It appears both sides have made a decision on their choice for VEEP. I'm guessing Romney (knowledge of economic issues & the possibilty of delivering MA & MI) & Biden (Experience, foreign policy).
If Obama wants to lose the election he will pick the team of Billary. I ponder that betwixt Romney and Lieberman it is a toss up, McCain might want to reach across the aisle for the liberal vote and go with Lieberman. If that happened, could you see it - Al Gore and John McCain picked the same Veep.
My money is Evan Bayh for Obama. Biden hates America too much and has a bad habit of shooting from the hip, his comments will only hurt Obama. O is in big trouble and the Dems know it. He is sinking like a rock in a pond, and every day make more gaffes and statements that prove how unready he is to lead. He has fumbled and hemhawwed like a deer in the headlights, and will only continue to do so. Camp Clinton has not gone away and the silence should tell you something. Hillary still has her delegats and is on the ballot for the nomination. IF the dems are smart and want to win this election, they will have to lose the Big O. McCain on the other hand is in a pickle. He is just now beginning to fool the short term memory conservatives into thinking he is one of them. A Lieberman pick will be the final straw, he'll lose them. Romney is a Morman ( I am not ) and America is not ready for that, the evangelicals will run for the hills. While Romney is the best conservative out there, and would be my choice for the job of POTUS, he was tag teamed by the tax raising open border Huckabee ( who installed a Mexican consulate in Arkansas for the illegal chicken industry workers) and MCCain during the primarys. McCain must pick a strong conservative, and a strong WOMAN conservative would be the icing on the cake. He will snag the Hillary crowd and lock. Any weakness or reaching by McCain at this point will piss off his wavering conservative crowd who are hanging on by a thread. He has already lost his base, the media, and any more shenanigans will cost him any possibility of winning. My pick if I were McCain? Alaska Governor Sarah Palin !!!
Honestly until earlier today seeing her name in a short list of candidates for Veep, I had never heard of her. But I believe her looks are a quality at least, a good contrast to that old grey wrinkled guy as Paris Hilton referred to him. She would be a good crossover, but conservative choice. The Romney - Mormon analogy is interesting. He is a conservative, has conservative values, has been married to the same woman and only woman since 1969... but he is a practitioner of a faith that views itself as mainstream, but still is regarded as a cult by many.
I have no idea who it will be but I think this is a much more important choice for McCain than Obama.

I hope he doesn't pick bad luck Joe Lieberman, Sarah Palin would be an attractive and intelligent pick, she is conservative, but not isolatingly so. I do hope Osama picks Biden though, I can see more dumpster dive for his polls should he do that.
Rice carries too much Bush baggage and Johnny Mc needs to lose that. If O picks Kathleen Sebelius ( Kansas Guv) that will attract some of the pissed off women in the H camp and would be a smart move, but we have not seen many smart moves from O these days. His pandering to the pro-life crowd has seriously backfired, his mis-steps on Georgia are going to come up again, and he needs to really break the news cycle, something fresh and off the charts. Any same old same old will hurt him, the Repos will play tape after tape of Biden or the other losers bashing him in the debates as unexperienced, the Repos are praying he picks Biden or any of the other losing candidates. I have seen shorts of some 527 commercials and heard some audio, it will be hilarious. McCain is making serious inroads and is slowly gaining. He cannot win without the conservatives and is starting to see that. Any liberal pick from him will be devastating to the campaign. Hell, for all we know, he could name Meg Whitman, his finance chair and X-CEO of Ebay !!!!!! Now wouldn't that be a hoot !!!!
