You sure have . . . you progressives exemplify the term! Yeah, those Starbucks cups are perfectly emblematic of the general progressive energy around Christianity. Every holiday season they must refresh the cup design to breathe new life into their controversy. No mention though of Shiva, of Allah, or even of Lucifer. Get a real problem . . . Really? We've got a real problem . . . PROGRESSIVISM! I've said it before, and I'll say it again . . . it's Donald Trump who spoke those words . . . pay little attention to the words spoken, and more to the actions which follow.
Oh puhleez.... I didn't even have a dog in the fight until my church got a complaint about our lighted nativity some Christmases back..... We weren't the ones doing the whining there partner.... And I am proud to say the lighted nativity still goes up every Thanksgiving much to the bitter tears of the neighborhood whiner.
Why would anyone complain? Afterall, Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ. In Germany, we have Saint Nicholas Day on Dec. 6th. Then Weinachten on Dec. 24, instead of Santa Klaus bring gifts, chocolate barrels filled with brandy, etc. its the Kriskind (Christchild) No one complains in Germany.
Worshipping the birth of Christ is “offensive” to leftists, deviants, and weak willed mustachioed cross dressing creeps in dresses. I have no idea why but it tends to make them wail and whine loudly.
In Germany parents try their best to instill "Family Values" on their kids. Also, outside of the home, the young people are molded by their parents, teachers, priests to have proper values. By this I mean.... Respect for elders To be on time To work hard to get ahead in life Obey the laws Be precise, disciplined and honest Thats is why Germany is the top economic and military power in Europe, and would defeat Russia in any upcoming war, on their own.
As a non-Christian, I've got no dog in the fight. Do people really care Trump posted a picture of himself as Jesus? I can't be bothered to care, but a lot of Christians seem upset by it?
I am man enough to bite.... I am Christian, voted for Trump and I am a full time flag waiver, regardless of who may be carrying the mantle. No, I do not find anything tasteful about this image. In fact it repulses me. There are many things the man says and does that I find distasteful.... However, the ills he has healed far outweigh any raw feelings I may have concerning his style. He is a deal maker. We knew that going in. Much like a chess master he is looking 4-5 moves ahead in all that he does. Unlike our previous POTUS that slept out his four year term, this man has worked tirelessly. Yet, he gets no credit for his incredible work ethic (a trait deeply lacking in our society today), nor does he get any credit for his many successes. Like many strong leaders in our history, the man has flaws. I will take those flaws as well as his narcissistic character, and yes that too rubs me raw, because a short sixteen months ago, there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Now there is.
"Light at the end of the tunnel" in what concrete ways? Cost of living worse than ever, gas prices out of control, alienation of our allies followed up by a new war we seemingly have no plan for... what exactly are you seeing?
Trump's "Achilles Heel" is his choice of friends on the international court. He seems to be in love with tyrants like "Little Rocket Boy" Putin, Orban, Fico, even had US UN rep. vote with the "rogue UN members"! While he threatens Denmark (Greenland) rest of NATO, Colombia, Mexico, Canada. Yes, cost of living here is high too, tariffs higher oil prices, contributed to problem But He was right to get rid of Maduro, but should have installed the Lady that actually won that election. The VP was part of Maduro cabal. Iran, he needs to get rid of the Regime, you cannot negotiate with a murderous Islamic Regime. In few years they will have their nukes courtesy of TRump's dearest pal, Putin.
Stopping the runaway liberal inflation train (transitory, my arse!) will take a lot of pain and suffering, as forecast by so many a long while ago. A price worth paying to avoid nuclear war. Allies? . . . who would have us wait until Iran used a nuclear weapon before even endorsing our pre-emptive actions, let alone assist us with them? The end of illegal immigration. The re-establishment of merit-based compensation over big tent membership . . . The reversal of a very long, very steep societal slide.
Here’s my deal. Far as I am concerned, nothing matters except tomorrow. The nation and legacy that I leave for my kids and grandkids to aspire to are quite literally everything. I truly believed that when I left the US Army and SaltII was agreed to that my kids would not have to live in the shadow of nuclear war which is the true end-all. That shadow grew the last ten years. While I do have feelings about this Iran war that I won’t voice publicly until men and women are out of harms way, ending the threat of nuclear war at Irans hands I do certainly give Trump big props for. Eighteen months ago we lived in an economic uncertainty. No longer. Anyone that wants to work can work. My business is exploding with opportunities. I hit the door today before 5am to get a leg up on the opportunities available. Fact is, when the economy is working, business has to build to keep up and the rise in construction opportunities is palpable in my office. I want to leave a world where my kids can work, grow and build families that also have opportunities ahead. That can’t happen when our country is mired in social experimentation. Work creates self worth. People with self worth make better citizens. And better citizens make better families and that represents tomorrow to me.
Jawohl, the Iranian Islamic Rep. can NEVER be allowed nukes. Truman made same mistake twice. First not heeding Patton and Churchill's sage advice to finish off the Stalinist USSR in 1945. Second, not listening to MacArthur in finishing off North Korea, and even taking out Red China in 1950. Look what happened as a result, two psyschos, Putin and Kim with nukes.
And you know that this is a shill argument. These gas prices were the norm throughout Biden's term. My aged memory may be fading, but not that much.
It was getting better. All Trump had to do was stay the course and take victory laps, but thanks to Tariffs and new wars we're seeing no relief. If I'm Iran, I definitely want nuclear weapons now. The late Khamenei had issued a fatwa against nuclear weapons development that you can question the veracity of, but it held true for 3 decades. Didn't matter in the end, if I'm his son I 100% want a nuclear deterrent. We're closer to nuclear war than ever thanks to Trump and I don't think that's a controversial take. "Pre-emptive" at least we agree the U.S. are the aggressors here... why in the world would they follow our madman into battle when he didn't even give most of them advance warning it was going to happen? Can you demonstrate your claims? Empty rhetoric and buzzwords
It hasn't hit yet in America. Stabilization via short term lifting sanctions on Russia will only help for so long. You're seeing the early stages if this war he chose continues.
Taking a nap is not Trump's style . . . he'll keep working at improving things, while a hypocrat would just rest on his / her laurels . . . assuming there were any liberal successes for which to take credit. That's a stretch! The tariffs were meant to repatriate work without trying to force companies to bring it back. It's working, and just takes time . . . now all we have to do is convince the liberal flat-liers to look inward for enough shreds of dignity to actually accept the work and follow through! New wars (plural?). Responsibility for the war in Ukraine is owned by liberals, not by Trump. The war on Iran is owned by Iran. Oh, and the war on Greenland? . . . you are much dumber than I thought! The elder Khamenei’s fatwa stated that the production, stockpiling, and use of nuclear weapons are haram (religiously forbidden) under Islamic law. Literally, it declares that such weapons are weapons of mass destruction, kill innocents, and violate religious prohibitions on genocide . . . interesting, isn't it that the same religious prohibitions on genocide didn't prevent the killing of tens of thousands who demonstrated against him. That he persisted in refining uranium so far beyond the 4% purity needed to deliver nuclear energy to his nation speaks to his eagerness to give lip service to others while serving his own agenda behind the curtain. We're certainly not closer to nuclear war today than we were 6 weeks ago. Having destroyed Iran's centrifuge farms, their ability to refine more uranium is severely retarded. Moreover, with so much of their high end industrial capacity also destroyed, whatever refined uranium they managed to save from their existing stockpile shouldn't be weapon-ready for a very long while. Pre-emption and aggression are usually not the same, just as they are not in this case. I did not say our allies should follow us into battle . . . I lamented their refusal to endorse our pre-emptive actions. They've known the facts about Iran's breach of past agreements, and their deceptive nuclear buildup, yet they leave it to the US to expend its resources and do the unpopular work to avoid dirtying their own hands. Do you even realize how stupid the last half of that question sounds? Regarding those two issues in particular, I'm seeing that light at the end of the tunnel with my own eyes . . . open yours and stop asking others to do the work for you. Sorry, I forgot . . . you are a liberal. Only the die-hard Marxists believe that.
