Lots of press reports of utter doom if Iran closes the Strait. My question is, how are the Iranians going to close it?
US has complete control either on water or in air. Any attempt by the Iranian navy to lay mines or harass tankers is a fantasy. The US navy controls all the waters, around Iran, the air force the skies, the Iranian navy is probably all been sent to Davey Jones Locker. All the US needs to do, eliminate all Iranian IRGC missile launchers, either in storage or in open sight. The ultimate goal has to be a regime change with US backed new govt., then the problems are laid to rest. You do not want these turkeys a second chance. Only a total victory is acceptable.

Can't close the straight without ships.

Not only does Iran not have ships, but President Trump today promised the US Navy will escort oil tankers through the Strait.

Unfortunately, those wackos still have missiles to hit tankers with. Also Khameini's son is now new Supreme Leader. Those in the know, say he makes Dad look like Mother Theresa. Time to take Him out to join Dad.:D

I have no doubt he’s in the crosshairs. It’s definitely time for a family reunion.

I would say the oil companies are hoseing us royally. Once, all Iranian missile, drone sites are flattened, the Strait should be back in action. CNN reported that average Iranians are going about their business oblivious to war. Well, thats because the US/ Israeli campaign is carefull not to injure, kill innocent civilians, unlike Iran's ally Russia. Meanwhile Tucker Carlson is negative on US/ Israeli objectives. Maybe he should join Scott Ritter and Col. MacGregor;) on Putin-Khameini bandwagon.

The oil companies are not pushing the margins . . . that's not how it works. They are all trying to refill their tanks as they draw down, and especially before they empty out . . . They're all competing for priority in deliveries, and paying premiums to make up for days lost in the stretched supply chain. It takes extra money to make that happen (Think expedite charges in private industry) . . . lots of it.

I just cannot believe that in this day and age, everything is on record, and yet there are those crazies who see nothing wrong with either the disgusting Kremlin Dictatorship or the Islamic Iranian Terrorist Regime. We can thank this President for (a) getting rid of Maduro (b) Khameini and his henchmen and (c) Cuban Marxixt Dictatorship. And to add hopefully (d) destroy Russian Federation via sanctions.

Are we watching the same illegal war of aggression?

Unlike yourself, most people aren't looking at the liberation of the Iranian people through foggy communist lenses. Check if your ophthalmologist will change you to a clearer prescription.

Even if the doctor would willingly render the services for free, I doubt GW would accept.

Not really Gene. The people of Iran, suffering from the criminal and insane policies of the Islamic Regime, started peacefully protesting in December 2025. As you know, there also were prior protests when that poor girl was murdered by the so called "Morality Cops" A little history, Iran was a prosperous nation before that scumbag
Khomeini usurped power, also women walked about in mini skirts, bikinis on hot days. Under the Khameini regime, they were treated like cattle. Also the regime spent all of the nations GNP on war, terror and their security apparatus.

I try to be 100 percent objective as You know, I critiqued Trump on his Ukraine policy, still do. He has to pressure that dirtbag in Moscow to end the illegal invasion.
You see the difference here, what the Kremlin did in Feb. 24th, 2022 was an illegal war of aggression. Here we had a tyrant trying to destroy a democratic nation. In the Iran War, we have President (Trump) who saw the months of suffering, mass slaughter, economic chaos, and did the right thing, his goal is "regime change".We should all be on the right side of history, and wish the POTUS success. Venezeula was also the right thing to have done, however, He must order the current President to hold FAIR and FREE elections asap. Hopefully, the Island of Marxist controlled Cuba will be free soon.....
Of course, Greenland, Canada 51st State are nonsense, plus they are allies. He must finish the Regime in Iran, let the people there decide if they want the Shah back. Force elections in Venezeula. Liberate Cuba.

Most important is that the US make a military alliance with Ukraine, let them help US with updating its drone production, tech advances which Zelenskyy will share.:)

Why do you and others on the left ALWAYS go to the extreme with your comments? Is it a learned behavior? If your wife serves a dinner that doesn’t suit your taste do you respond to her similarly? “Why do you always serve me burned slop?”….. It’s really tiring. I am a conservative and I too have hesitations about this action, but we are there now so it is now incumbent on me to support the patriots that are in harms way. Stop with this extremism please. It is beyond tiring.

It is like being in a room with Chuck Schumer or something. Nobody likes the man but they all parrot him and he is the most repulsive person in the senate.

No it isn't. It's absolutely not too late. Resist new war.

What did I say that was untrue? The war is illegal, we're killing civilians (i guess due to incompetence?), and the war is definitionally one of aggression.

Each of the previous four POTUS’s has commented that we have to address Irans aggression towards the US. A case could be easily made that Iran has been the aggressor the last forty-odd years. I was a soldier when they took the hostages back in the late 1980’s. Every POTUS since has bungled and eaten crow with Iran and they have repeatedly claimed American lives…. So I’m not buying this “war of aggression” line. That’s nothing more than political theater and I’m a bit too salty to buy into it…. I do have my own reservations, but they are more core to the problem and don’t smack of theatrics.

But, that horrible so called Regime has murdered 45-50K people in past 3 months. They also supply and finance terrorists organizations like HAMAS/ ISIS/ HOUTHIS/ HEZBOLLAH. And they are, were supplying the disgusting Kremlin war mongers with missiles, drones to kill innocent civilians in Ukraine. Its bad enough that North Korea/ China/ Russian Terrorist Federation have nukes, we SURE do not want the Khameini thugs to get them too. The civilian death toll is a sad reality, but the US are trying their best not to harm innocent civilians. Unlike what Iran has done in past week. Or the Russians who target civilians on purpose, even go on human safaris vs kids and old ladies. We forget, that in 1944 the USAAF killed more civilians in Tokyo Fire bombing then Hiroshima, the bombing in Iran is very precise and humane......

Being overseas you likely don’t have the opportunity to see young men and women that have returned from overseas conflicts. Many, many of these young men and women are missing limbs. Why? Because IED’s were a product of Irans economy. Don’t tell me that we are waging a war of aggression.
