He threw a tantrum that Zelensky wasn't being grateful enough for his liking. I don't know what else to call it.

I don't see any signs of future gains, at least not for the masses.

I would no more call Trump's response a tantrum than call Zelenskyy's blind-side public complaints diplomatic. Zelenskyy should have disclosed / discussed his sentiments about America's previous bad decisions behind closed doors and kept them there. Trump's response was protective of American participation in the negotiations to end this war, not of his personal stature, and certainly not of Vladimir Putin.

No worries . . . you are not among the people I'd expect to anticipate future gains from Trump's efforts.

Do you remember when Biden blew up on Zelenskyy when he wouldn’t kiss Biden’s ring?

Yeah, I figured you wouldn’t remember THAT!

    Hey, GW . . . Here’s a link to remember THAT!

Yep! Just in case @GeneWright doesn't read the link, it reveals that Biden lost his temper, raised his voice and said that Zelenskyy should show a "little more gratitude" (aka "kiss the ring").

Democrats were silent when this happened with Biden. And they're still silent now. What changed?

Liberals are quite adept at circling the wagons around their failed leaders. Still not a single liberal has had a single negative word to say about Biden funneling billions of their hard earned money off to his friends and cronies. Nor will they.

Where can I hear this phone call? Oh, was it done behind closed doors as you prefer things? Not in some public ambush?

For the record, I believe the report, but man it reminds me how much you guys conditionally love anonymous sources.

President Trump is obviously more transparent than some other presidents. In fact, he said something to the effect of "it's good that the American people can see this for themselves". Very refreshing.

If you prefer hidden backroom deals, well, that's your business. I'm enjoying the transparency.

BTW I, too, believe the report that Biden was pissed because Zelenskyy didn't kiss the ring.

I don’t believe you . . . Below, you referenced a phone call (by Biden), and not the filmed conversation with Trump.

I think that makes it pretty obvious I was referring to you... but to each their own

I certainly didn’t take it that way. In any case, employing anonymous sources is the province of liberals.

The “ambush” you reference was in Z confronting Trump in front of the cameras, and not the other way around. A distasteful act, and deserving of the refusal to continue the negotiation without Z going back to his corner and recapturing his wits. My guess is Trump is still willing to help out, but not under terms established when leveraging a live feed as Z did.

I highly doubt it. Let's not forget the preamble to all this was a few weeks of implying Ukraine was to blame for the invasion and that Zelensky is a dictator.

I think you underestimate Trump’s ability to posture before negotiating a solution.

It has to be something, because I certainly don't underestimate his ability to turn on our allies.

Please try hard. It is not as if it was not brought to your attention.

You did correctly identify President ZelenskYY as a Dictator, though, and I will award you points for that.

I didn’t hear anyone calling Biden shameful when he slow walked promised arms to Israel. Tit for tat. Biden’s withholding arms from Israel was designed to cater to voters in Michigan. Trumps withholding arms is to try to pressure a deal to end a war… Now tell me what’s shameful…. Doesn’t matter what the man does. You guys will still disparage the man.

Absolute false equivalency and lazy whataboutism. Israel is more than equipped to level palestine one-hundred times over, as they've demonstrated.

Let's also be clear. It's not a "deal" to end a war in Ukraine, it's extortion.
