're in for a long 4 years. Some of it won't be Obama's fault. Other stuff?, we'll see what he gets into. We're going to find out a lot more about Obama than anybody knows right now. 2010 can't get here fast enough. I think we're going to need much more in 'checks and balances' than we have right now.

Sit back, grab your popcorn. The Show's about to start.

I agree with you but I also believe he had plenty of time to practice it, starting the day after the RNC Convention. ;) I know he wishes he'd picked someone else as his running mate, but he wasn't the one that picked her, it was his advisers that told him to and he followed their advice and it would have been his advisers that would have ran the show for the next 4 years and considering how well they proved to be effective in his campaign, it scares me to think of how close we came to a total economic collapse, under the McCain/Failin regime.

Thank God America has wised up after 8 years of Baby Bush teaching them what a chicken looks like. :D

Mind if I help out? :D I got so sick of the naysayers before the elections, spouting their lies and mis-truths. Barack says It's Time for Change, well . . . that means it's time to turn the tide on all the ones that preached the hate and discontent before the election, by rubbing their noses in the TRUTH!

Please do all the nose rubbing you can, it's a welcomed sight! ;)

Well, the people I know are all rather well informed...or at least they try their best to wade through all the crap like anyone else. But that just might be the people I know...They may not be indicative of the whole.

Though I do have faith in our younger generation and in general have a very high respect for Americans as a whole. I have a feeling all older generations might have had doubts about the younger ones and shook their heads as they went out to vote for the 'change' candidate of their generation.

They are very susceptible to getting wrapped up into a movement...they are also often time a lot more idealistic until the world and human nature teaches them the error of being idealists :) Then THEY change! Regardless, I still want them to vote, get active...because that is how they learn, its important to me that we all get at least that one thing...a vote..regardless of how they use it...it is their right. If that means things go less my way because they are now active in politics, so be it.

I know when I was young, I thought I was right about everything and that my father was just stuck in the past...I rebeled against those old farts. Later I see the wisdom SOME of those old farts might have had. So I learned from my own mistakes.

I see Obama as much like Kennedy in his appeal, in that people swooned over him, acted like he was the savior of the US and the world, the greatest thing since sliced bread...a rock star like following...

I am approaching 40 now...not exactly old but not a young un any more and I know when I was younger I was much more idealistic and find myself still with pangs of hope for America seeing things more my way...reality then sets in an I remember that they are ALL politicians...even Ron Paul.

In the end, if there is one thing I still have faith in is the ability of the US to overcome anything....I just wont pull my hair out lamenting the downfall of the US or spend my time trying to make people 'get it' like I 'get it' because in the end, people will go their own way and the more someone harps on something to me, the more obsessed I see a person is, the more extreme they are, the more distasteful I find it and the less credence I will give what they are saying until I just stop listening to them.
