What divided the entire country, family and friends, boils down to one single common denominator. President Donald J. Trump.

President Trump was an incredibly shrewd businessman. He played the politics game on both sides of the aisle. He donated to red, blue, maybe not purple. His cronies were ALL the deep state players. He knows their games, lies, misgivings, illegal activities, and anything that can't derail and ultimately dethrone each of them. That's what scares them. When he says he wants to drain the swamp, he's talking from a position of knowledge and power. Unfortunately for President Trump, he requires the help and support of the very ones he wants to bury. Needless to say, that ain't gonna happen. So draining the swamp was and is never ever going to be a possibility.

Both sides of the aisle, at the top of the Congressional ladder, are threatened by President Trump. The newer, younger Congress persons don't have anything to fear. They have no skeletons exposed to him. The longer standing members were in power when things were different. Much more of a good ol boy network that included the good ol girls too. They aren't really scared of him because they know the establishment isn't going to do squat to them. They're the untouchables. What they fear of President Trump is the disruption of 4/8 years of moving their agenda forward. They're all getting up there in years, and another 4 year disruption can easily reintroduce them to RBG. They all want to see the dismantling of the Constitution in their time. President Trump is their stumbling block.

 

I just realized that in order to justify my chicken little/big bad wolf fear mongering, I should have mentioned the number of Carrier Battle Groups we have, for readers to ponder while scratching their navel on the couch:

ELEVEN. That's it. 11, inclusive of maintenance docking and inclusive of undermanned personnel requirements.

Oh, before I forget (my memory is not what it used to be) when the missiles fly, I would like to speak loudly about a myth concerning protection of self: NO! Crawling under the desk DOES NOT work. Neither does DUCK AND COVER.

It’s not that they like Kamaltoe necessarily, it’s that she’s not Biden and she is their only sliver of hope of defeating President Trump. They would back Satan himself if it meant they would have a chance of defeating Trump. So, they are grasping at the only life preserver they can find.

 

That was a very astute analysis, and I would like to bolster it with a personal 'one of the people' observation, concerning this whole popularity thing, with the caveat that I opine from direct hands-on experience:

Whenever POTUS Trump was in residence (and everyone knew he was coming and would be in residence long before any media announcements), there would be and was tailgate parties non-stop, night and day. He was known to "wander" and hold impromptu whaddoyathink visits, throughout the mountain and surrounding area, as would those accompanying him.

The roads would be lined with trucks, jeeps, you name it, and the U.S. Flag was hanging from any tree, truck, house, and mountain local business. I do not mean once, or twice during his residence visits. I mean every darn time. for 4 years.

Yes, it is known as a Republican Stronghold area, and yes, it is not the wealthiest constituency around, but, this NEVER occurred on this level and with the same frequency since POTUS Reagan. Not on any level at all, with Bush 1 &2, not with Carter, not with Obama....

I know it is anecdotal, but the point is....the Media NEVER reported this enthusiasm.

Do I have to ask why not?

 

I keep trying to deny this… However I am afraid somehow that being patriotic is no longer considered a positive attribute in popular culture.

 

Patriotism is still alive and well. But, liberals are chipping away at it. If you believe in America, capitalism, the free market, a strong military, traditional values and hard work, liberals hate you because you don't buy into their groupthink of transforming America.

Attend a Trump rally and you'll see a stadium full of patriots with only one or two miserable anti-American cowards like Thomas Crooks sprinkled in.

Besides most medical guides refer to the thumb as a finger. Just another digit special named because of it's opposed positing. The other digits also have names. Index, ring, middle and pinkie.
