    THE FOSSIL RECORD REFUTES EVOLUTION

    http://en.harunyahya.tv/videoDetail/Product/4797/THE_FOSSIL_RECORD_REFUTES_EVOLUTION

The fossil record is perhaps the most important evidence that demolishes the theory of evolution's claims. Fossils reveal that life forms on Earth have never undergone even the slightest change and have never developed into one another. Examining the fossil record, we see that living things are exactly the same today as they were hundreds of millions of years ago, in other words, that they never underwent evolution. Even during the most ancient periods, life forms emerged suddenly with all their complex structures–with the perfect and superior features, just as do their counterparts today.

Utter hogwash sorry but just look at how man has changed over the centuries, we are bigger than our ancestors for starters, the same goes for horses all things evolve and adapt :D

Makes as much sense as this thread.

That is not evidence of evolution being wrong, as we have changed over the years, along with other animals. Did we evolve from monkeys? No. Did we evolve from man that look similiar to apes? Yes. We evolve most likely to help us adapt to our enviroment, IMHO.

And from what did man similar to apes evolve?

If you believe in creation, then they didn't. I could be wrong, but I don't see where evolution needs to date back to a cell or something, where a man can be created, and evolve from that, IMHO.

    Do you believe in creation?

What about Adam and Eve? Christians are supposed to believe we were placed here on earth as we are...human...how can one be Christian and not believe in the story of Adam and Eve?

As for evolution, the fossil records CLEARLY show that organisms have changed over many millions of years...adaptation. I guess the question is are we related to monkeys...I believe yes...I have little doubt that we have a common ancestor...their genetic make-up is so close to us, they have much the same features as us. I marvel at how one can look at a primate and not see the striking similarities between us and not only primates but the HUGE amount of humanoid creatures that have been found.

I think people just have a big problem with the thought that millions of years ago we might have been living in trees. I saw a show about underprivileged people who live in Appalachia...they showed a woman who was teaching a science class and she said, and I quote directly 'Some people say we evolved from monkeys, I dont know about YOU but I know I didnt come from monkeys' :)

Evolution is not in any way a concrete knowledge base...there are indeed gaps and there are indeed times when a new find...like the miniature humans they found in Indonesia... rewrite the timeline or change our ideas of what might have lived when...but with each find, another gap is filled, and no new finds have put into question the basis of the theory and that is that we evolved from a lower order. I find it a much better system then just saying god did it.

There are species who evolved in a very closed environment, on an island, and these creature shrunk and changed...they found pigmy dinosaurs, little T-rexes the size of a human beings.

They have found fish, the same as any other fish of the type...but because they were isolated in a cave somehow, over the years, these fish lost their eyes....they didn't need them any more so lost them. They have found fossil records of horses that go back all the way to creature that looked more like pigs than horse but one cannot deny that certain feature were SO SIMILAR to that of the horses found much later in the same area that there is little doubt these were pre-horse fossils...

How a person could seriously look at fossil records and not see that organism change I do not know, it is my feeling that people like the OP have never taken the time to look at them and understand what they are showing. I have had this conversation with my wife and every time I offer to show her fossil records of organisms that have changed drastically...she has better things to do, which is convenient since she doesn't believe she evolved from a primate or are somehow remotely related to them. :)

I believe in creation and Adam & Eve. I also believe people are different than those animals that may have evolved & adapted over time- we didn't need to evolve.
Concerning evolution, did you ever consider that the "pre-historic man" was an animal that possibly evolved into what we now call apes & monkeys rather than vice versa?

Can't say I've heard THAT theory before David. That would really be difficult to explain with science for sure.

Now if "man" didn't have to evolve just how in the hell did this world get to be such a rotten place?

Well then there is no point to your posts. And please dont try to justify the belief by writing that the bible did mention dinosaurs with the words Great monsters. because I find it hard to believe every other single creature in the bible was named. But great monsters would suffice for dinosaurs.

What do you mean there is no point to my posts? It is reasonable to believe in evolution, and the creation at the same time. I don't believe we evolved from micro-organisms, or such, but I do believe that we were created, and we have evolved from that, to adapt to our enviroment. If you could kindly point me to where that is wrong, then I will change my views, based on, of course, the evidence that is provided.

You mean wearing underwear or loafers instead of sandals and togas? Adapt like learning to work at night and reast at day where it is hot? Instead of swinging in trees we adapted to walk on the ground? What do you mean adapt? Was life created 70 million years ago? And then man was created? Do you have evidence to prove creationism?

No, please its ok. You dont have to. So if god created man in his own image, was that image a knuckle dragging hunchback? With a wink towards Lucifer, saying,''This should really f%&#ing confuse them for a couple of hundred thousand years.''.

What about the idea I laid out earlier that the "knuckle dragging hunchbacks" evolved into the apes/monkeys we know today rather than evolving into your ancestors?
