Do you have any examples of him personally doing these things? That's the big issue I have. Nobody here has been able to actually show him doing anything illegal, or even questionably legal, yet you're all perfectly happy to condemn and judge him.

So I guess, to answer your question on how far you have to go to "coddle a person with criminal intent," I'd say you at least have to demonstrate their criminal intent. Too far for you?

I AM FORCED TO REPEAT THE ASSESMENT.

Truth in editing : "I" in lieu of "1".

This has been a repeat message on your radio.

Absolutely incorrect. 'Happy' to condemn him? No way, that's much too mild a sentiment. I'm elated, celebrating, and putting POTUS Trump and Tom Homan on a pedestal for executing the mandate I participated in.

Khalil is here in our country only by the grace of our immigration laws and the reckless, wanton, disregard of those laws by the braindead former president.. He has ZERO right to be here. He lied on his immigration form and needs to be removed from our sovereign nation. He also needs to be restricted from ever returning to our country.

    Let me try, without accusations.

The gentleman was (and having had the privilege of interacting with Sayeret Matkal) IDF, and I was informed by these Patriots that once IDF always IDF.

The gentleman, an American Citizen born in the U.S. left college to go to Israel and join IDF (why not join the U.S. Armed Forces?). He describes his upbringing as Left Wing indoctrination from his parents.

OK, so far I don't have any issues.

If we move on with the story, he has interacted with Hezbollah over the years, and Castro, among many others, and has been described as a Zionist and a Sensationalist.

    OK. Nothing so far.

He admittedly is a left Wing Supporter...Democrat...and was instrumental in supporting Clinton (although he was not offended by Clinton security breaches and in fact supported the actions of the Clintons.

OK. I can live with that.

The gentleman is a U.S./Israel Dual Citizen. In his IDF duties, he was a prison guard, and has written about his interactions with PLO Leader Hijazi.

This is problematic. As a dual citizen, he is required to inform the government of unauthorized receipt...intentional or not....of classified information, and upon the realization the unauthorized accidental receipt of classified information has occurred, notify the source, if known, and/or the FBI and immediately stop reading/disseminating the information.

Additionally, the gentleman is required to report any attempts by foreign governments to obtain information of a classified nature. Was he approached? No idea.

I would adamantly opine, that as a U.S. Citizen, to not immediately inform the FBI of the unauthorized receipt of the information, for the simple reason that it endangers lives and aids enemies of the U.S., and you knowingly use the information for your own betterment, is Treason.

A staffer inadvertently added the journalist to the conversation. Unfortunately, mistakes happen.

It’s not like Hegseth or Waltz created their own private server and loaded it with classified info that was easily hacked by our enemies.

Or it’s not like they kept boxes of highly classified info they never should have had in their garage next to an old Corvette.

In our modern world of complicated methods of communication, sometimes inadvertent mistakes will happen. There was nothing insidious about a journalist mistakenly being added to a conversation and steps need to be taken to assure it doesn’t happen again.

Now, what that journalist did with the information AFTER he became privy to it should be investigated thoroughly.

Interesting...I was asked by a member, how does anybody know if the gentleman thought he had received unauthorized information, and that stating that would appear I was "accusing" the gentleman.

    Fair question.

I stated this, because... earlier.....the gentleman identified the receipt of the information sent to him as 'inadvertent", and still proceeded to describe publicly the contents of the information received. The gentleman must have continued reading....AND PUBLISHING....same.

I will not state that the gentleman did not receive the information by design and intent to make certain he received same. That is a matter for the FBI Et Al to assess.

That is certainly a possibility, and is a valid consideration.

    Any other questions?

And, anticipating an obvious (to me) question, as to the remarks of SECDEF concerning the issue, it would be wise for SECDEF to not be disrespectfully haughty to the Public in the future, and rein in his frustrating temperament reaction. It was not necessary to do so. SECDEF should have simply stated that the incident is being investigated by the FBI Et Al, and the Public AND CONGRESS will be informed of the result of the investigation, and such incidents will not occur again.

I do have a personal thought concerning avoiding the danger of dissemination of such information to unauthorized individuals. It is a simple process:

Any and all such conversations are to be conducted in a SKIF. THAT is and was the purpose of designing and building same....in every Classified Facility/Embassy and DOD C&C location in the world.

    So...watsupwidnotdoin'dat? Hmmmm?

Before I forget....this has been a Charley Talk. How about some Likes, please.....

    I know stuff.....

The scandal isn't that a journalist was added, the scandal is that this kind of business was being conducted over a third party commercial app where mistakes like this and others can even occur.

Secondarily, the scandal is that based on the texts, Trump is barely aware of these decisions. A lot "I think this is what he wants" type language. Which is weird for a commander im chief on major military action.

You can whataboutwhatabout all you want, that doesn't make it better.

Actually Clown, THAT is exactly what the Scandal is!.

There would not be a "scandal" if the oft repeated warning was adhered to:

DON'T START NUTTIN AND THERE WON'T BE NUTTIN'.

The gentleman did not report the BREACH, and knowingly participated in receipt of the classified information, and this absence of Decorum and Responsibility and Duty as a Citizen has the appearance that the gentleman did not do so, in order to benefit personally (and maybe other reasons that will have to be reviewed).

First, this isn't a "scandal". It was an honest mistake. It wasn't done intentionally.

Second, referencing your "whataboutism", I seriously don't want to hear from any liberals or democrats about breaches of national security or anything remotely related to breaches of national security. After what Hillary Clinton did and what Joe Biden did, the discussion is completely off the table.

Goldberg wrote in his closing paragraph, "All along, members of the Signal group were aware of the need for secrecy and operations security" . . . Goldberg included.

None of the other members of the Signal group intentionally made this information available to others . . . Goldberg did.

It truly is as simple as that.
