SO I got this email which I'm sure is legit and decided to give you all a chance if you haven't gotten it.

All I ask is that you send me $10,000 - cash of course. For your measely $10,000 I can get you a cool $1,000.000.

Now I'm going to paste the basic information here but there is more in order to get the money.

    PM me if interested.

    "IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF YOUR FUND.

    Attention Beneficiary,

The Federal Government of Nigeria has decided to pay you the sum one million dollars (USD$1,000,000.00 ) as compensation to all that you have lost in the hand fraudulent individuals through our Oil Reserve Consolidated Account due to some anomalies and discrepancies in most of our federal ministries, local banks, NNPC and the nations apex bank, Central Bank of Nigeria.

However, full scale and detailed investigation revealed that you have paid colossal amount of money to fraudulent individuals in time past and for that cogent reason the Federal Government of Nigeria decided to solely compensate you with one million Us Dollars (USD$1,000,000,00) through our Oil Reserve Consolidated Account for safety reasons.
For this singular payment purpose, you should get back to me to enable us contact the the chairman of the debt reconciliation committee set up by the federal government of Nigeria to handle and pay you your fund and you should send to him your current receiving mailing address where the draft/fund will be delivered to you to enable him perfect the final delivery of your draft/fund to you.

    Below is my contact information.

    NAME: Barister Paul Alfred
    EMAIL ADDRESS: barister_paul01@yahoo.com

You have to contact him once you receive this message to instruct him where you want your fund to be delivered to you so that he can arrange for the delivery of your draft/fund to you.
Sorry for what you might have gone through in the hands of our past dubious governmental officials and fraudulent individuals in time past.

Be warnes ,You should avoid and prevent any thing that can cause unnessary delay as this might be the last opportunity for you to receive all money you lost in the hand of fraudulent individuals in time past ,hence all your past efforts and contact to receive your money failed you.

    Once again congratulation.
    Respectfully yours,
    Barister Paul Alfred"

They must be going broke again, since they are having to get off their crusty bums and send us these lousy emails again. I have gotten a couple of them.

Have you ever thought of responding to them with fictitious information?

Job - Indicted Mayor of Detroit
    Income - Too Much
    Bank Account - Washington Mutual
    Account Number 0156878973

It's not only these sort of emails that have supposedly come out of Nigeria. You even get ones that are supposed to have come from Burkina Faso, the Ivory Coast,Ghana,Sierra Leone,Italy,& Spain.

Do what Dan has suggested - click the 'Spam' button in your email folder,& then 'Delete'.

It's as bad as those who are doing the fake university degree scam - the spelling & grammar in these emails is just shocking beyond belief.

    Aidan.

That scam is over 10 years old from Nigeria anyway. Used to be more polished.

    Isa,
While it is a old scam, there are still gullible people that get sucked in.I wouldn't dare get involved in that.

    Aidan.

Aidan wouldn't get you involved in that Nigerian scam, but he will condemn you to hell if you don't go along with his narrow minded form of belief system.

Or let's just take away their internet access until the continent can behave. I think by then the internet will be archaic, though.

I replied to one of these goofballs a few years ago, and they didn't even have the decency to start scamming me!

Oh the words I can think of for them for that non action!

Let's see if these slip by the censors.

    Big Poopyheads!
    Dung beetle farmers!
    Illegitimate children!

Wow, that should make them feel bad.
