If the infrastructure and communications has military use, it really doesn't qualify as terrorism to me. But, yes, I agree the lines can be blurred. However, I disagree with the correlation that terrorists can automatically be considered freedom fighters just because they won.
Ah that is not what I said, The Contras were classed by the west as Freedom fighters even though they used exactly the same methods as the Sandinistas had JW I am happy to take that as the ultimate compliment coming from you LOL
I don;t know a tremendous amount about the Contra/Sandinista period. It would not surprise me if both sides qualified as 'terrorists'. I am sure neither would probably fit the definition I would make of a 'Freedom Fighter' then or now.
I totaly agree Stu they were both of the same ilk but the perception portrayed in the media and by politicians to the western world was diametricaly opposit to each other LOL
I don't doubt it. I think I was in high school during that period of time. I am sure I was busy with other things. lol
You might be right, did anyone count how many fingers are on her closed hand. Looks like it might be three which means she is not flipping the bird and is just being a kid exploited for political gain or hate.
She is what? Like 5 or 6? I doubt she was intentionally flipping the bird, she may have been flicking a boogie, but definitely not flipping the bird.
I think they were generally called 'guerrillas' back then, weren't they? I suspect that has changed over time as the terror tactics became more prevalent as opposed to the normal insurgency type tactics used against military government targets. And possibly as it became more international too?
Well I dont know how old you are. But terrorist wasnt a word we used until recently to describe those who commited crimes by fire power.
If you don't have the intelligence to tell the difference between a terrorist and a law peace-loving law abiding citizen then there is no hope for you. Your mind is full of crap.
