I didn’t look it up but I am betting that his swearing in will include some verbiage along the lines of protecting our nation from enemies foreign and domestic. If that man will uphold American values, abide by that oath and not those of his running buddy Piker, I don’t care what he wants to call himself. I’ll support him. If he tries to destroy us from within the man will be run out of DC on rails and I’ll lead the charge.
Weird to see markets soaring on a rout by Democrats. Even the markets recognize Trump's policies and chaos are bad for business
At the end of the day, is it not a nice thing that We live in Democratic Nations. In Russia, free and fair elections are not allowed, and if you dare challenge Putin, you will end up DEAD like Navaly. Trump even gave the Democrats praise, that was a "class act" Hopefully, both parties can work together to pass bills.
If you’re implying that the dumbocrats winning elections is the cause for the “markets soaring”, would you also say that the dumbocrats winning is the cause for the markets to drop precipitously? Asking for a friend…
Outstanding! You beat me to questioning this loss of a soaring market wing, causing a nose dive. AND, I THINK WE MIGHT HAVE THE SAME FRIEND.....
Oh, I've learned to anticipate Democrats taking credit for everything that goes right and denigrating Conservatives for everything that doesn't . . .
Uh oh! It’s dropping even more. Maybe the realization that socialism and communism are the worst things for an economy is setting in.
Damn it, democrats! Don't ruin it for the rest of us. Try to remember that the DOW average reached its all-time highest peak EVER this past summer in August when... you guessed it... Donald Trump was president. He is still president for the next two years (at least) and we will happily see more increases in the near future. Take a backseat, democrats and the rest of the country will be just fine. I wonder if @GeneWright will have the courage to engage..... Stocks plunge as Dem midterm sweep fuels AI regulatory concerns The Nasdaq entered correction territory as a sharp selloff in AI and semiconductor stocks swept across Wall Street November 5, 2026 U.S. stocks plunged on Thursday as a sharp sell-off in AI stocks rattled Wall Street. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished down 1,833.06 points, or 3.44%, while the Nasdaq Composite had its worst day since April 2025, closing 5.52% lower. The Nasdaq closed in correction territory, meaning it finished at least 10% below its Oct. 6 record closing high. Technology and chip stocks were among those hardest hit as investors weighed what Democrats' sweeping midterm election victories could mean for AI regulation and data center development. The sell-off came just one day after stocks rallied following the midterm elections. "The obvious catalyst for the sharp selloff is that markets are pricing in the midterm results, after yesterday saw markets rise across the board as the political risk premium unwound," eToro market analyst Jakub Rochlitz said. Rochlitz said that rising electricity prices helped turn the rapid construction of power-hungry data centers into a political issue during the midterm campaign, with some Democrats calling for restrictions or pauses on new projects. The market’s interpretation is that the AI infrastructure buildout will become slower and more expensive, which is rewriting growth expectations across the whole supply chain," Rochlitz added. The losses extended beyond chipmakers. Meta Platforms fell 3.96%, and Amazon and Google parent Alphabet also declined. Data center operators IREN, Applied Digital and Nebius Group each fell more than 14%. Companies tied to supplying power and equipment to the AI boom were also caught in the rout, including GE Vernova and Constellation Energy. Tesla shares plunged about 10.77%, while SpaceX dropped 9.05%. The broader market also suffered heavy losses, with the S&P 500 falling 4.36%. "This feels like the capitulation phase for the data center capex beneficiary stocks, especially the semiconductors," Jed Ellerbroek, portfolio manager at Argent Capital Management, told Reuters. "But I think the magnitude of the moves is outsized." Many analysts said the scale of the declines, which have now extended into a second straight day, suggests sentiment is changing, which could portend further selling, likely starting with Friday's market sessions in Asia. Japan's Nikkei and Korea's Kospi have risen strongly this year, both up more than 20%, but they declined significantly following Wednesday's Wall Street rout and might be expected to do the same on Friday. https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/stocks-nov-5-2026
Regulation crushes all economic activity and I fear this will be the burden all of us in business will bear the next two years.
Wait a minute....members are not baiting you; factually, you were baiting, with the commentary via Post# 2144, the unedited one-with the lol/got under your skin childish cleverness attempt worthy of the 2nd Grade schoolyard recess. #2144 was a muliti-bait salvo, and certainly designed with a snicker and Whataboutism snide intent. I realize you do not care to respond to my thoughts.....a failure of your psyche attempts to portray yourself as a fair and just Intellectual.... because, well, posers don't debate and prefer to obfuscate. OK, don't respond to my thoughts. However, it is simple manners to explain your position to the rest of the members, for the simple reason that you opine that the market going up is weird, and due to the "rout", caused by POTUS Trump policies causing chaos and that is bad for business. I don't take umbrage with your Right to share your opinion. However, that gauntlet question is still a quandary of your position: THE MARKET DROPPED SIGNIFCANTLY, THE VERY SAME EVENING. Refusing to address this simple question, is at best discourtesy and in the communications world, leaves a stench of cowardly intellectualism...a favorite tool of the soldiers of the Ideology Of Division Party.. It was introduced into the world by Khrushchev, in 1953. And here we are. So, is it difficult for you to offer a modicum of respect to other members, by sharing your thoughts on the unexplained inconsistency of the rout of the market on the exact same day?
